A few reasons:

+ New algo, CPU mined, no premine, no nonsense.
+ Few people reported some quirks, but overall reception was pretty good.
+ No pre-ann means that the usual CPU farms and botnets were not prepared for the launch, giving normal people (at least those that were paying close attention to new launches) a chance to mine on low diff.
+ Right now the diff is skyrocketing at a rate of 4x per step up, so it's getting harder and harder to mine, more the reason to believe it will get traded.
+ Almost zero marketing means that adoption was as "grass roots" as it gets.

I believe the INK community deserves a chance.

Hope we can see PKR coin soon  ;D

I think it is another dogcoin in disguise. When people refer to the coin, to say PENGS sounds well. I also asked a few people not familiar with crypto

currencies what they would prefer to be paid in, dogecoin, litecoin or penguincoin and every one of them chose the penguin. It is probably the least

threatening, cute animal there is and so they chose it. I think people would choose penguin over most if not all of the coins if they only had its name to

go off and that is why I am sure of its success...

Anyway, I hope you will give me and others who deal in PENGUINCOIN another platform to trade on...

The trade engine developed is not performing properly so even after all the tests we are not satisfied with the results and need more time to work on it. So unfortuantely trading won't be live unit this is resolved which can take up to a week. Your welcome to register on our site.

The distribution has been completed for a while now.. (Last week?) IIRC it lasted 4 days. (see, address counter is 49750/49750)

And even if i might understand the "reasons" for your "secrecy" i still believe you're approaching this the wrong way.

People can be so ignorant especially some in crypto. If a company has a certain policy and they don't want to share some information regarding their company's upcoming features you are in no position to demand they share it with you, especially when you are not a customer and you have nothing invested. Its like asking apple to share all info for the upcoming iPhone 6.

I wouldn't bother with people who couldn't dump their shitcoins!
