What's with blockchain.info network hashrate at 912175.06 GH/s?

My prediction is that they broke things when they made modifications in order to give the babies at MtGox something they could use for a unique txid.

P2P is not failing. What is failing are these attempts to centralize, consolidate and control it. All grassroots organizations end up being taken over by the Joseph Stalins of the world.
