Title: Bitcoin prices by 2020?
Post by: phamquangbinh on July 16, 2018, 05:26:48 AM
I am holding 18 Bitcoins and I really hope the Bitcoin price will reach 50,000-100,000 dollars in 2020. What do you think about the price of BTC in 2020?

2 years from now $50,000 - $100,000 would be a normal price for bitcoin but wait until the next halving will commence by that year. You have a good number of bitcoins on hold, how much you bought each of it?

In 2020 after the halving event the price of Bitcoin is expected to rise but I don't think it'll go up to $50,000 right away. The price didn't surge immediately on the last halving it was the year after that and the same thing happened on the first halving. This is just my speculation there's still a possibility for Bitcoin to go $50,000 in 2020 if we see a huge improvement next year.

I believe Bitcoin will reach 20k in July 2020. Then the hype will start. So by the end of the year is totally possible to reach 100k.  But is really hard to make predictions fro 2 years in advance.  I can miss half year forward and backward and that is a year difference.  So is also possible that There will be no chance to see Bitcoin at $50k in 2020.

I appreciate the fact that you are holding but coins but to be honest I think bitcoin's price could be anywhere between 25k USD to 30k USD but more importantly we are longing for some sort of stability which can be achieved.

McAfee's most famous prediction is the $1,000,000 one by December 2020.

https://bircoin.top/

48.7% deviation right now from the expected price. We were %296 ahead of the curve during the $20,000 bubble tho... this is what makes me think his prediction is still not that insane. Until we are -%296 below the curve, his prediction is still safe. There's still a big margin, and many believe the bottom has already been set in, so deviation will go down slowly until the next bull market.

Who knows, maybe he is right and we experience some crazy exponential cycles before 2021.

You lucky son of a gun, I wish I had that many Bitcoin. If I had held my coins instead of spending them I probably would have that much by now  :-\ Keep Hodling strong, great job holding those coins so far!

IMO $50,000 - $100,000 by 2020 is almost a guarantee. Bitcoin's deflationary nature means it will go up in value (exactly like it has been since 2009). The block halving is currently estimated to happen in may 2020, so by the end of 2020 is likely when we would see $50,000+. Something important to remember that many people forget is that Bitcoin is a global phenomenon. I constantly have to remind my friends of this. They always say "imagine if Bitcoin goes mainstream in America". I'm like guys, its global. Imagine if it goes mainstream globally.

It would be infeasible for Bitcoin to not hit $50k. Keep your coins in a safe place, preferably cold storage, and just HODL my friend. In the meantime, keep accumulating those coins  8)

Yes by the end of 2020 I think there can be almost no doubt that Bitcoin will have at least peaked by that time in at least the $50k-$100k range.

It appears Bitcoin will be entering the next long bull market during the second half of this year. My guess is steady growth back to $20k and above in 2019, and 2020 being another boom year with the halving, a maturing production-ready LN, Wall St fully accepting it, and continued user and merchant expansion as confidence returns once Bitcoin pushes past the previous ATH. The next boom will absolutely go well over $50k and could possibly pass $100k and it will most likely take place in 2020.

With the next bitcoin halving, I speculate that the price could be around that range as well, but maybe the top price we are going to get is around $50K, Would like to see it hit $100K but most likely we wouldn't get in the next couple of years. Probably around 2022-2025, we may see it happening. But I wouldn't be surprised a $50K by 2020, I think by now bitcoin will most likely stabilises and everyone knows that the attacks will have no bearing at all at the price so investors will continue to pour their money on the ecosystem.

For real? 18 bitcoins are a good damn amount of bitcoins, it's like you to hold for long term. I'm not sure though how much the bitcoin price by 2020, 2018 is not even finish yet and the price of bitcoin is not good but you still have 2 more years to 2020, maybe the price can hit $50,000. No one knows.

In fact still two year to go tell 2020, therefore i think that it is still very early to say anything about it. Although my own opinion is that bitcoin price will continue increasing even tell 2020, and may be this time bitcoin price will even cross 50000$, because still bitcoin price has too much potential and it will therefore continue increasing for a long long time.

Only will happened if:

- People will buy the hype
- People will buy the speculation of price increase
- Big players, companies and institutions joined the game

Those 3 listed above will drove people into thinking that crypto is not a joke. More people will come not just because of it's price.

Possibility? There is always a chance. Good to dream isn't it? No one knows what will happened so just enjoy the ride. If happened then good, if not, then so be it.

Of course, nobody has a certain answer to this. This is still a new technology, a baby ecosystem, etc - all kinds of unexpected events can occur.

Looking at the timing of Bitcoin bull runs in the past, my guess would be that it will take a few years for the market to get back to the levels it was at in late 2017.

This seems supported by the fundamentals (IMO); transaction fees and transaction volume are the main blockers to broader adoption (c.f. Steam pulling the plug on their Bitcoin support). Both need a solution, whether on-chain (bigger blocks), off-chain (Lightning Network gets broad adoption), or both. That will take time, especially in Bitcoin where new behavior is slow to adopt and easy to become a political question.

So 2020, to me, seems a little too soon for those kinds of prices. I think it's more likely that by 2020 you may have a second chance at the $12 per milliBTC ($12,000 per BTC) range as investors get more confident that they've seen the bottom of the 2017 bubble.

Wow, that's a huge amount for me and I think you will enjoy big profit by 2020 as many financial analyst speculate the price of bitcoin at the very high level. Just keep on holding that coin, if you can see the market right now its moving up and this is the beginning of a bull trend.

Yeah it is right that if you hold your coins you can increase the number of your coins. You will be the richest person of your community if the price reach to $100000 and you sell on that price. it means that your capital will be $1800000 which is very huge money. I suggest you to withdraw some of your money from bitcoin because of the volatility and for regular business.

I have less Bitcoin`s than creator of this topic, but I`m working to have more while price is under $10k. By the situation
we will not be under that mark for much longer.
By the 2020 price will recover, we will see new record that will be close to $50k. It`s not much for price to achieve that
in period of two years. Bitcoin can do much more and will do more in time, but I don`t like to rush things.
New records and new bottoms are waiting for us, I`m holding and that`s my lottery ticket for the 2020!

By 2020 I think the price will be more than $30000. As you mentioned $50 to 100 k is very high in my opinion, while there is just 18 more months to go in 2020. Don't be so dependent with them too much or you'll be dismayed if it didn't happened on those years that they predicted. Have your own price speculation and if you think that's reliable and realistic, stay and hold until that price comes.

What Op has got is good number for long term as well for short term profiting. By 2020 it is expected to take place a large scale adoption causing majority of the world population know about bitcoin and start using it. As this is the expected fact, we're not sure of the reality. Along with that I would suggest to hold it until the next halving which assures an added profit to the one predicted.

Do yourself a favor: stop telling people how many bitcoins you own. Evangelize, discuss the technology and the markets, but don't announce your holdings, ever, to anyone who you don't trust dearly. Even on the internet.

I'll just leave this here (https://cointelegraph.com/news/us-federal-trade-commission-to-offer-free-workshop-on-crypto-scams). ;)

Anyway, I suspect the next bubble will go much higher than most expect. I would expect an order of magnitude higher than $100K, maybe significantly more. It all depends how empty the books get. I think it's a long ways away though.

$100k is just x5 from previous ATH. last cycle we had x16.  That is 3 times more then yours number that you sort of claim is unexpectable by people. if last cycle repeats, then price will be over $300k.

That was the point.....

Most people are throwing out numbers like $25K-$100K. Price would likely go significantly higher based on past bubbles and the general idea of log/exponential growth and blow-off tops.

I think most people set their price expectations too low (selling too early), or they expect bubbles to occur too fast (losing hope and selling before the bubble happens). If you remember 2015, the general sentiment was that the dream was dead and BTC was just destined to be a small niche currency.

After two years the price may not touch its highest place and may touch actually we can not say that what will be its action because the market price of Bitcoin is looking unstable and we can be trapped too. In order to get rid of risk you need to invest always in low market as people has invested in current market which is low and the price has improved today up to 7328k dollar price which is a great achievement.

no one know pal , probably to me there is a ATH on that year but for sure it will not stay for long term again like what happened before and especially right now in the market growth rate, wherein due to some factors that always occur the value always fluctuate and can't even bounced back again to the previous stafge.  if i were you pal mark a target price which at least you can gain enough profits and don't wait for long term because you will become frustrated on if.  But i suggest not too much target price because market movement nowadays is not  trustworthy ,

Nothing definite but considering bitcoin charts; the price is increasing annually, so it is a reference that gets $ 100,000 quickly.
The question is why you want 50,000-100,000 dollars in 2020? Does the loss of 18 Bitcoin affect you? Will your plans be built "after 2020" on 50,000-100,000 dollars earned from Bitcoin?
Answer the questions above give you a more precise concept, and if the answer to the last two questions are No, your investment is true

It is too long prediction so no one is predict the 2020 result. Because nowdays altcoins are increase in day by day so marketcap is not a stable in all the platform so anytime some up and down is possible.
My prediction is 35k USD on end of 2020 this will be accepting value so everyone agree my point.

Predicting for 2020 will be a bit to earlier because the crypto market is uncertain and your predictions can go in the wrong direction no matter how good data you use for the comparative analysis. This is because of the market forces that determine the values of the Bitcoin in the market.

The market invisible hand is a graph and chart changer. Roughly speaking, if the same situations remained in the market, and if we happen to see a boom in December, the value of Bitcoin might be more than $50000 in 2020. This might be an overestimated value.

But speculating about the future is not easy and you just cannot speculate a perfect value for Bitcoin in 2020 right now nor do we have the time machine to travel to 2020. All we can do is to make a rough educated guess and in my opinion, we will have Bitcoin below $50000 in 2020.

This is because if we observe the change in the value that occur overtime, it is not so much and we might have a rise in the value of Bitcoin from $6000 to more than $20000 till the end of the year, calculating and doing the math gives me the idea that it will not be very high though some people over predict that it will cross the $90000 easily till 2020. The market is a very slow moving vehicle.

It is difficult to make a two-year forecast in the crypto market; two years in it are like 20 years in the stock market. Who can tell the price of the Dow Jones in 2038?

Also in 2020 there will be 3 Halving in the history of Bitcoin, and this is always an unknown factor for miner and hashrate, but generally everyone agrees that it should rise.

Maybe in 2020 the price will reach $50,000 or above that, because there are already many investors are invested in bitcoin to become the price will increase, as we notice the price now its already 8,000 dollars, so there's nothing possible with that to reach that. I believe in that prediction, so better to hold and spend more time to wait.

I am holding 18 Bitcoins and I really hope the Bitcoin price will reach 50,000-100,000 dollars in 2020. What do you think about the price of BTC in 2020?

I believe that the price of bitcoins will increase up to $50k dollars because there are a lot of country today that has been legalized in cryptocurrency and crypto analyst as well are expecting for the price to surpass its previous cap.
