Don't hear about these kind of predictions these are just opinion of the single person so it doesn't make any change in the market condition.Yes I am also think the bitcoin will hit $40000 or more but that soon is equal to how long nobody can answer that.
And also please remove $20000 from your mind which happened in bitcoin because of hype so which is not the maximim price and also the price not supposed to be in 2017 but it happened because of many factors.Just concentrate on the current price which is about $7450 at the moment.

Same here. Anything above the record high $20,000 is good enough for me. This guy Marc Lasry makes sense. Faster processing of transactions will entice more investors. More investors, more transactions, high value turnover gets positive results.

I don't think that bitcoin would hit $40k so soon, although, it has been getting popular rapidly, but it would take a long time. May be a year or two to get there.

Oh God please! I just want bitcoin to get stabilised at some point and have stable prices like those of USD's and Euro's. This is not the game of rise and fall really, people should really change their mentality about the crypto currency. I guess, hoping for the $40,000 is not bad thing but its vague and it can never help bitcoins economy to grow perfectly. It can only destruct due to the pump and dumps and thus it will never be great shot for it to enter into the regulatory system or so called real world. Thats the thing, lets just hope it will be rising but more than that it should be stable at some point.

Nothing is satisfactory to man. You are anticipating for 20k usd but if it is capable of exceeding 20k to 40k usd as stated, you will be wanting to get more. As for me, i only need a double digit thousand for bitcoin. so whether 20 or 40k I am in for good. But if it is possible for 40k, then well, I am in for that.

I think it will definitely be possible, bitcoin managed to get at that 20k level without the general public getting into it.

This is actually the wishes of one person. However, as for bitcoin, everything is possible here. Although, after such a dull stagnation of the crypto-currency market, even taking into account the price spike that was the other day, raising its price to $ 40,000 still seems impossible. The most realistic increase by the end of this year is about 20 000 - 25 000 dollars.

God-- do these 'experts' always come around trying to spur the market into a bull-run? Because I highly doubt these 'experts' even know what they're talking about. They're just trying to convince people to throw their live savings into something which is insanely risky and impractical. No doubt that every thing is possible here in bitcoin market, no doubt that in next few months we can see the bitcoin price trading above 40000$, which the investors were already expected, but unfortunate some bad news turned the situation. I think that bitcoin price will very soon reach to that price and will surely give us a very good profit.

i said it that the price of bitcoin cannot be laid to the ground as people earlier thought because it always has that trend of going up and down in prices but not to be mistaken for crash as the price of bitcoin will always go higher as he day goes.

I don't think the link is leading to the right topic anyways i have learned many articles regarding the Bitcoin prediction for the upcoming months and i personally have also written answers on this topic many times on this forum also and again add that Yes, it will cross the 40k price level. But when will it cross and how long will it sustain above that 40 price level only time and market will tell us. But be positive here and hope for 40 to be reached by this 2018 year end.

Really?? Sometimes i really don't know whether to believe these cyrpto analysts and experts and some of their comments. Bitcoin to hit $40,000 is a wild guess which i think would happen not anytime from now though i am not doubting it fully but i believe bitcoin can go as far as only $2500 because when people start using bitcoin as a mode of transaction on many platforms and online trading markets,  trust me bitcoin will not rise that high.

If you need only $20,000 then you have to wait until it goes back to $20,000.

No that will not happen very soon. It will take time. Though day by day traders will increase in Numbers. But That can't make bitcoin to 40K USD. 40K is too far from now, and yes, it does not matter anymore. We have seen bitcoin can increase the price within a few minutes to the hour. This is just an opinion of a single man but he may be right as trading cryptos is becoming more and more accesible for everyone so this factors can push bitcoin to a 30k-40k$ but definetly it will not happen this year. This a good news i'm positively agree with that amount hit by bitcoin but i'm also contented 20,000$ hit bitcoin before end of this year because on the that amount reach of bitcoin i can get huge profits.

The important things to be done is we need to produce a lot of positives information in regards of bitcoin and blockchain to support the price of bitcoin. I thinks the greatest factor that do the most impact in bitcoin price is the negative information, spam and hacks on the bitcoin/crypto realm. So we need to those good information with the proper analysis information to gain the bitcoin trust from the people.

That woud be great but how about other crypto? Is it possible that they will going to have a good market price increase too? The market is quite bleak so I think in 2018 the price of bitcoin will not be able to reach the price as above. To be able to reach this price it needs more time in 2019.

Wow 40 000, that prediction was a good news to all just think positive that it will happen, not now but someday. Bitcoin will continue to rise and many users of it will benefits. But when did it will going to happen, i will wait for that, waiting is the only thing we can do now because bitcoin is unpredictable.

A lot of speculation and I guess these people doing the speculation have one target in mind which is to entice new money into the market. Price determination is by the amount of demand for that particular product. So I guess the more good price predictions,the more new investors are attracted and of course the higher the price will be.

Price could reach $40000 or even high, but for the same we cannot have a targeted time period. With bitcoin at times of price pumping most of the time price shows high volatility. There is big possibility that it will happen because exchanges are being regulated recently like Coinbase and people who want to to buy BTC or any Cryptocurrency can do so if they buy it on a trusted and legit exchanges without any trouble of being sue by the government.

Maybe one of the reason for bitcoin to hit 40,000$ because those people who are not really techie can easily have confidence of themselves on how to use bitcoin because it is already easy to trade it into other cryptos and convert it into dollars.

The source of the news is not really factual, but from speculations and assumptions, bitcoin can really reach greater heights just as the later months of 2017. We are almost in the last quarter of the year, so most crypto enthusiasts are anticipating a rise in the price of bitcoin.

It's highly possible that we will see a new all time high again. However to get up there we need too see a lot of sell orders been filled up or removed. And that will take some time.

It can hit $40,000 but I hope it doesn't go that high because if we hit a new ATH you already know what's going to happen next after that. For me the highest price I can expect out of Bitcoin is $10,000 because I don't think that those people who bought at a loss (above $10k) would still invest.

My expectation had greatly been high this year but after we got to the 2nd part of the year with the presence price I dont expect bitcoin to hit anything above again.

But the picture of the market was different. There's no government on our throat and waging war against bitcoin and conspiracy and waves after waves of positive news specially when financial institutions enter in December. But it was pretty obvious that the run we have is artificial, hence the price dramatically falls to $6K-$7K.

So we have to wait and see if bitcoin can recover again this year, but as far as $40K, I don't think that its possible, it could mean cash should pour on the market but I don't see it happening because for me the bears can total control of the market eventhough the price seems to go upwards in the last 2 weeks.

Well, trading becoming easier can have some effects on bitcoin but I don't think the price of bitcoin will be affected that much. It is quite impossible for the price of bitcoin to reach $40,000. The price will go high but I don't think to that value.

  $40,000 is not impossible for bitcoin to reach before end of this year. That will happen if a lot of investors come in crypto market to invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin also has a limited supply that makes it's value increasing as the demand also increasing.

Trading is easier already, you can buy bitcoin or selling bitcoin quite easily. It is the spending that needs to get easier. For example there are places where you can buy laptops and so forth other pc parts, there is expedia where you can actually buy your hotel reservation (which I actually did, not the best decision I made, but still the btc I paid worths less now so maybe lucky me?) and so forth needs to be more, you need to have a lot more places to spend on your btc compared to easier way of trading.

I think even if it's just a prediction that only works one person. But he is loading news to support Bitcoin's price increase. They want to make changes to keep the price up to $ 40,000. I agree they are making news that continues to support Bitcoin.

I don't think that 13% of the entire world's population has a demand for Bitcoin. That number seems far too high, that's nearly 1 Billion people. Im pretty sure the number is closer to 2% of the worlds population. A lot of people get that 13% number by looking at the number of unique BTC addresses used and extrapolating from that, but this is not a good way to determine the number of users. Multiple new addresses can be generated and used by one person, so its a little blown out of proportion. There is still plenty of room for growth for Bitcoin. If 13% of the worlds population had demand for Bitcoin that the price would definitely be close to $100k.

Bitcoin can rise to any price as long as the investors remain invested. If the markets sentiment is negative then bitcoin will stay range bound. This info is just based in few investors opinion. Bitcoin hitting $40000 could happen as more and more marketplace has begun accepting cryptocurrency. Whether the price increases or decreases doesn't find it a big thing with trading. With trading always the difficulty gets associated with it, but the profit gets added when there is a bigger difference between the buying and the selling due to price pumping.

If that happens with bitcoin price to reach that very high value, I guess that would make digital currency much worthy to invest with. The entire trading activities will circulate on it's actual trading volumes, which could provide every trader a good income coming from day trades. Everything will be more interesting to more people who has desires of becoming successful with bitcoin. For now just wait for further surprises to come and we'll see how bitcoin will rise until $40k.
