Title: Re: delete Post by: DeathAndTaxes on October 11, 2011, 06:08:38 AM Without the source code no way to know. Maybe the owner changed the complexity of a hash between beta and release. This is why things like source code are nice to have. If CH ever shows up you can ask him because it is a secret.
Title: Re: delete Post by: bulanula on October 11, 2011, 06:12:37 AM Only the priviledge in the order of SolidCoin get to see the source code little one ! Joking. It will be released. Why do you care so much ? Want to attack it etc. !? Maybe you are the new BitcoinExpress guy or he hacked into your account etc.

Title: Re: delete Post by: BitterTea on October 11, 2011, 06:24:30 AM Only the priviledge in the order of SolidCoin get to see the source code little one ! No joke, that's the honest truth for once. I'm feeling Poe's law on bulanula. I can't tell if he's a pro or anti CoinHunter troll. Code: 1318314013: best=000000e834deeecab04c height=8805 (5) last ~100 or so blocks. If Coinotron (http://coinotron.com/coinotron/AccountServlet?action=statistics) lists most of the blocks found as invalid, who's controlling the hashing power that's finding a block every ~3 seconds, and is the block chain forked? Title: Re: delete Post by: DeathAndTaxes on October 11, 2011, 06:39:58 AM So I decided to install the client.
I am getting 2.1 khashs on core i-3 laptop which seems to be high. I am also stuck on block 8484 w/ 100 diff. Title: Re: delete Post by: grod on October 11, 2011, 06:51:24 AM Other data points: one guy on btce claimed 30khash/sec with a 9650 on windows. I'm getting about 15k/sec with an i7 on linux compared to about 11k/sec for tenebrix.
Title: Re: delete Post by: localhost on October 11, 2011, 07:09:10 AM Only the priviledge in the order of SolidCoin get to see the source code little one ! Joking. It will be released. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.I am also stuck on block 8484 w/ 100 diff. Happened to me too (got stuck somewhere in the chain), just restart your client and it should catch up. Block 9764 now, but I'm still getting like one every other second... That seems pretty messed up, although SC/CH is not communicating on the subject. As for my hashrate, about 5kh/s on a laptop quad core. Not really exciting. I still found quite a few shares (pool) / blocks (solo), but none of them were valid, new blocks are coming too fast... :-[ Title: Re: delete Post by: BitterTea on October 11, 2011, 07:18:08 AM One last update:
Code: tail -f debug.log | gawk ' BEGIN{ last=systime(); start=1318289700 } /SetBestChain/ { now=systime(); block=substr($4,index($4,"=")+1); blockrate=(now-start)/60/block; toofast=3.5/blockrate; print now ": block# " block " - " now-last "s (" blockrate " minutes/block, " toofast " x)"; last=now }' This version calculates the actual minutes/block average over the life of SolidCoin, along with how much faster blocks are being generated than they should be. Code: 1318317430: block# 9899 - 2s (0.0466882 minutes/block, 74.9654 x) Title: Re: delete Post by: DeathAndTaxes on October 11, 2011, 07:32:47 AM At the current rate over 1 million coins will have been mined in the first day. What do you think that just did to the value of Solid Coin 1.0 coins?
Title: Re: delete Post by: Lolcust on October 11, 2011, 08:54:37 AM Oh, any bets as to whether the guy who did it will wow to never release the rapidmined FlaccidCoins on the market? :D

What do you think that just did to the value of Solid Coin 1.0 coins? Make parity with Bitcoin as it is getting inflated at quite the same rate. 7200 BTC every day being pumped in and price falling way low. Yes, that is success. Bitcoin has pretty consistently been creating 7200 coins per day, so it is factored into the price. What's the target number of coins per day created by SolidCoin? How does that compare to the actual number? If BTC is a failure and SC a success, why are you selling 3097 SolidCoins for 30.7 BTC (http://solidcointalk.org/topic/271-wts-selling-3097-solidcoins-for-307-btc/)?Title: Re: delete Post by: grod on October 12, 2011, 06:46:06 AM Make parity with Bitcoin as it is getting inflated at quite the same rate. 7200 BTC every day being pumped in and price falling way low. High bid .0031. Stick a fork in this one, it's done. Sad thing is that lowest bid is now down 20% from when he posted. The ASK is down to 0.03BTC with only 30BTC market depth. Title: Re: delete Post by: grod on October 12, 2011, 06:52:04 AM But someone is desperately trying to prop them up. Now bidding .006 BTC per SC, with the next highest bid at .0031. Could that possibly be any more transparent or any more amateur? 2.4 BTC worth. ::)

Title: Re: delete Post by: grod on October 12, 2011, 07:12:08 AM He could have bought from the ask side for .0088. As you say, even .00001 SC would have painted that chart. No, I just think that's someone being exceptionally stupid.
Title: Re: delete Post by: DeathAndTaxes on October 12, 2011, 07:14:57 AM Good point.
Title: Re: delete Post by: grod on October 12, 2011, 07:24:53 AM Example:
12.10.11 11:03 Buy 0.00849 0.1 0.000849 That's right, someone bought .1 tenebrix to paint the chart and make it look like it's trending up. It works, there's no way to see volume after it scrolls off the trade history. These tiny, insignificant exchanges are tailor made for siphoning BTC from greedy and stupid shitcoin speculators. |
