Title: WTS Is anyone interested in new XFX referance 5850's?
Post by: TyGrr on October 04, 2011, 05:38:09 AM
Hello all. I have over time bought 15 of these cards all new and can still buy them new. Is anyone interested in buying them and if so at what price? I can ship them internationally but they will be coming from Thailand. If you are willing to wait a month for them I could also ship them from the USA when I go for a holiday there. Thanks

Well what is a fair price? I was looking at ebay and it seems the range is $275 to $315. Odds are I could do it lower than that since no ebay fees and paypal fees. I have 15 of them in use now, they are good cards. What do you guys think?

Wow, where from? Why don't you sell these on ebay if you can buy them for that price now?

Well if 120 is what the market is here there is no way I can sell these. I was thinking a bit more than that. Well thanks for the eye opener! Peace:)

To be fair, $120 is for (ab)used cards, not new. But since I doubt we'd have a lot of useful warranty on those cards, you might as well buy used cards

I purchased quite a number at the price P4man suggested, (give and take some for S&H).   Even though it is used, but for mining purposes it is just nice.  Pricing is reasonable and I honestly won't be paying too high a premium for new ones.  In fact, I would rather take used than new ones as mentioned about the warranties.

It is 3 years replacement or money back if they don't have them. I had one DOA and one that just did not clock well. They exchanged them both with out blinking an eye. There would be the extra shipping charges if they went bad but the XFX reference cards are rather well made. I know the used price is 120 to 150. I was just shocked people were saying they can buy them new for that price now. Also in the west is the standard warranty 3 years or 1 year for the cards? I cant remember on mine. Thanks.

Problem is 3 year warranty is good, but even if it is one to one exchange, consider the shipping costs, unless the warranty is international in nature.

Don't trust these guys... The market is still 130-160 easy on ebay. and slapped on shipping fees too.

Well, no one said the OP couldnt try selling them on ebay, but have a look on this forum, you wont sell many for $160 on this forum. Months ago I bought one for 105  euro new, 3 year warranty from a local shop

Ok, I agree with u on that. Sorry OP but the bitcoin bubble burst like 6 weeks ago when bitcoin hit 4 dollars. Everybody who isn't dedicated left so you're stuck with them! Let the lowest bid begin!

Well at least there is a base price of $120 and above.  No harm trying to sell these, there are definitely those who prefer warranty for a peace of mind.

Also with 7XXX coming out, it will definitely have an impact on what is left of the 5XXX new or otherwise.  Best to get rid of the stocks asap.

How about 140$ if it's the fullcover model?
