Title: Etherscan vs Ethplorer
Post by: MadGamer on July 16, 2018, 11:27:54 AM
I prefer Etherscan.io when it comes to checking my addresses and transactions because of the design but I would to know about the API If someone have used them before.

Which one is better when it comes to the limits and data that it can provide?

Can't tell you on where do they really specialize about limits and data but they looks identical.

Most of the time I'm using etherscan just like you, it's more convenient and about the design I have no complains with it.

I only use ethplorer if there's something wrong with etherscan.

there are some tokens whose price is written in etherscan but not written in ethplorer, like docademic (MTC), cappasity (CAPP) so I prefer to use etherscan rather than ethplorer. ;D

I see that's another feature that etherscan has than ethplorer.

I used to check with etherscan all the time and by the time that it has been down, someone told me that ethplorer is another alternative so that's the first time I used it and knew it that it has been existing.

I also prefer Etherscan it's kinda more convenient in using than Etherscan,  although both of them are awesome,  maybe because I've been using Etherscan right from time that's why I love using it

In case my question wasn't clear enough, I'm asking about the API and not about the service itself because I'm planning to build a tool.

For me I prefer the interface of Ethplorer rather than Etherscan, I always use the ethplorer on checking my wallet.
I only notice a difference between them is sometimes my tokens have value on etherscan but if I check it in ethplorer it does not have any value, one token example is MTC.

Both have different features, I also prefer Etherscan. But also I use ethplorer.
sometimes a token has not appeared in Etherscan yet appears in Ethplorer. Vice versa.
