I am considering myself as a beginner as well, even though I've been mostly learning from practice (cost be with some losses..) Which educational resources would you offer to your family and friends? For anyone looking to keep a tab on all the latest crypto news and developments I would suggest you to follow the official twitter handles of major cryptocurrencies like @Ripple and their founders like Brad Garlinghouse(Ripple), Vitalik Buterin (Ethereum guy), etc. Online sites like cointelegraph, coindesk, ccn, coinmarketcap, newsbtc, etc are also helpful. They keep publishing latest reports, analysis, articles and opinion pieces which are very informative. Join forums like Bitcointalk and get talking with experienced traders. Remember the best way to interest people in Bitcoin is to give them free money, help them download a wallet on their Android or iPhone, and send them some bitcoin ;) That excites people and shows them how easy it is!
