As we had seen last year, the price of bitcoin went exceptionally up in a very less period of time. Many sold at high, many bought at high. There are people who are holding since they bought at high like $17k including me who bought at lesser yet enough high at $13k. Can we expect a similar or better high this year ?

I wouldn't get my hopes up for a huge rise this year like reaching the previous ATH at $20k or prices higher than that, it may not happen. but it is possible to start a bull run this year. basically because price has reached the bottom and there is no more down left to go. so the reversal is inevitable but to have a huge rise the market needs more time to properly change course from the bear market to a bull market.

Everything is possible. The price of bitcoin rose many times, and then it went down, and it took time "more than one year" to get back like that.
Current indicators do not indicate the possibility of a return to the levels of $ 20,000 during this year, but it is still too early to say that.
More good news and the price will go up wildly and quickly.
Lightning network and other things make it easy to predict that the price will rise to over $ 10,000 soon.

I don't think there will be another bull market this year.
This is the first point because the entire market is currently undercapitalized.
Second, fewer people are entering the encrypted money market. >:(

we just need to think positive nd we just need to trust the bitcoin to have a bull run, you know that nothing in this is impossible. when the bull run happened we didn't expect it that it would be happen. so I m ure that it would be happen again. in the time that we can't expect be ready always.

In cryptocurrency is very difficult to determine the price where but we can only predict it, so everything in cryptocurrency can happen sometimes bitcoin prices can rise higher than our prediction can even fall from the price of our prediction.

Last year was a good year, the price  gets higher. This year I am hopeful that it will be the same or higher. I will just hold still for my coins and we will see in the next few months.

I think nothing is impossible. Bitcoin has shown a great improvement recently, let's just hope that a potential bull is on its way!

Ofcourse! We have to hope for and wait patiently for bitcoin to bull run. Bitcoin will definitely bull run again. Let us wait for bitcoin season to approach and we shall all be smiling. As crypto hunters, we should try as much as possible to advocate positively about bitcoin so that people outside crypto will enter the business and invest more into bitcoin. This will also help bitcoin bull run.

I wouldn’t mind to see an altcoin bull run first. That’s a big issue that all cryptos are so closely connected, that makes it close to impossible to level out the drops.
I see my bitcoins as a long term invest and hope for some altcoins to be the shooting stars.

Bitcoin usually goes up in price near the end of the year and goes down or plateaus during the summer so I guess we will see another bull run in November - December perhaps? It's not a sure thing per se, but that's how the market behaves - in a cycle basically. I don't think we will get a new ATH until next Bitcoin halving due in 2020. If Bitcoin goes back to $10k by Christmas it will be a small win in my honest opinion. However I think the Bitcoin craze that propelled the value to $20k last winter is gone now and crypto investors are more conservative with their money.

The rise of bitcoin every end of the year isn't like the last 2017. That was one of the best all time high though, this time might not that huge it could still be less than $10K by the end of the year which I guess those who bought at $17k like OP would have to wait longer than a year. No one knows whether it will happen again but hold on if you want to profit.  Unless like blackrock and all others will also be joining the crypto craze.

No one has a crystal ball to tell on what will be the future that can happen for bitcoin. But let's all be optimistic, not because you invested at high's but because you invested for solely believing that there's a future that lies ahead for bitcoin. This great digital currency will dominate the market and will gain its market cap after the devastated months that we've passed. This is a speculative market and its price was also having a part of those words. If you'll read different speculations, most of them are bullish and tells that it can go more than that. Don't be disappointed if it won't happen for this year, just focus to the fact that you love the tech.

on a prediction count, the market will return to bull runs in the fourth quarter of this season, meaning between the months of October-December. we just wait, and we can to believe it.

Bull run is possible but the will market recover so it may take some time for bull run to be effective.

The down fall of a man they say is not the end of His life,likewise the dawn fall of the bull is not the end of His life, this is not the first time the bull fell down and did rise neither will it be last, i am expecting a quantum lift towards the end of the year but definitely not as much as $20k.

I still think it is possible for Bitcoin to break the price of 20k, but I doubt this will happen in this year. Market has not been unstable from the beginning and there has been a lot of FUD coming out everyday. I think the price of Bitcoin will not go down further as it has already touched the lowest. It should go up from August onwards, I expect short term Bull run to happen with market correction till November. After November it should spike up, if a positive decision is reached at the G20 Summit. Hopefully next year will be good for Cryptos

This is Cryptocurrency and anything is possible.I believe there is going to be bullish run coming this year but I can't really say exactly when it will be. I am holding my position in my respective investment and am not panic selling because every coin has its time and whatever goes down must come up. This is my mantra.

After 10th augest, all investor see bull run

Lets say a new wave of newbies enter the market like last year, I'm sure we might see another ATH for Bitcoin. The ones that got burned won't likely come back or maybe they will after proper research and this time with a strategy.

Just hold is the secret of crypto, never sell in lost and try to and more if you have more money at this bottom so that you can get more profit, but bull run might not happen this year as you expecting to my own understanding but it will definitely come , JUST HOLD.

othing is impossible in this world, including the extraordinary rise of Bitcoin in this year. but it can all happen if Bitcoin demand in the market increases. Bitcoin is a digital currency whose price is determined by its scarcity, so if we expect a rise like last year, Bitcoin needs a lot of new investors, and I see Bitcoin is currently improving services such as low-priced and short-term transaction processing.

Expect the best is nothing at all) The market can not be predicted, and the people who do it, especially publicly, are charlatans and swindlers who parasitize on predictions that members of the community want to hear and are willing to listen to for days, put on huskies and subscribe to channels than bring the creator of a good profit

 no one can give you an answer. If you want to be listening to speculations to make you feel better, than it seems you have nothing better to do man. Just be reasonable....

I think the answer to this question is not as simple as the question may look. No one can say for sure whether the bull run will happen again this year. We are all hoping to see it though. Let's just keep our fingers crossed

Everyone's prediction on the price is biased, there is no precedent to make an accurate estimate with crypto being so new to so many people still.

It was so over-valued at the end of last year, waiting for it to go up again might take a bit more than a year. Only people who want easy money and quick gains will be burned in these situations though, so it's fine.

Actually no one know mate when it will happen especially nowadays because there are some causes that can manipulate the growth rate without any sign. which is the reason as well why the market is very unpredictable and stagnant, and sometimes after small increase it always fluctuate back to the resistance, and in my opinion perhaps there's a possibility it will happen again on this circumstance because it stuck again after the mini bull.

Today, Bitcoin prices rose after the World Cup ended. I think the cow is starting in the next few days. Hopefully, my predictions are correct, and the price will increase up to $ 27,000 this year

Why not 270,000? ;D ;D ;D 10 August CBOE can start Bitcoin ETF's, but...I do not think that this will approve by SEC, but now the market is just once again pumped up and we are waiting for another fall to the bottom after 10th

I also believe that Bitcoin's price will rise to $ 10,000 in September if the ETF succeeds. I think people will support Bitcoin and new investors will also be closer to Bitcoin. Surely the price will rebound to $ 20,000 in the next few years

People tend to call every rise bull run, I don't like that. I wouldn't give them so much credits, entire world is into bitcoins and crypto and all of us move the price up and down with our trades.
Price will rise again, I already talked about it, next wave will be from institutions and huge corporations, when they start to buy crypto price will go much higher then ever before. You can call it bull run, you can call it how ever you wish, but when adoption is rising, demand is going up, that leads to price rise.
I believe that will happen before next halving, this or next year is impossible to say, but it will happen I am very optimistic about it.

It is difficult to say exactly when the cow will run again, but we have had a lot of good news as the market's price has been rising for several days. Bitcoin prices will break $ 6900 today, and possibly Bitcoin will rise to more than $ 7,000 tomorrow.

I do not think the price of Bitcoin and the crypto market will be higher than last year. There were a lot of people retreating from the market after they lost money and lost a lot of capital in March 2018. So Bitcoin prices this year will be just $ 10,000

The market for cryptocurrency in 2018 is not the same as in previous years. It may be because there are so many coins created every day so many people have sold Bitcoin to invest in new coins.

..i am hoping for the huge price for this year,,maybe for the end of the year..but no can tell weather bitcoin will rise again as what we don't expect last year..but i am still hoping for its peak before the year end..although bitcoin suffer from a dumb value now,,it will going to rise again,,just believe in the power of it..For Bitcoin gives a lot of experience for everyone who will engage on the use of it..

Everyone is expecting an ETF in August. If the ETF is accepted, then I think we will not be able to predict prices Bitcoin at the end of 2018 will increase how much. It would be $ 30,000 with what experts have predicted

i do have a opposite opinion with you, look now volume are increasing and there is a news about etf cryptocurrency by sec, i believe if its true there will be another bull run happening in next month, but i dont think etf would be approved next month, i just doubt sec would keep giving good favor into crypto. But SEC do let coinbase list coins that consider as security so there is still hope that sec would make crypto as etf.

I think we should wait a little bit as many events that will cause bull run are still in the front.  The recent prices' corrections is a sign that we are about to see short bullish trend and if ETF is approve by the sec in August then we will really see a nice bullish trend that may last tell the end of this year.
