In these times of Internet, television... do you ever listen to the radio anymore?
Personally, I listen to the radio very rarely.

Sometimes, mostly music radio. There are too many alternatives nowadays :)

Never, unless I am in the same car as someone who listens to it. In Sweden there is so much BS propaganda on the channels owned by the goverment, and the music channels just play pop music which doesn't interest me the slightest. We have a station called Bandit Radio which is decent, though, but afaik you can only listen to it if you live in Stochholm or Gothenburg.

I actually do listen to the radio, since my itouch broke. But, honestly no one is these days since they convert that in their cars.

I personally haven't listened to the radio by choice in 5+ years...

There are a lot of very good DAB radios around UK.

I only listen to the radio on the rare occasion I'm in a car, like a taxi or something, everyone I know who drives just hooks up their ipod. But radio was a good way of finding new music, I'm always listening to the same old shit these days.

I agree, the radio is practically dead, unless your in the situation with the person above mentioned.

I'll flip on the AM/FM when I drive and park sometimes, but mostly I get radio content in podcast form, like Johnjay and Rich, or just listen to internet radio and simulcasts.

The tv is better

The only time I turn on the radio is when I'm very very bored and waiting in a car park, sometimes it can be slightly interesting if the news is on but most of the times radio is just somebodies playlist that is being broadcast across the country rather than anything actually interesting.

internet is better and far more interesting depending on what you're searching for :P

At home, only if there's a contest on (caller x wins tickets/cash/etc) or for traffic/severe weather/school closures.

Had Sirius/XM for a couple years. Would rather listen to my own playlist.

Only when I'm forced to at work or in somebodies car etc. There is a few decent stations around, but I'd rather just listen to new albums I've found myself.

Almost always. I listen to NPR, as I don't actually listen to music. I really do enjoy the BBC segments which allows me to be more informed about world issues.

I listen radio only in my car

Alt station here plays the same 1 hour playlist over and over and over. -So that's out.
Rock is polluted by Nickleback-likes and I don't have the energy to be flipping the station every other song. -So that's out.
Classic stations are classic, thus heard 100+ times already, also have buffoon radio hosts chattering. -So that's out.
There's really just NPR out here unless you listen to auto-tuned pop country.

Sometimes when i feel like listen to something out of my playlist I switch on the radio app on my mobile. and it surprises me with some good music at late night :)

The time of television has been here almost as long as the radio, so I don't know why you included it. I mean, it were the 1940s I would ask that question, "Do  you listen to the radio, in the time of television." But to answer your question, since the internet I don't listen much to the radio. I used to, even though my television got more used back then too.

Only on the road and only because it's slightly better than engine noise. Then again, sometimes it isn't  :D
Internet radio is great since I don't have to listen to crappy pop songs all the time.

I listen to radio mostly right after I woke up because it is much faster to turn on radio than my pc. Later when my pc is already running then I listen to spotify or some mp3 albums. Also when in car.

I use to be a huge fan of the Art Bell on Coast to Coast AM but then George Noory took over and I didn't care for his new age left leaning slant on things. I haven't listened in ages now.

Since Spotify I mostly use their Radio service. I prefer that you can skip over a track.

I listened to radio up until I reactivated my Satellite radio and I remembered how much I missed it. I don't think I will be going back.

NPR's pretty solid on Sunday ~midnight-5a. They air BBC.

Then there's some guy who sings the news for something like three hours. :-\

Luckily, we get another station without the news-singing guy. -But they had a bunch of teen girls on saying stuff like "I really feel like we should stop generalizing the sexes." "Yeah, I totally agree, and women are generally better about not attaching stereotypes to things." Then it became "oh my gosh, we totally need to start a revolution - like really escalate it - and we're already starting it right now." :D

I listen in the car. I get incredibly annoyed by the obnoxious commercials, though, and often just switch to a CD or MP3. The local "rock alternative" is especially bad. It seems like every other commercial is for laser hair removal or a strip club. I love NPR, but the local station doesn't have all the shows I like, so I don't listen much anymore.

I'm an album listener. I generally don't care much for listening to a mix of songs, so even if local radio had a station of music that I liked, I still probably wouldn't listen that much.
