Author has Cardano, Encrypgen, and Zcash as his top 3.

1. Ethereum: The de-facto platform for smart contract applications and subsequently the second largest cryptocurrency based off market-cap.
2. Neo: Similar platform for applications such as Ethereum however is targeted towards the Asian market and has significant ICO’s already in the works for 2018.
3. Cardano: This is a long term hold. Cardano can be viewed as a third generation cryptocurrency with first being Bitcoin and second being Ethereum.

I believe that the first three coins in 2018 will be bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple.

1 place is certainly bitcoin. This is digital gold. The basis of the basics.
2 place - ETH - very much on this platform already works projects and plans to be created. Especially this year should come to an important technical update.
3rd place - NEO - this platform is developing very quickly. China will soon catch up with ETH.

For my top 3 cryptos for 2018 I have Bitcoin, Ethereum and IOTA.  I think the top ten will remain in tack for the remainder of this year and enjoy most of the gains. 

Top 3 for me are:

1) Bitcoin - Clearly the king of crypto right now and the safest coin to be in.  I expect to see this trading by 20k at year end

2) Encrypgen (DNA) - Only a $4 mil market cap at the moment but it has catalysts that are imminent.  Launch of the Gene-Chain by Q3.  It's a utility token so I expect to see the value jump dramatically once researchers are able to use the platform.  I wouldn't be shocked at all if it moons.

3) OmiseGO (OMG) - Hasn't been trading well of late but I'm a big believer in the team and project.  Really strong long-term hold.

Number 1: Bitcoin - It's the king.  Nothing moves without it. 

Number 2: Ethereum - Probably the most used coin.  I use this coin daily and love it. 

Number 3: STK - 5 year deal with Mastercard.  Beta testing and cards going out now.  .02 cents with a minimal market cap.  CEO came from Mastercard.  This one has 20x-50x all over it.

1. Litecoin
2. Stellar
3. Ethereum

Without any doubt, Bitcoin is the first choice. So in my list the first place take by Bitcoin where second and third place goes to Ethereum and NEO. Second place for ethereum is clear because it is second largest cryptocurrency. Choosing NEO at third place is bit difficult for me because I also believe that Litecoin should be in the list of top 3 in 2018.

Top three cryptos for me are Bitcoin, Etherium, and Tron.

the three best coins in 2018 for me is 1 Ethereum. 2 NEO. 3 TRX. I think that they are the most promising

I have monitored some coins this year I have seen that they have potentials and to me they are my coin of the this year. They are Hollywood coin, REMME and Doca

Top 3 for me without mentioning Bitcoin (Because it's King) and always will be.

1) Ethereum (ETH) - It's the Queen of crypto. Bitcoin = Gold, Ethereum = Silver, both are here to stay and nothing is even close to change anything about that. I expect ETH to trade around $1000- $2000 at EOY.
 
2) OmiseGO (OMG) - Team is solid, profits on this will be stunning! I expect OMG to trade at around $30- $50 at EOY.

3) Encrypgen (DNA) - One of the most undervalued utility token in crypto (current market cap only 4m). It's the first genomic data marketplace in the world. The launch of the Genechain is planned in Q3 (mid-Aug). Once researchers will be able to buy DNA data using the DNA token, the value of this token will skyrocket. I expect DNA to trade around $2- $5 at EOY.

WAN, REQ, ZRX, ARK, KNC, NEO, ZEC, ADA, DNT

1. Bitcoin
2. Eth
3. IOTA

Like your list a lot, think most of those are going to be big winners.  DNA probably the biggest winner for 2018.

There are many good projects coming in 2018 so it is hard to say which one to pick but always try to pick after proper research.

Some of my favourites are Orvium,Zilliqa,NUcleus vision,Cybermiles and some more.

1) Definitely bitcoin, its location is unchanged.
2) Ethereum (if they can get a new version)
3) NEO (China ethereum)

Everyone has different predictions about good coins this year, but I still believe Bitcoin is the best coin with the highest value, the number two is Ethereum. Ethereum is a very popular altcoin and much enjoyed by the public, because of its smart contract and transaction speed. For the number three I choose BCH, Coins that have the second highest value after this Bitcoin, I think worthy of being crowned as the best coin of the year.

many altcoins are on the market today, I think the best Altcoin in 2018 is Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple, these 3 altcoins can not be defeated by any altcoin, whatever your reasons and data, these facts and data are indisputable.

For me, the top 3 cryptoin 2018 wll be the btcoin, ethereum and litecoin. Those are recently well known alts in crypto market

Why these articles doesn't highlight bitcoin although they know that it is a safe bet?  Number 1 must be bitcoin and the rest just follow it with some good altcoins.

1. Bitcoin BTC

2. Ethereum ETH

3. Ripple XRP
Ripple seemingly came out of nowhere towards the end of 2017, when it briefly shot past Ethereum and then settled in third place in January 2018. Despite appearing to be a competitor to bitcoin, Ripple serves a different purpose and is in fact a centralised transaction network used by banks for money transfers just like SWIFT.Money sent on the Ripple network is converted into the XRP token on one end and then back into the currency of choice at the other end.
Ripple’s management are certain that XRP offers a faster and reliable alternative to other tokens like bitcoin.
On Monday, Ripple’s overall value on CoinMarketCap was around $52billion (£36.9billion).

I am all for VEN, NEO and ICX to go over their previous ath again :). Don't care that much for Bitcoin, not overly fond of Ethereum either. Of those mentioned in the article I only have a nice portion of ADA....for the very long run....but we'll see :).

For me the top crypto this 2018 is ethereum,Eos and Bitcoin. Because they keep improving and actually increasing their price as time goes by. Eos is the number one coin in china, bitcoin is still the number one coin international and ethereum follows the price of bitcoin.

current top 3 crypto for 2018 is bitcoin, ethereum and ripple. they top because many people own them. but in terms of gaining profit i go for bitcoin and cast aside eth and ripple.

three coin which I think is good among the other coin is bitcoin, ethereum, and ripple. In addition to this coin is indeed occupy the top three positions in the [cryptocurrency market cap, third coin is potentially very good for growing and these stages construct in the future.

ADA - crypto with most complicated WhitePaper and technology
NEO and NEO based tokens, like SpotCoin and Asura Coin - Most cheap and stable blockchain network
EOS -  most ambitious project with the best marketing.

EOS, ADA, TRX these coins have the most serious potential and interesting technology. I recommend to look at them.

I always believe that cardano is one of the coins that has the potential to reach the moon, cardano is my favorite coin to date, many speculations are popping up now about cardano that has good future potential, I hope it all really happened.

Bitcoin and Eth are certainly possible. Ripple is not sure ... For me Ripple will be difficult to go further. Ripple has been dump since January and still no signs of pump. Can ripple be top3 on coinmarketcap but for me top3 is Dash ::)

My Choice top 3 cryptos for 2018
1.ETHEREUM (ETH)
2.RIPPLE (XRP)
3.BITCOIN (BTC)

Top three for me this year is EOS, Cardano and Bitcoin. It is these coins, I'm sure, that will bring a big profit in 2018.

Right now the top 3 is BTC ETH and XRP. And I believe it will stay the same for this year. There is no way right now for any other alternative coins out there to overtake these three cryptocurrency giants.

It seems to me that this year was very often talked about the WanChain project as well as the Zilliqa project and the Zippie project, I'm not talking about the projects that we all know with you. I mean those projects that are usually recommended for purchases.

Making choice for which top three might be tough because all can give you different investment value. For stability ETH, bitcoin and Eos can do well. But for investment gain cardano, ripple and ncash.

after I see the big 100 list on the coinmarketcap between 3 coins that have stability and tend to go down are MONERO, Vechain and binance coin,
this is a coin that has a high potential in my personal opinion

I think more stable ethereum, crypterium and cardano,
maybe tron can get in the list, it's 4 coins that I think is good in this year

In my opinion, BTC is the first one. The second place is ETH. The third place is NEO. In addition, I believe that many public chains are very competitive.

What is on the top of the coinmarketcap will remain on the top this year. Since there is no problem with the current top 3 cryptocurreny, most likely they will remain on top till the end of this year. It will all depend on the development and how will the developers of each project deliver this developments on time.

For long term hold I am all in on Bitcoin, Stellar, and Cardano.
Zcash for the Supernodes
Short term I am currently in Powerledger, Tron, Modum, Ox.

I think it's because Bitcoin is already known by a good amount of people who read cryptocurrency articles.  A super promising coin like Encrypgen is still undiscovered so it's important to write about it.

For me top three coins are:

1. Ethereum - I believe it becomes one of most used coins in future, thank for ICO industry.
2. Stellar - it is stable coin, with big grows potential, some analytics predict grow up to two times till end of this year.
3. Ripple - it is is Stellar Lumens sister coin and grow very similar to Stellar.

I would make such a top:
1. Bitcoin (BTC). He is not going to take positions yet, and long-term forecasts say that the price will increase.
2. Ethereum (ETH). Very popular crypto currency. According to expert forecasts, this year it will only grow - in many respects due to various technical solutions.
3. Ripple (XRP). While not very expensive crypto currency, but in the long run it will certainly show good growth.

The top three coins in the market are Bitcoin, the second is Ethereum, and the third is Bitcoin cash.
Because I personally invested in these three coins. I think it is profitable. And I believe they won't let me down.

If I had to determine the top 3 coins by 2018 I would choose bitcoin, ethereum, and neo,

it is now hard to predict the top crypto of the year, as many of the prospects are good at the beginning but very different when it comes to the final stage.
