Post by: nngella on July 26, 2018, 01:38:09 PM
To all the newbies out there planning to join airdrop/bounty campaigns,
I would like to inform you that there is a board named Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0)

In this board you will find the hardworking users of this forum to identify scams to prevent us, especially newbies, to lose money.
Day by day there are so many innovative ways scammers are using to get your private keys and make you satoshi-less (pennyless).

Take this scam as an example,

I find this bounty campaign : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4402172.0

Look into its ridiculous condition:

Ethereum Private Airdrop

We will distribute  5.000.000 ETHPT  Token to the first 5000 people.

Everyone join Airdrop will get 1.000 ETHPT  Token = $ 50

•  To get your Tokens of Airdrop

send
0.005 ETH to Airdrop address, and you will get 1000 Token automatic

If you can send more than 0.005 ETH you will get more tokens

Airdrop address: 0x983fa65777f156cb5CBeB95faC5e2135c4802C6B

•  Participated in the AirDrop Form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc16g0FBJ1dYxt79sTP-EQyTgpruQy31kPg-5BmAzycLYhNrg/viewform) | Spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_FwZKQew4lqt8s8K_nCw0RZZ4R1VXrn337pqN3MVjk4/edit#gid=1630861185)

When you go to the bounty campaign, the bounty manager  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2053023)is a copper member and it is a typical bounty campaign.  However, this airdrop rules is really ridiculous and asking users to send money to his private address!

When I was a Newbie, I just went to Beginners and Help and Meta Sections because I am not familiar with the other boards.  Later, I discovered this section and begin my journey of learning from others and contributing to help bounty hunters.
