How reliable are these unit? How long have you run them without problem?

And how long is the factory warranty?

i was run about 3 days. 9 unit can run to 3m scrypt mining and 60g sha256 mining and stable.
A tips you need to reboot the miner as least one time per day when u dual mining
All Gridseed comes with one month factory warranty.

ps. i just received the new version for few days, but for the beta version it runs stable with the restarter throughout the month

What is rate if only scrypt mining? And there is no need to reboot when not dual mining?

scrypt mining part is the gimmick.
Compare with display card.U need  about 180w-200w to create 300k hash rate
but now.Just 7w have 300k hash rate u save 90%up electricity.

Right, so they're a gimmick then.

Any profit from dual mining will be quickly swallowed up by your electricity bill.

A good idea in theory, but loss making in practice. I'll pass.

I'm interested in a set or two as well, but I have a few questions.

1) Will you be shipping immediately after we place the order? Or does it have some sort of extended wait?

you have a restart relay? it is connected to the wiibox and supply power to the usb hubs, so if hash drops it will hard reset the hubs and bring all the things back to normal.

Also, so that people aren't misled, an R9-270 will hash at 450-490kh and use 150 watts. They also cost $200.

I would like to see visual evidence of an R9-270(HD7850) hashing at 450-490, I have an R9-270X(HD 7870) which is running $250+ txs + shipping at the moment, and I am getting 430-450Kh/s(not to mention my 270x is based of a GHz edition and is OC'd to the max) Also my card is burning 200 Watts of power to do this not to mention the extra 8Gh/s of Sha256 you would get with the dual miner. Knowledge is power and you Sir are weakling!

Are you talking to me? Because I have verified all of my claims with actual amp measurement. 270x cards do not use 200 watts, closer to 180w. 270 cards use less, avg 150w, and if you can't get either to hash at 450 + you need to change your settings.

I connected up one last night as i got in at 2am and it was mining happily away in cpuminer in single mining mode (approx. 330kh/s). Will connect all of these up using wii box on Saturday Smiley

Hi guys,

here some feedback from me about the miners and the seller.

I was the first who ordered and probably received a batch of 10 miners. The order process was quick and without any problems, shipment arrived within 6 days (incl. a weekend) after payment.
The set-up was easy and the additional package with cables and power supply is a plus for first time users, but probably not needed anymore after you figured out yourself how to get all necessary parts cheaper.

The miners however are a different story. Although they have a nice packaging, their build quality is sub standard. So far 3 out of my 10 miners have died (not recognized at USB port any more) and the seller Batman0316 is reluctant to answer my messages getting the machines replaced on warranty. I guess as soon as he had my money he was done with the deal, so that means no followup business AND for sure a warning here in the forum!

So my advice would be to double check, if the miners are mounted together correctly (some chips where not actually touching the transfer heat mat (don't know the correct English term for this, sorry) which transfers heat to the heat sink. It looks like the power cable of the fan is actually too thick to enable a good heat transfer/contact.

UPDATE: I'm in contact with the seller now, they have been to busy to answer last week.
They will replace my dead miners as soon I send them back. I'm thinking of posting the tracking number here. So we can see how speed the replacement is going to be!
Surely transparency is key now, so the seller earn their trust back from the community!

Received a starter unit this afternoon.  Shipping was fast.  The package was well pack and protected.

I opened up the miner to ensure the thermal pad is flushed to the chips, and it seems ok.

I'll give it another week and then a bad trustlevel is going to be issued ... Too bad really .. there is no honesty in coin business, scammers and low life everywhere.

3rd and final update ... I received my two placement miners on Saturday. They have been well packed and are working ... The whole process took too long for my taste.
Nevertheless the seller was a honest skin and replaced the dead miners.
