 I think the coin for you is STQ, aside that before you choose a coin consider coins that have their own blockchain like ether, xlm, neo, Remme.Because this days transaction fees for transferring coins on other blockchains are outrageous

At first ,you have to choose the altcoin as a long-term . Because we can't expect huge raise even in the potential altcoin like ETH, Monero,Waves,Neo. Only in bitcoin,we can expect huge rise.So if you choose altcoin,to inverse your money.You have to hold it for the longer period.

I think i would only buy ETH. You can't trust anything right now in this market but Eth would be the safe one. If you are going to invest in something, invest in ETH.

I'm not sure about it but if I think if you can find out a good cryptocurrency and good time to join so it'll be good time all the time :)). At the moment, I think it's really easy to find out good altcoin to invest in cause all altcoins price are falling just because of Bitcoin price increasing so you just need to choose some altcoin with high rank and invest in :).

Yes, I do agree with your suggestion, but sometimes it is impossible to invest in Top 5 because investor might look for short-term profits. They won't wait for the long-term because the Top5 coin is a long-term investment, which they need find some other coins which have potential after those Top 5.

You answered your question in your title if you should invest in altcoins now. We don't even know what's STQ and I'm not going to invest on that coin. Why others are answering only the question of that title if you aren't reading the sentence constructed by OP. As discuss by OP, those fees depends on you set them. And if you are about to send some coin to any of your friends, just set them to the amount that you're not going to complain, fees are there to set on how fast the transaction would go.

Now the transaction fee for any transfer of coins is very high, which is caused by channel congestion. In the current market, we can only choose to accept this situation!

It is as good as it can be on altcoin world tbh. The dollar worth is pretty stable yet alts go down in value in bitcoin. Which means when bitcoin stays the same the altcoins will go back to their "bitcoin" value but since bitcoin went up the altcoins going up would mean it would make profit on dollar value. Simple math shows us this, if I can make such a simple deduction don't you think the investors and whales can not see this? They will see the chance and get into it, maybe already did. It is as good of a time as it gets for it.

You are mentioning about transaction fees, but I'm not encountering any such problems while transferring any coin including bitcoin and most other famous coins. After segwit, bitcoin transaction fees are coming down but eth transactions are fluctuating high and low as their network is getting congested most often still their current gas rate is similar to what I have seen some two or three weeks back. But I agree some months back it was below 8 Gwei but now a days it is consistent at 10 Gwei.
