I've been involved with crypto investments, ICO Airdrops and bounty programs, I have a couple of tokens which anyone can call shitcoins, but looking at the crypto space in few years from now (say 5 years) would it be right to say that some shitcoins would eventually turn to something huge for instance Dogecoin (Doge), NETKOIN (NTK), Obitanchain(OBTC) and the rest?

It depends on how good each and every project is. Some coins may get attention, but it's hard to tell which of your coins will succeed. And the success may also be "moon" for some and limited (under one cent) for others.

You wrote about Dogecoin. I hoped, long years ago, that Dogecoin will reach one cent. Then I learnt and moved away. Meanwhile Bitcoin grew a lot, but Dogecoin has mostly fallen afaik. Why? Because Dogecoin, while it's an interesting idea, while it's great for fast exchange or learning, it's inflationary - the supply grows too much and continuously - making the coin more and more worthless.

We all believe in the bright future of the Crypto-currency, and we hope that our altcoins will grow like bitcoins. But you need to choose a promising altcoins with a progressive idea.

it depend on the effort of project team members and community. best example is XVG. ones it was 1 sat coin. then passed 1000 sats. but in five years im expecting minimum 10 trillion marketcap in crypto market

Everything depends on how well the project turned out to be of high quality and the team that did it ...

I believe in multi-trillion $ market cap, and a lot more real life use cases, either that or it's totally gone..

There's a possibility but it really depends on the adoption of the people to the particular coin. There are lots of coins in the market that are just used to pump and dump. No one can predict what the future will bring to altcoins, what I'm confident about is bitcoin's value. In my own opinion, 5 years from now bitcoin will definitely triple its price. At that span of time I'm pretty sure that there will be more investors coming into crypto space trying to ride the hype of this great technology.

It is very difficult to predict crypto currency for the next 5 years, if we look now and the previous year, then in theory, Bitcoin will be at the price of 50k USD. and at that time, crypto currency is already in use for real transactions.

More establishments and merchants accepting not just bitcoin but many cryptocurrency.
most country have their own cryptocurrency.
Facebook and social media will launch and use cryptocurrency.

For a newbie like me, i expect it to be a great success in terms with the economy , most transaction now a days involve digital money such as cryptocurrency, because it is more convenient. But ones again as a newbie, i personal would study/learn first before engaging in trading or any activity that involves in cryptocurrency.

indeed what you convey with your opinion is very precise and it is the development of cryptocurrency that follows the development of technology and progress of time and maybe it's the expectations of investors

Crypto is so unpredictable right now and you talk of five years! But seriously, go ahead and invest in the projects you believe in, for crypto is here to stay and any investment now is sure to pay.

Everything is possible. There are huge amount of underestimated projects but with a big potential for growth on the market. Earning money project team can make changes which will lead to the success.

In five years there will be only few real coins with real use and shitcoins like Dogecoin will not exist because why investors should invest into such coin?

First of all, it can survive for 5 years, then I believe its value is definitely high, and the development of cryptocurrency in the future is definitely getting better and better. And it may be accepted by the state, then needless to say, all the value of the currency will be greatly improved.

Yes that's possible but if the project isn't really so worth it to invest crypto folks won't invest on it.

OP's probably thinking when bitcoin goes up, alts will go up as well? that's the thought of most but some will do but not all of these alts will fly too if bitcoin skyrockets.

That's very rare, I seldom see a coin adopted by the community out of hundreds only 2 to 5 coins have done that, there are some coins that were pump by whales from time to time but a dead coin will always be a dead coin and investors should be aware of this.

There's still a probability that some shitcoin will become huge. However what I am expecting most is that more countries will adopt cryptocurrency in five years time. Also I expect that interoperability and scalability projects will be popular coins, and will make all blockchain communicate to each other.

I think we should hold some valuable tokens instead of shit coin.
Because the market will eliminate useless tokens, the ones that remain are the best.

During these 5 years, the world has learned about what interests people, the world began to integrate a new technology called blokchain. As for the tokens and coins themselves, a very serious approach to integrating new technologies and legalizing tokens began in the United States.

I believe that in 5 years most of the "shitcoins" will be worthless. The only coins that will survive are those that actually have a purpose - a real utility that solves a certain problem more efficiently then Fiat or another crypto currency. I also think we will have some sort of regulation to prevent the number of scam ICOs with no product or use case.  

I believe in the next five years, some shitcoin will become very good coin and will possibly be among the best coin in crypto while some will not be able to survive the market because they are not well developed coin and they also do not have good management team. But generally, I believe in the next five year, crypto will become very valuable and more recognized.

I am very optimistic about Ethereum. It can be said that Ethereum is the most successful cryptocurrency after Bitcoin. I believe that it will have better development in the future. I will continue to invest in it. I believe it will give me in the future. Bring huge profits.

If I had a chance to find out what would happen, I would be very happy. But now I think it's worth living in the present and not thinking about it.

We should be expecting more adoption of coins like bitcoin and ethereum but in five years, then we should all be expecting to see a market with less scam coins as most of them would have outlived their usefulness by then and run out. There will be better prices though thats for sure because the market gets better with time.

speculations for the next few years there will be no clear certainty. We will not know when that kind of junk coins will begin to be great or even became a coin that will be increasingly forgotten because many of the newly restored or even a good coin and large will increasingly gain the spotlight. We just take for example doge, this is an old coin that even up to now do not have clarity even though it has long existed in crypto. even the team of doge is not clear and survived until now because of the transaction. so don't expect if I think to that kind of coins.

If it really shitkoin, it is almost impossible to get this coin out of this situation. These are like unrealized projects that either ended up without starting or failing to develop. So do not be reassuring, it's better to find something worthwhile.

We cannot make forecasts even for the next week, and even more so for 5 years ahead. It seems to me that this is a very distant future

It is difficult to predict what will happen in five years on the crypto market but to my mind, everything is possible. Perhaps, we will have the digital currency instead of the standard money we have now

In the 2018 many things changed. While in the 2017 many were expecting market and especially bitcoin will go up and up. But things happen in the opposite side. In a couple of last days, the market was not good that much then also I have seen doge-coin doing well. But in another side when a market in the green doge-coin was in the opposite. I learn in the crypto that here anything can happen anytime.  :D

In my opinion, that over 5 years the Crypto currency will soar ten and a hundred times more.

Why do you need to invest in shitcoins? If you are in for 5 years then the wise thing is to invest only in solid coins, just invest in eth and btc during this corrective phase and after 5 years you will be laughing with the amount of gains.

This cryptocurrencies are gonna become the masters of financial system in next 5 years so we need to wait for the moment to come. Hence I suggest everyone to hold the coins in wallet itself safely.
If you have any doubt on the bitcoin's or another coin's growth in upcoming years please sell some coins after bull run starts you will be able to understand that, there is nothing cannot do cryptocurrencies.

I would suggest you to trade them for Bitcoin or Ethereum, since they are the ones who seems more likely(at least from my point of view) to survive the test of time.

It really depends on the coin. I personally truly hope that in 5 years some banks are already accepting Cryptocurrencies into their storage at least and probably more people accepting them. It's certainly possible to do business with cryptocurrency, if a seller is not really a holder or can't afford to hold - They can sell it right away and put money in the bank. The most prominent barrier here it's the mindset of people themselves.

From my point of view, if you invested into the two coins you will probably have more money than when you started with the big % of returns you would have gotten per year.

However, i believe that the brightest part of Cryptocurrencies will come in around 10 years. If things are done right, everybody who have faith will benefit and human kind will be more advanced financially speaking. This could also open the door for the implementation of other technologies, like Blockchain.
