The name ownership is controlled by smart contracts on a blockchain which cannot be changed by any government or centralized organization.
Actual ownership is just one of the many features that make DwNS different from the traditional DNS system. Some other examples are censorship resistance, decentralized control, flexible naming, global identification, upgradability, and streamlined user experience.
