Title: Google and Facebook go back on their position towards cryptocurrencies; Bitcoin,
Post by: WorkCoin on July 23, 2018, 12:03:17 PM
Is this something we should rejoice over and how will these impact in Crypo Space?

Facebook allows Coinbase to advertize in the social network.
Google includes major coins in the exchange rate converter.
The largest global social network white listed Coinbase from its advertizing ban for cryptocurrency and ICO related companies. The news popped up on Saturday when CEO of the US-based crypto exchange Brian Armstrong posted a tweet with attached Coinbase ad in Facebook:

"Facebook banned ads for crypto earlier this year. Proud to say we've now been white listed and are back introducing more people to an open financial system."

The community cheered the news while the post gathered over 160 comments.

Meanwhile, Google also seems to have warmed up towards digital assets and added Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin to its online currency exchange converter. If a user searches Google for these coins, the system automatically displays their exchange rates for these coins in user's local currency.

It is worth noting that Google's rates differ from CoinMarketCap data, while the source of quotes is not readily available.

Earlier we reported that Google's co-founder Sergey Brin confessed that he had been mining Ethereum together with his ten-year-old son.

All major cryptocurrencies have started the week in a green zone. Bitcoin is one of the growth leader: the coin gained 4% on a daily basis and jumped above $7,700 handle. Ethereum climbed 1% higher to $467, while XRP settled at $0.4592, 2% higher on a daily basis. Bitcoin Cash is changing hands at $827, up5.5%.

I agree with you up to the point that they do not run this world.

But personally, i think that in terms of Internet and social media adverts, they are very important

there is no use in google and facebook being open for cryptoads,

cryptoads are tendenciously bad, for the industry as it gets a corruption image, because only the rich of the past, will be able to reestablish themselves by corrupting themselves with ads, like ripple is doing.

I'd love to know what conversion rates legit businesses like Coinbase were getting from these ads. Apparently they've popped up again so it must be worth something. I fully welcome the execution of ICO bullshit ads. That benefited no one other than the con artists running the ICOs.

I'm also intrigued to know whether this will have any effect in the present market. I find it pretty doubtful myself. The type of person who'd be reeled in by this will be the last to join at the peak, not get in when things are quiet. That's how it's always been and always will be.

It's good and bad when google and Facebook took down cryptos ads they were more keen to stop ICOs which are mostly scam af. So that time it was really good cause there was no more scams ICO but now if you see I, already seeing ICO ads which i do not like cause most of the icos are messed up and I don't like icos personally. So it'll take quiet a while before we understand how good it is.

Google and Facebook have no choice but to removed their previous ban on crypto related post. The world is now starting to adapt the blockchain and cryptocurrency. If Facebook and Google will not adapt to this, they might go bankruptcy in the future because everything will be done in blockchain. Tha is only a wise move for them.

i think the market may consider this as a good news and they certainly are hyping this up all over Reddit and ... these days. but in retrospect i'd say this is more of a bad news than a good one because it means all the scams will come back. the Malware Ads that were fooling the newcomers to download false wallets. the ICO Scams that were fooling newcomers to take their money and all the pumpers ,.... will come back too. and that is more damaging to the whole market than it is good.

Well it was about time that Facebook and Google backtracked on their bans as the cryptocurrency is turning into a huge industry and ignoring the revenues these companies can generate through the crypto industry would just be silly. But I hope that they continue their ban on the ICO ads.

It was then a great move for Google and Facebook to unban crypto Ads. It is a big Help for those who  are following  and joining crypto currency projects. Although. it is open now of doing such Ads to their company  the best thing  was that, the  company only accepting  those  which are licensed ICO’s and signatures. They are restricting those fake crypto Ads and scammers. It is such a good indication that the positive  tone of the US congress about  the cryptocurrencies  had helped peoples doubt of adapting  cryptocurrencies.

It would be a good news for Google or Facebook to advertise with Bitcoin or Crypto. Crypto is now a popular market platform where there is no third party problem. Facebook, Google will be interest because there are many crypto people who use Facebook Google.

this was not exactly a "stance against bitcoin" to now they want to change it!

from the beginning it was all because of large number of advertisement on their platforms which were 90% ICO scams or other forms of scams such as phishing links, links to fake wallets like electrum clones, ... and a lot of people lost money because of these. and nothing has changed about them yet.

Their decision a few months ago is to reduce fraud against its users. Most likely their way of banned crypto currency advertising has been successful, so today they are opening hands again to embrace crypto currency on their platform. The good thing is they are not hypocritical to take crypto currency back and we can be sure they believe that crypto currency has potential to develop in the future.

There's nothing to fight with crypto, so google and social media ventures isn't fearing to promote crypto ads. And with the growing possibilities of scammers population in the Internet it could be prevented through vigilant approach by users of the internet networks.

Google and facebook redeeming their bad thoughts towards cryptocurrencies making some positive approaches towards Crypto world as they understand they even can't be benefited being out of it but had realized they will be benefited more reaching in. FB ads will simply make people aware of Crypto-space who are fully illiterate of it covers the largest social communities combining with one. It is regardlessly, a good sign for all. Other things have many views.

If this is not prohibited by law, all companies can use the cryptocurrency if desired. :)

This desire appears when you receive additional income, for example, as a percentage premium to the value of the cryptocurrency. ;)

I am very much happy to learn this. People saying that they are not that much important, I will say that they can have more impact than TV or media these days. However, one more thing to consider here is that we already have had a lot of promotion of crypto on social networking websites.

Still for new coins or projects, it is a good medium to reach potential investors.

Google also realized the same thing and now accepting it up to certain limit which I believe will be fully recovered within this year. Lets pray for a crypto era..  :-*

This could possibly make the crypto coins be back at it's position where most of the people in social medias are likely to engaged with this currency. Because as I have observed, when Facebook and Google banned bitcoins, the price of it started to decreased and hits at even below 6k USD. Maybe this time it can bounced back again and possibly increased even more.

Google and Facebook lost a lot of money, refusing advertising crypto currency. The situation was aggravated when Facebook shares fell in price. The FB management needs additional sources of income now. Therefore, they are interested in the crypto-currency market. I think, with the development of KYC technologies, the number of crypto-currency projects advertised in Facebook and Google will increase.

All the prohibitions of Google and Facebook are temporary. Moreover, the ban was extended only to certain countries. These companies have a positive attitude to the cryptocurrency market. In each of these companies there are departments that are engaged in the development of blockchain technologies.

Well to some point this is a great news, but at that Google and Facebook has little to impact on bitcoin and the cryptocurrency entirely. Bitcoin most especially have being doing great even with all the crisis it face in this year but the market as at this moment is in green zone which is a perfect indication that no one have any monopoly over cryptocurrency.

Facebook is the most popular social networking site and google is the most used search engine. Now this tow platform has become positive about cryptocurrebcy. This is a great news for the whole community.
In past they ban crypto ads because of ICOs that a lot and can cause bad problem for people (CMIIW). Ane if they found that ICOs already controlled now, i think that is what make them open it again.

To maintain the trend, social media must accept this currency. People say they are not important, I would say that they may have more impact than TV or media these days. Still for new coins or projects, it is a good means to reach out to potential investors. Big tech corporations have backed the encryption market again for life.

Sorry but i have to disagree. Facebook and Google won't accept bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency because its too volatile. What they are trying to do though, is take advantage of crypto by allowing adverts on their platforms. So it will look that they are friendly to crypto but just to take a pie of this billion dollar industry.

This is a good news, i believe bitcoin and others will moon soon. Facebook and Google does not rule the world but they are very important when it come to advert.

Sorry but this kind of news won't bring crypto on the recovery phase and will not go to the moon. Of course there are a lot of social media that we can use to target potential investors but those 2 are giants so it really makes sense for marketers to used their platforms for adverts.
