Title: Buying and Selling Bitcoin with Skrill
Post by: denis-z12 on July 25, 2018, 08:38:56 AM
I am not sure if there is a similar topic already, I apologise if there is.

Skrill is now offering an option to buy/sell crypto currencies. At the moment the following currencies are accepted: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC).
You can buy with fiat EUR/USD and 40 other local currencies.
The transation fees are 1.5% when buying/selling with EUR/USD and 3% for all other local currencies.

More information available here

What do you think about this?

In the meantime, we have users facing issues with their deposited bitcoin funds: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4739162.msg42802069#msg42802069

If you buy bitcoin, how is that going to work? you'll be able to withdraw them to your personal address without restrictions? This may be exciting news but we should first see how they're going to handle it.

Every skrill account has withdrawal limits so you would have to be within those limits i guess.
Skrill is pretty strict and tends to block accounts asking for the source of the money, business you are involved in but if your income is legit you have nothing to worry about.

Yes i know Skrill is a big company that involved in cryptocurrency. One of the Skrill partner is Helbiz, a car sharing platform in blockchain.
Sometime Skrill giving some bonus if we trading in the exchange of Skrill's partners. I think they want to see other partners in the future.

Yes that's what I know the skrill is pretty strict because they can block an accounts if there's any problem.
It's easy for Skrill wallet holders to send and receive money, well I feel that is great and for now I will gather more information about it.

I can see that the account was already accepted or confirmed but he can not withdraw his bitcoin from it, Well aside from that issue if OP is not having any problem with his skrill then maybe there are technical issue with some country and a particular country was just affected with that kind of problem, Because I really don't think he got a problem with his internet connection? Because that error can be seen if there is such problems with something that is technically not a problem of skrill but a connection problem on his internet or some major issue with his country or technical update in his place with the skrill site.

These are some limits attached with the level of withdrawals. All in all, the rules and regulations are pretty tight and has high security when it comes about identifying the sources of the transactions. So, it's a go signal from most of the users.

I used Skrill 3 years ago(when buying/selling btc/eth/litecoin wasn`t implemented) and I was disappointed by the low level of customer support and the transaction fees.3 years later,I hope that the Skrill team has done a lot,in order to improve their service. They are the biggest Paypal competitor and they`ve adopted cryptocurrency payments.Paypal should follow their example.

To offer Bitcoin for Skrill I think you have to trade them first. To do that tap on "Trade" in the best menu of SpectroCoin site, select Pay Currency as bitcoins (BTC) and favored Receive Currency (USD/EUR). In the wake of contributing the alluring Bitcoin trade sum click "Trade". Once your bitcoins are traded, go to "Pull back" segment of the SpectroCoin page and select "Pull back to Skrill".

my opinion with the news is cryptocurrency is growing rapidly and can adapt to the fiat currency that applies around the world and maybe also a time cryptocurrency will be accepted by all countries and all people as currency applicable

this is very interesting and it is very good if it can do the exchange with local money, but I think the problem is too expensive buayanya if the sale reaches 3%

Using Skrill is a good choice. People do not have the habit of using encryption money frequently. With the development and marketing of communities, people believe that people have more opportunities to use encrypted currencies.

I think you can only deposit or buy crypto with your fiat wallet on Skrill and are not allowed to withdraw anything out of your account. It's like a closed system where you can only convert back and forth within Skrill. And the fees are kinda high in my opinion so all this ordeal is not worth it in the grand scheme of things when there are better exchanges around which allow withdrawals to personal wallets.

It's better to see this being offered from official companies, where they're going to have to go through the ID verification and such rather then having these being done P2P with tons of fraud happening in between -- this is done when people are using stolen accounts, fake ids, and so on and so forth. Some may say that this centralization is going to hurt Bitcoin, but this is needed to bring trust to the exchanges marketplace. Once we've established trust, we can attempt to bring decentralized -- but this isn't something we can do immediately.

From my point of view skrill is pretty good. Those who are skrill  wallet holder they can easily transfer money. It is strict but not that much it can block account if there is any problem occur.

Are you sure that using Skrill is safe?
There are many fresh reviews about skrill here https://www.trustpilot.com/review/skrill.com
And I think it is not a good idea to use their service these days look at this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4766846.0
He is still having issue with skrill.

So do you think we can still trust skrill? I know skrill is an old company but never use them before but I made account in skrill because I found that they also had prepaid master card that I can use for buying services using a master card but after I found many complains about depositing with bitcoin I stop using their service.

So do you think it is safe to use Skrill?

Skrill has been a renowned brand for years, their crypto exchange platform also looks very promising but there are some complaints and negative feedback from the user regarding their complexity of interface and process of withdrawal. The withdrawal limit is also questionable as of now, hopefully they will overcome all these and make it more user friendly in future. :'(
