Year 2017 was no doubt a very good year for ICO investors in general as they witnessed multiple increase in the value of their capital.
With that same expectation, many people rushed into ICOs in 2018 due to FOMO (I inclusive).
If you're an investor in ICO this year, I would like you to discuss your experience 'Has it been a Good year or a Bad year'?

This seems to be the worst year for me. Investing in an ICO at this time is a waste of money because I can not make a good return on my ICO investment and I will preserve my assets at this stage. Personally, I will not invest in coins this year because the risk is very high

How good or bad the ico will depend on the developer itself. There was a lot of scam projects at this year and there was also a lot of good projects this year. People has created a lot of money through 2018 ico called QKC, ONT, and many more.
And there was a lot of people are losing money caused by invested in the fake projects too and the correct answer will depend on the project itself.

Last year alot of ICO was give return more than 10 times just in amonth, and for this year many ICO was fail and the price of the token going down below ICO price. I think ICO investor last year more easy to gain profit than this year. But currently demand of the ICO still high and i hope all ICO  has protection for their investor, like buy back program and burn token model to reduce the supply.

I relied on the ICO this year, but no project has returned me even what I invested. We will have to wait a long time, because I chose the projects carefully, they must grow!

So far, this is not a good year for both investors and ICO companies. Still we are not able to see a good market condition in this year. I hope at the end of the year something special will happen.

2018, compared to 2017, turned out to be very bad for investing in ICO. In 2017, every second ICO gave x2-x8. Now 90% of the projects are traded below the price of ICO, after entering the exchange.

Until the end of this year is not finish I can only say I have a fair experience, some of my coins are going up and some of them are going down, this is because I have a large portfolio, until I see what the situation of the market at the end of year then I can decide if this is good or bad year for me.

in my opinion, with a worse market situation than last year, this is our chance to invest at a low price. we can get a lot of altcoins and hold it until the market will recover. and I'm sure it will happen.

2018 is for now worse year to invest in ICO because most of them after they are listed on an exchange have price fall more than 50% compared to ICO price....I hope market will change soon...

2018 is a bad year for investors because we are on bearish market now. So many projects are falling. I think the best year was 2017 for investors, even there were scam icos, they made profit.

Prior to this, much information was anticipated about the sharp fluctuation of the crypto market this year. And until this point. I think we are at a stage when the crypto market is facing many challenges and obstacles. The downward trend from the beginning of the year is creating many shadows. But I hope that Q3 and Q4, market will return.

We're a little over halfway through 2018 (so fast!) and it's been a pretty bad year for investors.  I feel for the ones who invested near the heights in hopes that it would keep going upwards, but had to ride it on the way back down.  Hopefully the market rebounds and softens the blow of their losses, as well as restores confidence for new investors.

i will most definitely be a bad year.

it is because the rule of gambling is applicable here. when you gamble a lot you are bound to start losing. and ICO gamble has been going on for a while now. it is time for the loss to become the dominance result in the market.

Most investors will say its a bad year but we can't say as well since the year hasn't end yet, investors gain great profits by the end of 2017 so there are still possibility they can get it this year, there are still a way and time for the tables to turn.

I guess its a good year according to me though others are in negation of this decision. The fact that major crypto currencies like ETH and BTC are at their lowest prices will make things better in the future. For example, whenever the ICO is raising funds for it then they will be raising at the current bottoms. Thus they will have X ETH raised right now. Furthermore, it is true that these currencies will surely hike by the end of year that is they will have more dollar value and thus this also spikes the funds that were raised for the project. This will ultimately create a great hype for the project development and who knows they will have better effect on their coins too. Thats why might be good year.

Though about 70% of this has already been spend and cryptocurrencies remain in a very serious bearish market I think it is still not a bad year and investors should not lose hope as this is an accumulate period and it is good we buy bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies now and makes good money in 2019 or 2020.

Compared last year, 2018 is really bad for crypto and no good news are coming out like 2017. I started  to invest in crypto only on  last quarter of 2017 and I was fascinated by the result during that time.

This is a very bad year for anyone who is interested in investing in new projects, as their number increases, and the presence of a bear market only reduces the value of the tokens that are obtained as a successful campaign. And swindlers do not doze.

I believe everyone can see how the ICO expects from the market. This year, there has been a serious period. Too many projects have been launched and failed.

if we judge from last year it made this year a bad year for cryptocurrency, because from the beginning of this year many cases that cornered the cryptocurrency made all coin prices dropped drastically, and to this day the price of all coins still cannot return like last year.
