     Good news recently pushed the bitcoin price up to over $ 8,000. It is rumored that the bitcoin ETF investment fund may be approved by the SEC. This makes the bitcoin price very unpredictable. If the situation is favorable, the bitcoin price will increase until that date and if it is actually approved the bitcoin price will skyrocket and the whole market will go up. Conversely, if it has not been approved will lead to price go down the whole market. You think the case will happen?

I think the chances of the ETF getting approved are extremely low. The US Government isn't going to want to have to deal with all the potential losses that could lead from scams. They are going to reject the proposal again, and we are going to have a dip, noobs will panic sell and smart money will quickly buy the dip and in a couple of days we'll be back again.

Maybe one day noobs will learn that we don't need ETF or Futures for Bitcoin. By then the dips after the rejections will not happen since there will be no noobs to profit from as they stay on BTC.

I agree with this, after researching a little bit more it seems the enthusiasm over bitcoin ETFs seems to be great but do you think that is going to be enough to change the mind of the SEC? No, they do not care what people think they only care about protecting their self interests, we must understand that the market of cryptocurrencies is one of the riskiest all over the world and that even while some people get great profits those profits do not come free, someone has to lose money, adding more people in an artificial way will only add gasoline to the fire and will cause many complains among the investors.

The rally seems to have stopped though, so the mini bull run really could have been about the hyped up chances of the SEC approving the Winklevoss Twins' Bitcoin ETF. It did seem to rejuvenate the market, so I'm kind of optimistic that the $8k price range could be maintained.

since bitcoin does NOT need ETF to go up, what i think is that with or without ETF bitcoin will remain on the same path that it has been on for the past 9 years and there is no reason for it to change directions now. but with the news about ETF we will have some disturbance in the market meaning before its approval we will have lots of speculation and some rises. afterwards if it is approved then we will see a jump and then a correction to go back to normal and if it is not we will see a small drop before we go back to normal. in the end we will be back to normal and rising back up again it will just be postponed because of ETF no matter what the result.

I think if the SEC has approved the BTC, significant price increases will occur, it could even exceed $ 8k and I'm sure this will definitely happen because it's been proven that bitcoin is the best investment

I think that ETF is not really a big factor that makes the price of bitcoin will going up, as we can see that there are only several people who know what ETF is, and only several people who think that it would give an effect to the price of bitcoin. So, in my view, the price of bitcoin will go up when there are other reasons which related to the price of bitcoin.

It is true that you don't really need ETF to get approved in order to see BTC rise again. If it is supposed to be rising again, it will definitely rise. However, I think SEC will accept ETF proposal this time. After the recent massive public response of 97% for ETF approval have definitely shaken them as they have delayed the hearing again. If Bitcoin ETF gets approved, BTC's demand will definitely rise.

I agree with those experts who predict that the price of btc will rise soon. To my mind, it is obvious that the price will increase greatly and you will see that you will earn good money next year

Certainly in the coming months of the august we will see a rapidly rising bitcoins price. My only advice is to be wise because it's hard to trust even when we know that the august month is up trends. It is better that we are prepared for what can happen so we can recover from our losses.

Despite the fact that the news of the ETF investment found being approved is not 100% confirmed due to the fact that the news is just a rumor I believe the sec will never allow the market to fall in totality and at that we will still witness significant growth in the bitcoin market because there have been good news all around and the level of demands for the commodity is on the increase in recent time that is the reason for this recent increase above $8000.

I am afraid that Bitcoin may not accept by the SEC! There has less chance to accept Bitcoin by ETF! So, I am confused about the next bitcoin bull run. Yes, you are right, investment funds can raise the price of bitcoin, but they can also lower the price over time, which is bad for bitcoin.

Yes, the bitcoin make price goes up are those investors and I think SEC or either ETF is not the main factor that the price will go up as what OP's said since bitcoin price was unpredictable we can conclude that these are the big effect on bitcoin price. I think that nowadays there are more different blockchain projects are developing and I think that Token Sale projects are also developing such as Socratus have you heard about it?  It is a digital platform for insurance companies. So any insurance company can connect the platform to become the part of Insurance Digital Ecosystem. They are aiming to create a win-win insurance whereby you get instant claim payment,  fair and transparent dealing and friendly prices.  I think this is really cool and it seems like an innovative and demanded project.

I think that the EFT proposal is just a tiny piece of the jigsaw.

It's nice to see a short term rise as a result since this will inject some confidence and protect the currency from the bigger dip that it was primed for.

We have 2 possible scenarios. In case of approval (taking into account the proposal of the CBOE) the price should rise, as it is difficult to predict, but certainly is very positive. In case the request is denied we can have a massive sale and the price should go back to the range of 5-6k usd.

I think ETF approval aren't derictly help of pumping for bitcoin price increase have an little help of course but bitcoin fluctuatins nobody can predict or control it when they comes as high volatile moves goes dump or up,

if seen from the end of this month the price of this breakout $ 6000 hinted that most likely bullish position will continue and the next target is $ 10000, why is that? we can see the body candle in the daily time frame where the bull position is very dominant. possibly next August bullish will dominate again to go to $ 10000

   Well,let's just wait what will be happen to bitcoin after this  ETF approval if ever. We all know bitcoin from the beginning that we can't control it fluctuation but after that bitcoin always recover no matter what the news or something that affect bitcoin. Bitcoin is a strong digital currency that no one can stop it in just a one snap.

The ETF's ability to pass is very low.  I did not expect anything about it.  But I believe in the coming months there will be a lot better news to bitcoin go to moon prices later this year.

I strongly agree.Bitcoin has experienced already a lot of ups and downs and so i don't fear anymore if this ETF will not be approved because for sure bitcoin will have its own way of recovering its price.

This could be one among the event that has made an expectation among the users for its growth. We don't know whether it will be approved or not, but to me even before the approval the price has sky rocketed by the end of the last year and continued till the beginning days. So, the approval will add potential, but the real growth itself enough to touch new marks.

Well, I don't think that the major price fall coming anywhere within the next 8 to 12 months. It is true that big whales and institutional investors are waiting for the opportunity to get involved with Bitcoin at a proper momentum so that they can encash the opportunity in order to make a profit from it. Such decision might create chaos for the short term but it won't affect the long-term growth of Bitcoin in any way.

the next trend of bitcoin is to decrease the price because since yesterday, the trend is trying to get down and I think the price wants to make a correction (again) which always happen. From my point of view. Sec will approve ETF. If SEC will endorse it we will anticipate more validity, safety and development. I believe everyone wait for this news. As I know many investor also wait to invest here after this endorsement. So I think us government will accept it this time.

Actually BTC market is very volatile from the first as all of the market is. ETF approval hype helped BTC to effect in change of prices. I think bitcoin price don't rise just because of ETF approvement expectation. Many good news about bitcoin keep coming but I'm not sure if they are real or whales' gameplay method. Remember november 2017. Good news about bitcoin was all around. Bitcoin price has increased more than it has to be. And you know what happened next. I see positive trend in near future but also 4000 dollars target is still on the table.

Now, it is going down with speed! We are under 8K level again. I hope it will try bounce soon again.

Bitcoin looks to be holding up very well in light of the negative ruling on the ETF.  I think Bitcoin has damn near bottomed when even bad news like this has no effect.  I see a rocket ride higher and over 20k by mid 2019

Well the new ETF has been rejected and now bitcoin has an increase of probability of going down. I see this as a normal action of bitcoin as most of the users were in agreed with the new ETF so this hype around the bitcoin price can be vanquish anytime.

That is very correct and if the news is any thing to go by I think that will be the reason behind the recent rise in the price of bitcoin in the market, and the ETF investment found will further strengthen the bitcoin the more.

Now, there are a lot of positive news about the cryptocurrency market. But the growth of the cryptocurrency market is just beginning, there are bad news at once. Hacking cryptoexchanges, hacking Metmask, phishing and many others. This is all the manipulation of the market, you do not need to react to it. You should always analyze projects, cryptocurrencies and think with your head.

I agree with this market analysis. It does of course make sense that any unfavorable decision taken against BTC will likely cause its price to drop but I do think this won't last long and the price will start recovering and climbing slowly to ~10k.

Right now Bitcoin is mostly trading sideways, other than the push and shove that's occurring between $6,000 and $7,000. I'm expecting us to break above $7,000 by the end of the month.

I think SEC will accept ETF proposal this time, although, you don't really need ETF approval for BTC to rise, if it does rise, it will against its own pace. Recent public response has created even greater momentum for acceptance, which has made it delay for the hearing. If Bitcoin ETF gets approved, BTC's demand will definitely rise.

quite the contrary, this is very difficult for the market and make us very big losses including me, because with this is not just the price of bitcoin only down but almost all coins come down as well.

Bitcoins has already reached $5k dollars but it still managed to grow back to $6k immediately which means that there are only whales who are waiting for the price to drop before investing a huge amount and that is the reason why we should hold our coins today because it will grow immediately in the future.

The "skyrocket" can happen with the same level as possibility of the "deepest deep". People, don't bee too optimistic about bitcoin, cause of that may bring you to crash. We should to be very careful with crypto investment, they are really unpredictable and we can loose everything or gain very much, it's 50/50.

Pumping price of the bitcoin and crypto coins are very near from now wait to happen that and you will be happy because you can buy everything that you want.

Sure, the $6k support has acted solid for a while and the market so far is trying to test the $6800 - $7k resistance which I believe once we break only with good volume can change the perspective of the market at least in the short term. Yes it is possible and actually that was also im thinking about . many news lately that claims altcoins ( especially etherium will going down ) due to some valid reasons and that will the way for people switch on bitcoin . so probably the next trend of bitcoin will be on pump phase .

Not only bitcoin but ico's are another option by the people that will leave the altcoin scene . so ico's will also experience a major break this up coming months 

the next trend of bitcoin will be a mass adoption from many people because they see that bitcoin can give a solution for having the investment so I think they will learn more about bitcoin before they use their money to buy bitcoin. they attracting into bitcoin because, in the last year, they see the price can increase more than $19k and this makes them curious about bitcoin. and perhaps, after this long time of the downtrends, the price can get up higher again so people who already invest their money in bitcoin will make a lot of money.
