Title: It's my berf-day. What coin should I treat myself to?
Post by: SeriousCoins14 on February 16, 2014, 03:50:42 AM
todays my 5,539,259th (forget that number  ;)) Birthday.

As a present to myself I'm going to buy 50 bucks worth of coin. Mining isn't really too viable on my 4 year old computer so I figure I'll give myself a boost.

What coin do you think will turn my $50 into 1 billion USD per dollar spent by the end of my birthday? I will accept the next best thing if that isn't possible.  ;D :P Also, why do you think the coin is a good buy?

There's too many coins, I check the threads daily and I know Darkcoin is a good bet, I already managed to CPU mine that for a few weeks so I'd like to diversify a bit.

also accepting birthday donations in e-hugs and silly pictures.

Mintcoin or Topcoin.  But your $50 will be better spent on IPO/IPCO coins. Read more at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=470360.new#new

hm $50 to billions makes it sound like you're telling me to stay as far away from this coin as humanly possible.

But alas, is there a reason this coin is so special?

edit: My new benjamin wallet left a nice roll of hundreds in my start menu. Beat that. lol

Well you did ask him to turn your 50 into 1 billion so I'm guessing he was continuing the joke.

Hey,

I just looked at the coin and got a wallet.. My address is 1GQauyXiSKQrw5Rdkjg2HenKeTJPyxkYxJ

I'm guessing its too late to actually mine any though? Can't believe I missed that one =\

but if you do send me a gift, I appreciate it very much  8) 8) ;D

It's not too late at all. Difficulty is about to drop big time in about 2 days

Great community, active dev, added on all major exchanges..
Current price is way too low - expect to rise again to 14k satoshi soon :)

Nyancoin, corgicoin, pandacoin (PND one).
Those are coins with great future. Maybe you'd want to check up NUT coin, too. It has a nice interesting feature named the "NutLaw".

CGA is a special coin because of the reward system. The block reward structure is based on dividing the current block number by the current difficulty(or maybe other way around) and if the remainder is between a certain amount and some other amount the block gets a reward of one, otherwise it's zero. Basically when everyone tries to mine it there is no reward, but if only a few are mining you get some CGA. It's the ultimate rare coin. Multipool/asic farm proof. Plus, not a lot of people even know about it so you can still buy in cheap. You can still mine it, but lately it has been going through periods of high difficulty and no rewards so you waste electric.

If I had $50 to speculate on altcoins I'd diversify the investment by spending $25 on 2 different coins.

The first $25 would be spent on something vary newly released to an exchange. Something that could more than double in value within 2 months.

With the second $25 I'd buy a coin with medium/long term reward halving periods. (these coins generally take longer to appreciate in value) Maybe something like Corgi which is fairly new and cheap yet still has room to grow.

Happy birthday and good luck
