Hi. I have 2000 usd for investment. It's not enought for BTC or ETH, my target is some Alt with cheap price.
Can you suggest me some alt coin ?
Better if can format like this one :
1. Name of coin : 500usd
2. Name of coin : 300 usd
3. Name of coin : 1200 usd.

With or without reason to buy is ok.

when you went to buy bitcoin did anybody force you to buy 10000BTC?!!!
of course not, you can buy ~0.266BTC with that amount and in a couple of years when price is a lot higher than this your $2000 can only buy 0.02BTC for you. and since bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency with real long term potential that is my suggestion anyways if you want to do it long term (1-2 years).

investing long term in altcoins that only get pumped and dumped in short term is not a wise decision in my experience.

Why did you think that you don't have enough money to invest in ETH or BTC? You no need to buy 1 BTC or 1 ETH, you can buy how much as you want. With $2k you can buy 1 ETH worth about $470 at the moment then you can spend $1530 left to invest in other alts like XRP, XLM or ADA. :)

Do some research on your own and ask among the coins you find suitable. I would suggest go all in on BTC if you're a safe trader, in 2 years you'll get 2-3x returns for sure. If you want 10-15x returns than you need to take more risk and choose among the projects you like. For 10-15x returns I'll suggest following coins:
1. BTC - 600 USD
2. ETH - 400 USD
3. POLY - 400 USD (possible 10x return in 2 year time frame)
4. PRIV - 300 USD (new anonymous coin and latest among the others, they're not doing any ICO, airdropping 11M out of 21M to community, possible 10x return in 2 year, check them out - https://privcy.io)
5. GVT - 300 USD

go to one of these portfolio manager websites that has price history of altcoins then do the following:

choose 1 or 2 years ago as your start (start at 2017 or 2016) then
1. go all in bitcoin with your $2000
2. choose multiple altcoins and go in those with your $2000

now compare your results. i'll tell you what bitcoin investment result could have been: if you had invested $2000 in bitcoin in 2016, now you could have had $44000 with current price not the ATH. can you claim the same with bag holding altcoins for 2 years?

invest in Altcoins is a good choice to get more bitcoin,,
why ? because if we can choose a good altcoins we can increase our bitcoin amount too,
i think ethereum is really good choice, maybe about 1K USD from your capital,,
and 500 USD going to waves another 500USD going to EOS

in my opinion you are sharing the budget on the first 3 types of coins eg btc, then eth and last altcoin, you are free to choose altcoin which you think has a high potential to rise, my $ 2000 is not the least so you can try it on btc as well.

All i can say about that you should invest %70 of money to BTC and %30 for alts of your capital.
Only investing for alts always take risks with you. Good luck.

in the long term, the role of bitcoin will be weakened, but in the next 2-3 years this will not happen. likely :)

That's two people in this thread now that have suggested buying EOS. I'm always curious when I see people like this - do you genuinely not know that EOS is a completely centralised scam, or do you just want other people to buy so you can offload your bags of trash?

I would distribute this money as follows:
1. ADA
2. ZIL
3. ZRX
I think that this is one of the most promising coins for 1-2 years. All three coins have not yet fully revealed their potential. It seems to me the minimum that you can expect from them is x10, but I'm sure that they will give a lot more.

500$ for Bitcoin
300$ for Ethereum
1200$ for Waves. Im really appreciate this platform because of great functionality and low price! It has a huge potencial for growth.

i am not telling you to buy bitcoin. i am just saying you should do your own research. make sure to do the calculations i told you about above. here is a good tool you can use to verify what i mentioned.

then do it for short term for example choose bitcoin versus some altcoin that was getting pumped in a certain week. in that week that altcoin is a lot more profitable than bitcoin.
the problem with your question is this in my opinion, you want to long term invest in something that is not good for long term.

My favourite coin is axpire. They have in advisers Rodger Ver. And the price for it isn't so big. I hold a big amount of axp. Their token is unique, It solves many problems. I think it will give me hundreds per cent. But if you want to name 5 coins, Ok!

Well I will always have my stakes on BTC and ETH. You might be thinking that these amounts are very less for the BTC and ETH but they are not really. They are still good because for every % rise your investment goes up in similar way. But for you special request I would suggest few coins from my portfolio as below.

1. IOST : 500usd : Internet of Service Token is great concept and already in talks with big investors. This is one of the great community and active almost all the time if you communicate with the team. Good investment.
2. REMME : 300 usd : Is associated with the safeguarding of exchangers and complex infrastructure. They have big concept of one touch sign on with no password resurgent and complex methods. Its another great project to invest in.
3. MOZO : 1200 usd. It is associated with the rewarding system for the store owners and customers when they shop. The unique thing about this token is, its committed to 38,000 stores worldwide and thus its success is guaranteed.

It's not necessary to buy 1 Bitcoin, you can buy a part. In my opinion, no altcoin deserves long-term investment, it's better to invest in BTC or at least Ethereum.

Why its not enough for bitcoin? Do you see the market is going down for alts while bitcoin isn't?
But if you insist for altcoins heres my suggestion.
1. Monero - $1000
2. Litecoin - $1000

If we are talking exclusively about $2000 and the proportion of investment in three coins is unchanged then I would invest so:
1. Fantom (while not on the exchanges, it is worth buying if the price is not sky-high) : 500usd
2. PundiX : 300 usd
3. EOS : 1200 usd.

Any cheap alts is a lottery and risk. I don't think that you can find 3 really good projects, which are strongly undervalued. I can recommend to try to find just one project. This is also not easy.

this is for long times so i just buy and hold.

If I choose only three coins per cent, I would prefer eos, Etherium and Binance coin BNB. Each coin has many advantages and they should grow in value

No matter if Bitcoin price can rise to $20k but you still can invest in BTC with $2k only if you want :). You can buy less than 1 BTC if you want then hold for long term :). But if you still don't wanna invest in ETH or BTC so I think you should split your capital to invest in good other altcoins like XRP, NEO or EOS.

I would suggest you two tokens with real products, real projects, and they are working hard to develop it:
1. Storm token: right now its price is 0.02$, they are going to release IOS version for their application.
2. INS token: 0.56 $ per token now, they are going to release their blockchain, platform in Q4 2018. This is a promising project.

Here is my suggestion
1. BNB : 400 usd => they burn 32 million BNB

Yeah it is much enough money for investment in crypto trading because it is little risky work so it can be a good income.

Why are you saying that you don't have enough funds to invest in btc or ETH as $2k is preety good amount to invest.You can allot $1000 to btc and ETH proportionately and rest $1k you can invest in potential alts like XRP,TRX,EOS,Waves and get returns in future.Rest is your choice.

Yes, you can do more, it all depends on your capabilities, you can invest $ 1,000 and more,and the more you invest and distribute this amount for different projects the more in the end will be the exhaust and your profit,so look, I personally did,and like many expect growth

Should be some altcoins with cheap price such as KMD, XVG, XLM.. After that you must hold them for a while and I believe they will return on the rally in the year of 2019. You always keep patient and confident.

I love threads like this. Heres my bet in the next BTC bull run.

1. BTC : 500usd, its not an alt. But you need to average down.
2. ETH : 300usd, do not under estimate ETH, it can bring down BTC someday.

EOS is the right choice to invest all the $ 2000 you have and hold for the next 1-2 years.

There are lots of coin are very popular. You should believe in your knowledge and choice. Some coin types: XLM, ADA, USDT ...

Why not invest n btc or eth?
1. Eos - the big brother of bitshares and steemit, can challenge eth
2. Nano - no transaction fee forever
3. Privacy coins - take your pick

Nobody forces you to buy 1 BTC or 1 ETH. Break your investments into shares. As an example, you can buy btc, eth, xrp, neo, ltc, ada. Choose something from this for investment, even if it does not work out very well, but it is profitable.

I would advise you not to invest in altcoins for a such long time, because cryptocurrency are developing rapidly and even if today some of the coins seems very promising, tomorrow it may be overboard due to high competition. At the moment, the more often you reinvest than the more profit you get.

I invested in this coins. Not in this proportion , but idea looks the same, but with any other percent.

if I were you, I'd buy more than 3 coins, better 5-10. You can choose the coins yourself, here is my list: Ada, Neo, BNB, OCN, TRX, ZIL, WAN, Ven.

This amount is not too small for you to invest in either bitcoin or ethereum, you can buy any and then other altcoin with this amount. I suggest you buy some bitcoin or ethereum and if you want to buy altcoin, you can buy neo, eos, litecoin. These are very good and potential coin for long term investment.

I think its better if you are the one who will search for better altcoins to be hold, because it is your own investment, but I will still mention some good altcoins like tron, eos, and ethereum.

I think you should invest in Ethereum and BTC in spite of everything. Apart from these, I can recommend NEO. You can choose Monero and EOS. The number of options is very small  :-\

In my opinion, I think diversification is the best strategy in this scenario which is why I would diversify the $2000 by investing into several coins separately to minimize losses and maximize profits. I would invest based on the short term and long term prospects of the coin which is why I urge you to do your research before investing into any particular coin or token.

Long-term: Ethereum, Litecoin, NEO, Stellar, Ripple

Short-term: DENT, TRON, ETN, DeepOnion

I don't understand why you think that you can't invest in bitcoin or Ethereum. Yes, they can't give so much profit as another token can, but it's more stable and non-risk coins.

you can add Nem if you want too.
 I urge everyone to add more coins that has potential especially, coins that offer product and services.
Investing should be more particular and have a knowledgeable before risking your money.

I think it is better to invest even now in Ethereum than in bitcoin for this moment, if Ethereum rises to the level of bitcoin then the profit will be much more

1-2 years is a long time. Buy ethereum and bitcoin, this will be an investment with low risk. Investment for 2 years in other altcoins - high risk
