About Hilux

Hilux is a Decentralized Cryptocurrency which is catered to facilitate payments over the internet. APRIL 2019 MASTERNODE PATCH REQUIRED
If you look at your own Masternode status, you may notice that your Masternode is now in "Watchdog Expired" status.
To fix this, do the following steps.
1. Login to your VPS which runs the Hilux masternode. Type:

./patch1.sh}

Then follow the screen instructions.
In 6 hours, your masternode status should be ENABLED.
If not, login again to the vps and type:

A little about us :
We are working hard to build features and improve the coin. And only time will tell because we are here for the long term. If we wanted to make a quick profit, we would have designed a 'masternodes only' platform instead of PoW + Masternodes. Because in the long term, Pow + Masternodes are more secure.

Also we didn't do any early sale. We took the time to build our basic infrastructures before launch such as the Mobile Web Wallet, Block explorers, a working Github repo, website and a community.
As for the 'gullible people' you mentioned, not sure why would they be. We are trying to help provide an alternative Cryptocurrency for countries facing hyper inflation. Also if you don't want to buy an MN, you are free to mine them yourself. That is why as we said before we are not here to make huge quick profits. We are doing a community service.

Having the FIAT currency dropping rapidly on a country would really makes the people on a country suffer, and also the country itself.
And this way HILUX tried to fix that problem to create a cryptocurrency that hopefully able to replace the the current problem on the FIAT Currency.
I'm also hoping that HILUX will be able to solve the problem.

Again about scams, we didn't do a pre-sale before we ensure the coin is at a more stable state (more nodes, miners) and we took our time to Launch. If we want to scam, we should just do a pure Masternode so we will control the distribution. For Hilux's case, we didn't. Try coming to our discord channel. You will find that there there were people from around the world that had discovered us accidentally and started mining and running some masternodes. We didn't stop them. It will defeat the purpose and spirit of being a Community Coin. Ask them yourself. We didn't pay them to be part of the community. They would rather risk their hashpower on a coin that is not officially launched yet, than going for the lower risk ethereum mining.

And we are still actively trying to improve our usability. We still have many improvements to make, be it security, usability and user experience.
For instance, mobile phone viewing of our Block Explorer. Many block explorers out there are not even mobile-friendly but we took our time to do this. We believe that for the coin to be useful, it has to be mobile. Not just running the windows/mac wallet which is difficult to transfer funds.

This is not a utility token where everything is controlled by the founders. We are community coin and the control is within the community. Hence our presence is to facilitate the creation of this Coin.

Hi ganegani91, i’m Not sure where are the reviews but we would be glad to read about it if you could share with us.

Regarding ICO, we didn’t do any ICO. There wasn’t any fundraising. It was all under our team’s own pocket and we didn’t make any money. We are building a community coin and am looking at the long term horizon for usability and for everyone to have a stake in it. As we move on to find trustable people, we will hardcode their node onto the wallet-qt itself so that the seed nodes will not only be from the founders.

We will be greatful if there are some who might purchase a master node or two from our official site.

If anyone wants to provide their trading services, by all means go ahead as long as they don't scam other people by not providing what was promised.

Also we don't want to control the market forces for pricing because i believe prices of coins should be dictated by the market. Afterall, we are a community coin and this cryptocurrency is for the public around the world. We want it to be decentralised and it should be.

Valuation wise, in the long run, it should reflect the true perceived value. Of course in the short run, it is normal for coin holders to dump to recoup their initial investments. It is usually the second and third wave buyers who are the real investors and users of a coin.

A cryptocurrency can only increase in velocity (trading frequency) if the value is stable. So it doesn't matter what value the Coin is, as long as it is stable, people will use it to trade in their day to day lives. For example to use it to buy coffee or bread. You don't want to use a coin whose value keeps increasing to buy coffee, right?

How exactly will holding this coin help the economy of countries facing hyperinflation if there is no exchange to trade it for other coins or currency?

And limited supply just limits inflation of coins, but doesn't prevent the coin price from going to 1 sat.

I wish the best for this coin, but if there is no other utility other than to store it or trade it, most miners will dump it. Then having pennies worth of coins won't help any economy.

But the web wallet is a great user adoption idea.

It depends on the total number of Masternodes. For example if there are 300 ish total masternodes, it will receive about 4.5 times a day. Target Block time is 2 minutes, which means every 2 minutes or so, someone is receiving rewards for their masternode and every masternode holder takes turns. Hello. Yes you can use AMD. Just get another X16R Miner such as the Avermore miner. You can explore and play around with it. The latest mining software these days for X16r do not need much overclocking skills. Just run it at default and lower down the power usage if it crashes.

Hi vazan, that’s a great question. I believe they use shapeshifter and changelly where Hilux is not supported at the moment. We had given this a thought and therefore included links to 2 exchanges in the wallet : Hilux and Escodex which both allows trading of all the listed coins in the Hilux Multiwallet.

In the future perhaps we will make shapeshift available.

Well recently, many projects are creating multi-currency wallet which is a good sign, but I doubt about the security. Those wallets can have malware which may steal your passwords, private keys and eventually your valuable funds. So, when you use any multi-currency wallet, be cautious, stay safe.

APRIL 2019 MASTERNODE PATCH REQUIRED
If you look at your own Masternode status, you may notice that your Masternode is now in "Watchdog Expired" status.
To fix this, do the following steps.
1. Login to your VPS which runs the Hilux masternode. Type:

^{cd ~
wget https://github.com/swatchie-1/hilux/releases/download/v1.0.1/patch1.sh
chmod +x patch1.sh
./patch1.sh}

Then follow the screen instructions.
In 6 hours, your masternode status should be ENABLED.
If not, login again to the vps and type:

python3 /root/sentinel-hilux2/bin/sentinel.py

That's it. Enjoy the patch.

This project is one of the few remaining masternode project that continue to run its development course and roadmap despite the current market condition.

While other project is being abandon by its developers after the first sign of price dump, But this project remains strong and continue to evolve. I am now on my 16th masternode and will continue to run my node even though the price is not attractive at all :D

Hilux Multiwallet updated to Version v2.4.

Added Peercoin and UI improvement.

Steps to take before update:
1) Go to Settings, Show Recovery Phrase. Snap a picture with your 2nd phone or print this QR code with a printer or write the seed words down
2) update the app via the google play store
3) when you run the wallet if it asks you to Create a new wallet or restore, tap Restore wallet. Click on the QR code to activate the camera and scan the printed QR code from step 1 above.
4) that’s it and you should have all your funds. Keep your seed phrases or qr code in a safe place. The QR code is a very convenient feature to restore your wallet

If a project remains active, i think it worth partaking in it.
Hilux has given me a good impression about masternode coin. Fomerky, i used to think that masternode do not actually succeed. Although, some successful ones have been lunched, but they are rare.

the hilux masternode script at our github allows kultiple masternode installation in one vps. however doig multiple masternodes in 1 IP will result in POSE Ban status. that is why you need to add more IPs into your VPS.

2) Extract it to your desktop

3) Get a Hilux wallet
Get it from Android Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hilux.wallet (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hilux.wallet)
Get it from iOS App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hilux-wallet/id1471768523?ls=1 (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hilux-wallet/id1471768523?ls=1)

4) Run the wallet in your phone and setup the wallet following the instructions. Then copy a Hilux wallet address in that wallet and share it to your PC (email it to yourself or use any method to send it to your computer)

5) Go to your PC's desktop where you extracted the ZIP file above at STEP 1. Right click on "Hilux Miner - Change Wallet Address With Notepad Here" and click on Edit.

6) Change the existing wallet address which begins with "H" and paste it with your wallet address which you got from your phone. Save and exit.

7) Double click on this file Hilux Miner file and voila, it should start mining.
