I think Darkcoin is a good buy right now, it is also a good LONG term hold for the fundamentals investor, i've already replaced 50% of ANONCOINS that i held with DarkCoins.

DarkCoin has all the features AnonCoin has plus so much more, with an active development team they have so many stuff in the works.

AnonCoin development unfortunately is dead.

The price already went up 100% since yesterday when i advise people to buy them.

Its at $0.35 at moment, as there is only 85m coins, CPU/GPU in limited supply and have the killer feature of anonymity I bet 1 BTC that it will be over 1$ by next friday.

Yes it did go up significantly in price, there is no harm profit taking, then rebuying lower (if it does)

however on the long run i'm confident about this coin.

DarkCoin is an amazing coin, there are so many features planned. With the current momentum of development it should be the #1 anonymous coin in the market.

AnonCoin is dead unfortunately (i owned alot of that, but converted most of it to DarkCoin)
ZeroCoin has just disappeared.
StableCoin has ongoing development, but development has been really slow, might be good one day (im still holding mine)

Crypto-currencies aren't forex, options, ETFs... This isn't a "trader's" world.

When you hype a coin, miners flock to it. They mine it and dump it in less than 24h, leading to precisely the opposite effect you're trying to promote! Raising difficulty in no time and sucking the life out of it.

So many people have been waiting for this and each coin promising it has led to disappointment. Well today TIPS succeeded where those others failed. TIPS launched a world-first in wallet option to utilize a mixing service from the client, rendering all payments sent to be anonymous should the user so choose. It is LIVE.

Problem with it is that it relies on a mixing node which means you have to trust that the node is not doing anything funny. On top of that it charges 2% just to use the service.

i dont see any advantage it has right now over anoncoin. in fact if anything you should rather buy anc, since its cheap right now.
however ill give the op that it rose to 1$. makes it the opposite of a long term hold for now, since after its done pumping its gonna have a drop for sure.

you should not be tricked by bloomy statements like "DarkCoin has all the features AnonCoin has plus so much more", which says absolutely nothing. it actually should make you very cautious.

Sorry anoncoin is nothing like darkcoin, you need to use darknet to darknet transfers to make anonymous transactions. That's a major hassle.

 Darkcoin will be as easy as any other transactions with no absurd fees.

Darkcoin currently makes no sense.

the 2 main things that set it apart from other coins are not yet implemented:

Encrypted transaction network: Work In Progress
Anonymous blockchain using coinjoin technology: Pre-Alpha


Zerocoin will be released soon and it has all of these things taken care of .
and apparently can make any coin transaction anonymous through an integrated layer

I think we need variety in the cryptocoin space. Two anonymous currencies are better than one and much better than zero.

DarkSend is in a working state on testnet, so we're making good progress. I wouldn't call that non-existant. Also, Zerocoin uses exotic mathematics that could have some unforeseen hole in them and DarkSend uses a completely different implementation that is pretty straight forward and relies on tried and true mathematics. So again, 2 is better than 1.

Zerocoin's proof of work is in the 2 kilobyte range if I remember correctly, per transaction. That's alot better than it was for their first proof, but it will still cause alot of bloat in the blockchain. Darksend's method of anonymity on the other hand doesn't have very much bloat at all. 

Don't get me wrong, Zerocoin is very cool, but obviously I think Darkcoin has it's place.
