Good to see members like you are spotting merit abusers now. I thought we were accepting these abuses as a part of the system lose and letting them to do whatever they wanted to do. I would ignore the merit farming issue, and address the fact this couple is a clear example of someone making many very low quality posts across many accounts.

You can review the cases on my topic, there are so many accounts that has clear merit abusing activities. I know hilari's work, they are doing fantastic contribution for the forum. In fact, hilari is one of the DT who I admire among the rest of the DT's I exchanged words so far.

In my social life there are no merits LOL

You can have alts, but you're not allowed to send merits to your alts. Now can you tell which accounts are yours, so that they could be given neutral tag. ;D

Are you related to cryptopussies? many people love pussies but they don't go around meriting their alt accounts. I would say that you are at least funny and good to keep you around for entertainment purposes. ;)

I say avoid the drama associated with tagging him, and see that he is banned if his posts support that.

He has replied saying the high level accounts are his "friends" accounts, which is probably a lie. I say review the high level accounts and ban them if their posts are poor enough, or have theymos look into if they are the same person or not.

I think it is pretty clear he has created many accounts with the intention of ranking them up with low effort posts, and selling them. This kind of activity is a problem on the forum and should not be allowed. (I would not have an issue if he was putting effort into his posts, and contributes to various conversations).

edit: actually thinking about it for a bit, there is a good chance there are more not connected via this merit circle. I say have theymos look into his current alts and ban them all if they meet the criteria.

Well if you want to ban the high ranking accounts you can do that as long as we are the same person but surely we arent look at the posting style mate.How i would sell these newbie accounts? not all the people creating accounts has the same agenda like yours.What if these high ranking accounts arent mine? are you willing to give up your alts ? or be banned permanently here?

Im not into bounty right now.Look at the date registered january ? and now it is august why wouldnt rank up these alts accounts ? i could have rank up with a member status in just few months but i didnt and please dont pressume too much.

Theymos won't look into cases of merit abuses. He nor cyrus don't look into anything related to ban evasion or even bot abuse etc. Even the people caught farming or copy and pasting on an industrial scale and are ban evading are free to evade on how many other hundreds of accounts they have and they do regularly. Meanwhile staff have to play whack-a-mole with the bots wasting time finding them manually when many of them could likely be found by a simple IP check. Merit abuse isn't a huge issue and probably shouldn't be wasting time at an admin level but the bot spam and ban evasion is. This guy already has a banned account and I'm sure there are many more.

I would put the names and the links of my accounts so that people will know..I dont plan using all of these accounts but definitely use some of these for spefic bounties twitter,fb and signatures but i swear if i got caught cheating i would gladly accept the reds you will give but for now just calm down i am not a criminal just a guy who owns bct accounts.

I know it's not moderated but it's common sense that you don't trade merits with your alt accounts, isn't it? Dissolves the entire point of the merit system if you do so.

I would not ask him to look into alts because of merit abuse, I would ask him to look into alts because of evidence that one person with many accounts is making many low quality posts. The appearent merit abuse is simply how we know they are likely the same person.

BadBear would often look into alts in connection with banning spammers such as those described in the OP, there are a couple of instances in which he banned spammers minutes after they bought (and paid for) accounts, which certainly should have discouraged spammers from buying accounts.

Look at the accounts if these accounts are spamming 2-4weeks of these accounts arent even logged in sorry to say i am not active anymore because i do trade full time as of the moment as the market seems to be very profitable with its current movements.You can enjoy tagging those accounts if you wanted to including the higher ranks,but think twice if i would spam with these accounts why would create these accounts and not use these at all? simply because i wont,spamming abuse look at the post history and dates tell me when i did use these accounts to spam.

The admins wont look into any alts for any sorts of abuses. People mass farming/botting should be looked into especially when they're ban evading but it's just not something they seem to be concerned with. It's this Laissez-faire attitude or lack of time to look into these sorts of things that is why the forum is such a shitshow and is only going to get worse. It's not going to be long before the only people who are posting here are farmers, bots and bounty hunters churning out their one liners if that hasn't happened already.


Occasionally he would. It was too much work for one person and probably why he just left due to burnout, but now nobody is doing it at all. Even accounts aren't being restored despite numerous people having more than sufficient proof and being verified by others.

I think most of them are from philippines, thier names or usernames are from filipino language, like "chikinini" in english "kiss mark". And "pototoy" this one is so annoying lol! In english "dick" little dick.

I think it really says a lot about the age and mentality of some of these people, as if Mr Creampie and Mrs Cumshot wasn't bad enough and the then the complete idiocy to tie the accounts directly together by meriting each other from those accounts  ::).

Its too bad because from what their name is they're from Philippines I am a Filipino too and the fact that they're abusing merits might affect the status of the Filipinos in this forum, from what I think the merits they receive is from a person they know personally and they're doing it from their alternative account so the more accounts they have the more merits they receive. I hope this can be fixed because more account might abuse merits too after knowing this event.

This sounds more like anarchy than Laissez-faire to me.

People making shit posts is a major problem around here, and there is no doubt in my mind that repeat offenders (those that are repeatedly permabanned) play a significant role in this.  It should be trivial to have automated reports that flag suspected alts of those who are banned, and an admin should then investigate and ban if appropriate.

It is anarchy. This forum is what happens when there's little to no laws or the ones there are are sparingly enforced. I joined this forum a strong libertarian, but my views have waned largely to how things work (or don't work) here. A community just doesn't function well by letting everyone do whatever they want with little restrictions or regulations because the greedy and tyrannical rise to the top and shit on every else below them on the way there. If you have an account banned here then just create another from the same IP. You won't be caught. People are being caught farming literally hundreds of accounts and they have to be painstakingly manually searched for by mods and admins are not looking into them at all. I could find and ban fifty bots or copy and pasters that obviously belong to the same person, but there could be hundreds if not thousands I've missed. Copy and pasters often work in patterns and they're often too stupid or lazy to use a fresh connection for every account. An admin would be able to group them all together with a couple of clicks if so, but it's just not happening. Nothing is happening and the forum continues to circle the drain in the meantime with users finding new ways to abuse the forum all the time. People are offering bumping services to spam threads with thousands of accounts. People are farming thousands of accounts to copy and paste content and get paid from alt coin bounties who will pay anyone for anything. We might as well get rid of the rules all together because they're really not being enforced effectively which is waste of time for everyone.

There are quite a few that have offered and/or are willing to help with clean up but is looks like that is not what is wanted. What else can be done?

Funny how the human mind always finds ways to cheat the system, they just cannot comply with the rules, they are desperate to bend the rules in their advantage. I have moments when I design signatures for ICO campaigns where a higher rank for testing purposes would come in handy, instead of asking friends to test it for me.
But I also understood that there is a natural way of how things go in this world and of course on this forum too, so instead of trying to bend the rules, I just try to work my way up and get to a higher rank with what hints theymos gave us for earning merits or becoming a merit source.

I know I will get there one day because that's one of my goals for making my life easier while designing signatures. Another goal would be avoiding to post in shit-threads that have 300+ pages that nobody will scroll through to read, I prefer to post where I have something to say, where people rather read the thread than posting their shizzle noobcake 1 line crappy worthless sentence, or maybe I just speak my mind or there is some information that I have and find it useful for that thread.
