How can we help nature through ICO?

An initial coin offering (ICO) or initial currency offering, a type of crowdfunding using cryptocurrencies, is a means of raising capital that has been prone to scams and securities law violations. Fewer than half of all ICOs survive four months after the offering.

An ICO can be a source of capital for startup companies. In an ICO, a quantity of the crowdfunded cryptocurrency is sold to investors in the form of "tokens", in exchange for legal tender or other cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin or ethereum. These tokens are promoted as future functional units of currency if or when the ICO's funding goal is met and the project launches.

ICOs provide a means by which startups avoid costs of regulatory compliance and intermediaries, such as venture capitalists, bank, and stock exchanges, while increasing risk for investors. ICOs may fall outside existing regulations depending on the nature of the project or are banned altogether in some jurisdictions, such as China and South Korea.

Almost half of ICOs sold in 2017 failed by February 2018.

An unregulated means by which funds are raised for a new cryptocurrency venture. An Initial Coin Offering (ICO) is used by startups to bypass the rigorous and regulated capital-raising process required by venture capitalists or banks. In an ICO campaign, a percentage of the cryptocurrency is sold to early backers of the project in exchange for legal tender or other cryptocurrencies, but usually for Bitcoin.

When a cryptocurrency startup firm wants to raise money through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO), it usually creates a plan on a whitepaper which states what the project is about, what need(s) the project will fulfill upon completion, how much money is needed to undertake the venture, how much of the virtual tokens the pioneers of the project will keep for themselves, what type of money is accepted, and how long the ICO campaign will run for. During the ICO campaign, enthusiasts and supporters of the firm’s initiative buy some of the distributed cryptocoins with fiat or virtual currency. These coins are referred to as tokens and are similar to shares of a company sold to investors in an Initial Public Offering(IPO) transaction. If the money raised does not meet the minimum funds required by the firm, the money is returned to the backers and the ICO is deemed to be unsuccessful. If the funds requirements are met within the specified time-frame, the money raised is used to either initiate the new scheme or to complete it.

Nice question. I think so many projects can be taken to save environment.  Projects like solar power or forestration can help environment a lot.

The coins are under the name SET, and made from eco-friendly products. On top of that removing the need to waste paper prints for money.

There are lot of projects in solar. But I am yet to see projects in other environmental fields. The big problem is adaptability of blockchain in such projects. If someone can dedicate himself to the cause, it will be great

There have been quite a few ICOs in this area like powerledger (probably the most known) and slme recent ones like restart energy. They did pretty well but as most other alts they are currently under price pressure.

If I was you, look into them instead of a new ICO.

Though the question was not clear to me but If I am not wrong you may be wanted to know how we can help our nature by ICO. If it is, my answer is building some projects that don't violate our nature.

To protect the environment, we must reduce the carbon emission first. Which is also the ICO. In the case cryptocurrency are saving the environment, carefully. Crypto tries to give something to the world it’s not only profit.

There are some good ICOs who are working for good cause. I think SET is one of the best among them. It is also called set4earth. It is a really great ICO and they work for the community. You can visit their website to learn more.

I think ICO already take good initiative to protect environment. From the article I know its already take step to save environment which name is save environment token. Its a upcoming crypto currency which are save the environment by reducing carbon footprint.  So it’s a very good initiative for me.

A token has invented named Save Environment token which is eco-friendly, created for saving the environment. They are also dealing with eco-friendly product. I really like the idea of this project.

There have been a few icos that were aimed at preserving nature or try to bring green concept into polluted era of today, i recall one of them was ecobit but after listing it did not gave the expected performance although the team still think that their project os doing well, another project i have seen recently is called zsro carbon and they also want to reduce carbon output and improve environment.

Actually this is a matter of fact that we should think about this also SET come with this idea they invented coins which are related to environment also they will give discounts or facilities to their customers who invested here to encourage them.

There are many ICO projects which are both eco friendly and helps the environment. One of them is 4NEW project that converts waste into energy by Gasification. In this way waste can be reused and would help the environment also. Hydominer, Envion etc also some eco friendly ICO projects in the market.

Lastly I'm looking forward for SET because of it's potential. And now for SET is the one good amount of all.. try that one. I guess you will satisfie on that one.

That would be cool. But I have not yet met any project that could help in this matter. Perhaps this is because the final return will be minimal and therefore no one is taken for it

We can create an ICO that will greatly help nature, for example the cleaning of the world ocean. Thanks to ICO, it is possible to create enough funds, but for some reason no one is working on it

there are many projects that are created to maintain the surrounding nature! so when we choose bounty you need to carefully choose the company.

I find investing in environmental protection very difficult to make profit so the ICO will not be interested in this topic.

Well, for one, you can raise fund for tree planting activities on a massive scale, and probably some cleaning or innovative technology for environmental cleanliness or a project which is something like that?

there are many ico that involve nature or lift nature as its products. although the white paper explains in detail and looks good. but in fact none of them really succeeded or really contributed to the concept. there are many try to see and learn.

There are many ICO's that are nature friendly and some ICO's have solve problems in the area of renewable energy, weather forecasting and a lot more and there are some ICO project which have made part of allocation for the nature

I have seen such project before like zero carbon, they are environment based project, but i want to know why you suggested we should choose such a project? Please highlight your reasons
