Is the bear market over?  With BTC hitting $7700 is looks like we are primed for a big altcoin season.  What do you think?

yep, maybe it's time bitcoin reach bright munuju months, I wait bitcoin at a price of $ 10000 with the ability of a large pump of whale investors

Bitcoin is still facing its resistance level and after passing $8000, you can tell if it will be a bull run or a bull trap. I just checked coinmarketcap and still not seeing some hypes double digit of green percentage movement for altcoins but we can see it sooner or later. It is too early to tell if the bulls are coming back or not at this point so you better hold your horses before grabbing some cryptos. Try to mix up TA and FA when trading  ;)

It's still way too early to say that the bear season is over. In early may BTC spiked back up to over 9,000, but then dropped rapidly back to almost 6,000.

I'm definitely hopeful that the bear season is over, and that the majority of people are done selling, but I am still very cautious. It could be possible that the people who managed to buy in under 7,000 may be wanting to sell off soon to take their profits. Or negative news may cause the price to drop again. Nobody knows for sure.

Maybe bear market is over because Bitcoin already rise to $7700, but most of the altcoin still stay at current price and price don't have big move, so I think we just need to wait more time for bull market really happen, at least current market is stable

I just checked the coinmarketcap and still have not seen some hypes double digit green movement percentage for altcoin but we can see it sooner or later. It's too early to know whether the bulls return or not at this point so you better hold your horse before grabbing some cryptos.

Looks like slowly bulls are taking over the bears this is also confirmed by the increasing volume and the dominancy of the btc but i think real party will start once btc breaks 12k barrier.

still not sure, cause it can drop, if btc not drop now, then it will going higher like (20k$+). and i believe it will happen in this year. but not sure when it will growing.

I had hoped this was the case but I think we may need to wait a little while longer. I don't think it's far off, but we arent there yet. I think another few weesk should be enough time for people's confidence to start to build again and things start to go green.

However, other tokens have not gone up at all, so I don't think this is a normal phenomenon, let alone the arrival of a bull market.
I think it's still going to take some time to get out of the bear market. ;D

the price of bitcoin goes up by 2000 usd but we are not certainly sure that it will continue to rise
since its so volatile that others don't know what to do, unless it goes up to 10000 usd we are still not sure
if its going up already, but one thing is for sure somewhere at the end of the year bitcoin price will once again

Well nobody knows except for the Bulls.  ;D I am serious, BTC is heavily being manipulated right now. 6200$ in today and suddenly 7300$ next day. It might crash again or might continue the bull run. If you HODL and do not try to ride the waves (sell high buy low) you can certainly survive. After all it is all a Whale's game and we are just small fish

Slow down guys, I think it is a fake bear scenario. Right now everyone will think that is a buying time and the whales will sell you BTC on a 7800-8000$, then you will see a drop maybe in a week or two weeks. Most of the support levels are made by bots.

Dont you ever forget that this year we have reached $15,000 then drown dip,the theres $14,000 again drown dipper and another $11,000 but just last month we dragged to $5,000 mark.so please people stop speculating bigger because failure is always following,let us wait if what may be the prices by tomorrow.for now lets just enjoy having good prices

i think bullish is next now. as we can see the graph since last week until now BTC is moving up slowly, a little more support this will move into a bullrun now. hopefully it will continue to pump to recover it's last year price. better we must hold what we have right now maybe in the few days it will rise x5 x10 or even x20.

It's too early to tell. There've been multiple times this summer when bitcoin's price was promising and holding a stable reasonable price mark for some time, but then it went down to $6k over and over again.The chart does look like we have an upward tendency since the beginning of July, but the April's tendency was even stronger and it deceived us. I think bitcoin might need a really long time to recover. And who knows, maybe it is not even bitcoin's price that will make the market recover. I think people are paying more attention to other strong projects now and if one of them end up being very successful, it can encourage people to invest more into cryptos in general.

     Yes it's going to be strong because the price of Bitcoin as of now is $7733 and the Ethereum is $462 so I think it's time BTC or ETH and also good to buy other coins like ofr example ,

I agree completely. Its way too early to state that the bear market is over. It is obviously great to see Bitcoin rising in value, but it can fall back down just as easily just like it did earlier this year. I feel that the bear market would properly conclude when Bitcoin rises above $10k which could trigger a big bull run just like last year which is why I suggest HODLING all your coins and tokens at the moment.

I hope that the bull market will begin soon, but something tells me that it's probably not the end of the bear market, it can last three years, like the previous ones, and end when a real panic begins, with the exits through the window , so we also need to be ready to this development of events.

In my humble opinion it will be interesting to see if altcoins will follow bitcoin like they did in that winter craze last year. For now, Ethereum is loosing its price while bitcoin is gaining it. But I think we have nothijng to worry about, because more than 50% of projects is depending on Ethereum network. While this is an indication of bull market, well I dunno. Could be a bear trap.

Yes the bear market is very near to end because of bitcoin ETF news and I wish this bitcoin ETF should get approved. This approval of CBOE's application to SEC will give big push to the HTC price as well as to the altcoin price. Lot of new money will come into the crypto market if the SEC approves this application.

To be honest, all what I see is another bull trap. Maybe, I am too paranoid after all these dumps, who know. ;D Let's hope that I am wrong about it! But now buyers are not strong enough for reaching higher than 10,000$ i think.

It's true btc made some great moves in price today, but i am confident about how long it will make that progress, we saw last week how it went up so high and later start dipping, so let's see how it goes this time around.

In my personal opinion, in the coming days Bitcoin will continue to grow, according to at least until we again sank to the area of $ 5 800. Potentially, we can see the rally to $ 8 000 - 8 500. At the moment I would wait for a zone 8100 from where the bitcoin dominant in 46% will be unloaded on purchase of altcoins, here then yes, the season can really begin, the question on how many he will last and what coins will "shoot"

Well, i could say that the battle has continue as the market getting better taking to this year 2018 speculation. This effect which rising the value is due to the positive reaction by the community making the bitcoin is greatly a big assist in world digital investing. As this all result is hoping to reach $8,000 USD for the next month.

I won't say that the bear market is over unless we'll see it back to $10,000 first. This is just my measurement if the bear market is over and I might be wrong too and we're now into bullish for bitcoin.

Maybe the bear market is over, and the bull market mighy start anytime soon. That is why it is best to buy now as long as the prices are cheap. The market price of altcoin had stayed cheap for a long time and we might not be seeing this prices again once the bull run starts.

Well it is a good thing that the market is recovering a little bit but the issue is that how will the current value be sustained. I remembered that we had an upward movement in price last week as well but it was not sustained till the end of the week. Sustainable market condition might be towards the end of the year.

That depends on the how good the result of ETF application is. There are so many people were betting on this application. Winklevoss ETF and many more has proven every ETF will bring a value to the bitcoin until the announcement date of the how ETF will be approved by the regulators or not. bitcoin has been getting a very good momentum right now.

With all the media hype and positive news you have to start thinking this is close to the bottom.  They shook the tree real hard.  Hopefully no one sold out at extreme losses because when this all turns around its going to blast off hard.  Some people are making that big mistake in life right now as they hit that sell button days before the moon shoot.

The bull is on!  Bitcoin is floating upwards.  Waiting for the rockets to kick in but I think we have had a nice and strong bounce.  This last dump was the big boys trying to scare us all to dump  our coins before the real blast off happens and the common folk stream in.

The bull market for altcoins will be only if bitcoin will be fixed. In case the swings will continue, I doubt that a bright future awaits for altcoins. Of course I would like to, but so far the altcoins are bleeding.

I highly doubt the bears day are done for good.  I'm happy that the bears are pretty much done selling for now though.  There might be a couple sellers since prices are rising. There could also be some bad news that might jump start the bears again.

The market has behaved quite positively these days, however we should not be overconfident as it has often been seen that the great whales have been manipulating the market to catch many unwary in terrible bull traps.

I prefer to be very cautious about it and avoid being too optimistic. I believe that the market will continue to move in a fairly narrow range between $6,000 and $8,000, and perhaps by the end of the year we may see the $10,000 line fall.

Its very risky to invest on any shitcoins when the market is quiet not in a good position, I'd rather choose good altcoins. Altcoins hopefully to start pump again next month but it still not guaranteed unless we see a sign of a bull market again, ETF is the most anticipated news in August so let's see if will brings the market up again.

Forget about the 7,000$ mark as bitcoin has already hit 8,000$ as of today. It's already obvious that the bearish market already ended and its duration of 6 months, i have really made a good buy of the altcoins that i am eyeing the whole time since i started joining the crypto industry.

Maybe, but we should focus now mainly on short-term strategy and now Bitcoin is still a king. How much longer it will take to change of the 1st place or maybe it won't happen? For me it's just too hard to speculate about this right now, please focus on the short-term guys.

I always check the market and I noticed some changes in the bitcoin price as what I noticed for the past couple of days, bitcoin is pumping 7k now it pump to 8k and I guess it is the best sign that we are not is a bear market now instead in a bull market already.

Actually this is not a bull market, the market just started to pump. Very happy to see the pump because daily the price is pumping it happens after very long time. If this pump continues in upcoming days surely we can expect the bull market as very near. Hope it would not dump again, all are expect this situation only. So this is not too late to buy, just  buy now and hold it for future.

Right now it needs to break resistance around $10000 and if that happens the true resistance around $16500 once this resistance will break fomo buyers will come in for sure and all coins will set their new all time high.

I think the bear market is over as we already hit above $8k again and now btc searching for consolidation to sky rocket again i hope this year is not like in 2014 because if its like 2014 bear market then we will only see bullish at 2021 and before that we will get a lot of storm incoming.

Bear market started when the current time, the SEC news rejection of BTC, the exchange rate of the whole market is showing signs of going down. I think Bull Market is starting because the price of Bitcoin is soaring up high and the same time the volume is also soaring up high, it means, we are one bullish. That is very good news for every bitcoin holder, the "ber" months is approaching, expect for more bullish.

people usually can safely say that the market is bullish when it reached or atleast close to the all time high and in this case for bitcoin is $20,000 which is way too far if seen from $8000 stages

If you just look at the price right now, its easy to say that we are out now from the bear market but since a lot of speculation saying that this pump is just because of the hype of the ETF and if something bad happen, we will back to a bear market again. I think the bear market is over and when you look at the price of bitcoin around $7800-$8000. I think these prices are the bottom price this year and the last chance to buy bitcoin around this price, if my speculation is correct then if you don't buy now you cannot buy around these low price again when bull run return.

I think there is a sign for a bullish market this year. The movement of bitcoin right now is slowly moving up and we will see more greenish chart on the exchanges. Let just buy now cheaper coin so that we will gain more profit when it gets really bullish.

For today it is very difficult to determine a really promising coin, Especially with a cheap price. The poor state of the market has strongly and negatively affected the development of new projects and therefore there are some risks to buy problematic coins.

I also noticed that many are thinking that this is due to the ETF hype but what I think is this is a normal recovery from the outcome that we've been experiencing for the past months. It's been a long time that we've been into the bear market so that's just the opposite force that will counter the past months.

indeed the movement of coin prices in the market today is very difficult to predict, and to trade today for me is not the right time, and for example we want to invest in bitcoin and other altcoins to keep in the long term, I think in the end we will be able to generate huge profits. And we have to be optimistic that everything will definitely again raise the price higher again than it is today.

For me the bear market still not yet over as long as the total market cap will not hit $400B-$500B or more than that altcoins will not set their new ATH. I guess we still have to wait for a little bit. Be patience everyone, goodluck.

We are still in a bearish market as the price is still in erratic movement with some resistance. Although I see it was slowly climbing for bitcoin but on the altcoins it's still not moving. I'm hoping that this will improve more buy support to push the price climb higher for us to get our profits.

It has started to take a dip and almost down by 600$ as it has reached 7600$. Couple of days back it was trading above 8100$ and had a lot of expectation as August started the dip too started which is not a good news. Hope it will only for a small price and recovery will happen soon.

I don't think so, buddy ,you're too optimistic. How can the bear market go so easily? I deem that bear market would last a few more years, unless one of the favorably breaking news is announced in the near future, otherwise the downtrend is unstoppable.

What I have observed and seen, the bull market has now shown results even though it has not been maximized because I see there are coins rising in price, and my bull market predictions will come soon, so I think we have to be patient so you do not loss, because you sell coins or your token for a bargain price.

Difficult to determine whether the bear market is gone pass. While the charts and forecasts shows that the bitcoin will continue to gain its value over the weeks and months to come, we just experienced another dip. Though this doesn’t change the predictions for bitcoin but a lot believed that a dip will happen.

That is right. We have rising trend in the price of Bitcoin but the bullish market has not yet completely started. The rise in slow and steady and the price is getting stable as well but the bull market will be when Bitcoin reaches the value it fell form in the start of the year.

And since some experts have been predicting that, there are huge possibilities we would have a bull market and a boom till the end of the year. So it is wise to hold the coins right now for the bull market.

but why does that happen now there are so many people who have sold the bitcoin or altcoin they have, but there is also the truth if those who hold it until they wait until the price rises high is someone who is wise.

Still the market look down to me. ETH went back to its recent lowest support level again.

Bears are still in hold of the market. A sudden news can bring a pump as in this case it is the expected ETF release. But is there increase in new investors? the answer is no. There is no incoming of new money into the market. This shows that bears are still in charge of the market and bull phase hasn't yet started. I think the end of the Q3 might bring a bullish wave.

I am still confident that we'll see a decent bull market in the not too distant future. Support levels are still holding, which helps to build confidence.

bull market may happen but it takes a very long time and need good news that can trigger the investors to move bitcoin price by buying bitcoin and make bitcoin price up again, waiting patiently bull market will happen. hold the assets you have, don't be easily affected to sell at very cheap prices.

When I mean bull market I talk about Bitcoin going above 10 k .It keeps getting close to 9k but then it keeps crashing down to 7.5 k.I hope that before the year end we see it.

today many bitcoin predictions will break until waiting for confirmation at the end of August. I think this was only yesterday's support from the price of $ 8200. and today the bitcoin crashes from $ 7700 to $ 7350. hopefully this can survive to create a new level higher. and all predictions to go to the moon is real.

I hope bull market to come soon. Bear market is going on for a long time and everone that made investments by January 2018 are in loss.

I still think the bull market has not started even though the price of bitcoin is increasing but the altcoins are still down. I am sure before the end of the year, the bull run will start and then the price of all crypto will rise positively.

I don't think so, but i believe this will be ending this august which is the end of the ghost month. Base on chart history BTC and other alts usually gain it's momentum after ghost month and with the start of the "BER" months till january. Hope this will be the case this year.

Look guys, we've had so many false alarms, so many double bottoms, so what does that tell you? Speculation, remember? We can only guess. Good news or bad news doesn't really matter. Bitcoin is trying to find a price to stabilize at and every pull back means that that stable price was too high. We had almost a year of bullish markets, so makes sense to have almost a year of bearish markets. Let's just wait and sit up when the bull returns. That has to be at $10k.

Bulls were in control for three weeks but right now it's bear who has again gained an edge over bulls. If we didn't closed above $7800 by end of day today, then we'll lose more market on weekend and bears will gain huge momentum. The only positive sign right now is that ETF decision will come in exactly 7 days from now. So there're chances that people will buy in hope of ETF approval.

Wasn't the talks about the ETF decision will be on 2019?, I think this rumor is responsible for the big dip that crypto market is experiencing today.

The current situation of crypto market is neither bull nor bear. It is currently moving sideways with the recent correction from $6k to $8.7k to current level of $7.3k. It's probably going to stay there for a while until ETF decision takes place which I don't think would be that significant. Wherever the market is going, we have to be prepared to take profit or cut loss.

it is still too early to assess the bull market started it could be that the increase in yesterday was a trap, and as usual bitcoin still needs good news news about bitcoin and that can increase prices easily, and I will believe bull starts when the price of bitcoin reaches $ 10000.

The bull market should pick up by the end of this year.  We will most likely see new all time highs across the board for all altcoins by then.

It's not yet over and the price had got dip again without any reason of the downfall. The market is not getting any positive response from the investors as it always in a bad mode. Maybe this month or in September we can see a good rally. Let's wait and be patient.

Yes, even i suspect whether the bear market is over or not yet. Actually, the suspection is because of the unconfirmed move or unconfirmation trend movement from the bitcoin as there is no particular strong trending movement is seen in the Bitcoin price charts. This movement is somewhat stating that this can be a good season for altcoin as they could get some big demand soon if bitcoin didn't get one.

Now bulls are very weak. According to technical analysis market will be in flat during this year. Furthermore it will fall lower in the first half of the next year. You can just make money by scalping.

Hard to know if the bear market is over or not but we need to be patience in this dip maybe this coming few months the market will change.

No sign of bull run as of the moment. But I know it will happen . We really need more patience . The dip will last until september or worse is until october. But just like what happen last year it will soon move upward and move stronger to bullrun.

Yesterday it got bounce around $7300 which exactly on EMA 50 on 1 day chart for me it happens already because uptrend already on it's way but once it go below around $7200 you will be right about that the reversal trend still not happening. We just have to monitor it for a few days.

Still hard to speculate, though we seen some great moves for a couple  of weeks then back again into square one, correction happens again we need to take more serious observation in order to benefits from this timely change up while waiting for reversal between bear and bull market, in the meantime make some good strategy and do also some short term trade.

Yes, it hard to speculate or predict the price of the market but once the big Maccoin is done distributed the market will gain some pump in price. As a matter of fact, the market will continue to gain some slightly increase in price next week base on how the market went well right before the capital market closed for the weekend.

ETF continues to linger as a possibility, Many of us continue to remain doubtful on its approval and do suspect if we get a denial we make new lows for 2018. If by chance it is approved, I still do not believe it locks in bull market as kicking off again. We will certainly see a nice bull pump but by it would be hard to say that the bear market is over just because of some bullish event.

The bull era seems to have yet to come back. Market volumes are very low, prices are not rising. When the bull era arrives, all of our altcoin will rise, and at that point, the price of everything falls. Maybe in a few months the prices may increase :)

Bear market is not over yet, it's very to difficult to Identify real market now because the market is manipulated, even with the good news about NYSE, Microsoft, Starbucks, and ICE we are still in a bear market because of manipulation, some people out there are controlling everything they can earn money on bear or bull market it doesn't matter, Bitmex is the winner here.

It is not over, I do not understand why people get excited about every single movement in the price of bitcoin, we will need way stronger signals to declare the bear market is over, right now bitcoin is struggling to maintain a price higher than 7000, and if bitcoin is struggling it is likely most alt are having even bigger problems to maintain their current prices.

The bulls isn't coming out yet and we ate kept on waiting until it goes out and see what will happen next. Even though we've seen green market in the past few days but isn't bulls we've looking for.  It is just a usual fluctuations and it could be possible of preparing for bull run.

The fall of the cryptocurrencies could be the result of the following event: several significant figures decided to convert digital money into fiat. If it is true, the market will recover in less than a month, and we can wait for the bull run.
