Title: Suggestion: New "Report to Moderator" Button in user profile last posts
Post by: bitmover on July 24, 2018, 10:33:24 PM
I was reporting some users and though that this could help a lot and make moderation and reporting easier. What do you think?

Without the context of the thread, it's often hard to tell a shitpost from a "normal" short comment.
So, no. :)

I was thinking about the same idea recently when I started reporting these bunch of spammers and it really takes time because I need to review their posts first, and when I'm going to report it I still need to go to the thread where the post is posted. Now, with this idea I think reporting spammer by reviewing their posts will a be lot easier and can save time. I agree with this one.

I just started reporting too much recently and actually I thought that there were really a "Report to Moderator" button in post history.

Without the context of the thread, it's often hard to tell a shitpost from a "normal" short comment.
So, no. :)
Sorry but I don't get it, what do you mean? I think it's the same.

I don't think it's same. Sometimes you shouldn't make reports when you don't see context and other replies in thread. But offcourse, such button in "last posts" would help to report "Great project" kind of posts more effective because you don't have to see context in this case.

In some cases, it's obvious from the post alone that it is a "reportable" shitpost.
In other cases, a very short post might still be a "meaningful" post in reply to the OP.

E.g. posts like:
Quote
+1
Quote
Good Job!
Quote
Nice!
Quote
LOL
Quote
:)
are certainly not high quality or really useful.
But should you report them?
What if they're the acknowledgement of some good work of the OP?

Therefore, before you report a post, you should always have a look at the thread in which the post has been made.
