As for OP, You'll have to start all over again by creating a new ETH wallet and use it henceforth for all your activities on Ethereum blockchain. Also ensure you safeguard your new mew private key. I have read somewhere in this forum of someone offering recovery of the Private Keys but am not sure if the service is really genuine or just out there trying to squeeze some money form willing victims. Now, having said that, this is the best reason why we have to be careful and be responsible for the PK as losing it means you just said goodbye to all coins and tokens inside the wallet. If you write down the paper, remember where you stored the document. And if you store on the laptop, the search will become much more leisurely.

The only possible thing for you to open your wallet through use your keystore file and then just open that with your password and then it should be very easy for you to do that dude. You have to read these things about security when you make a new wallet. If you don't have backup file and you don't remember the password from that file then there is no way. It's very sad but it's true. If you new and not familiar with wallets, choose metamask for convenience(not huge sums) and hard wallets for storing long term offline. As for mobile and web wallets they have a lot of security issues, be careful.

If you lost it, Then you will never use your wallet anymore. There has another Option, Keystore file. Did you download that? If yes then you can unlock your wallet through that keystore file but if you didn't download that then sorry you can't access your wallet anymore.

They, like anybody else, only have access to the information that is publicly available on the blockchain. Unfortunately, that means they cannot: Recover your private key Access you account Recover or reset your password Reverse or cancel transactions Recover your account Send your ETH or Tokens from one address to another There may be a chance that you saved it without realizing it. So, just in case: Do a full search of your computer for “UTC-“ and see if the private key shows up. Do a full search of your computer for your address without the 0x at the beginning. If you know when you created it, look through all files during that time period for any documents that may hold your key or screenshots. Generate a new wallet via https://www.myetherwallet.com/#generate-wallet and take a look and the different options you may have downloaded or saved. Sometimes that can jog your memory. In the future, it may be prudent to print out a paper version of your wallet and keep it in multiple physical locations. I'm really sorry. Very informative, I also have ever read about this thing when creating the MEW at first. i think that if we lost our private key, it is so sad because it means that we cannot restore it, isn't it? There is no other way to get an access with that without the private key or the Keystore / JSON File with a password ofcourse.

Then buy undelete software, install it on another computer, attached the hard drive and run it there. Hopefully the private key was not overwritten by new files after you deleted it.

If there is notjing in your computer, try to check if you have saved it somewhere else like on paper. That's really the unfortunate things that could happen to a crypto investor like you. It also happened to me before when my MEW's backup coundn't be located anymore in my disk. Good thing is that i already the cryptos that i have there are the cryptos i got from airdrops that remains sitting there for couple of months already but still not listed in the market. MEW is only offering options for a backup before the creation of the wallet but recovering it is not supported yet in MEW, IMO. Title: Re: Lost etherwallet private key?
