I'm always confused by what they're talking about and I found this article to be helpful (and funny):

Actually, my mind plays with me a wicked game: for some reason I’m reading 'Wales' (it’s a country in UK) instead of 'Whales'😅 Sure thing, I know what does this word mean, but I’m getting confused each time I see it anyway. |
