Bitcoin has dumped by $800 in last 7 days after climbing by $2000 in last 15 days. So, the current dump we're seeing is a healthy correction in the market and somewhat necessary as well.

Although, the next movement of Bitcoin will be highly crucial for current trend. Bitcoin, as we all know, is highly manipulative. So, only invest what you can afford to lose in crypto market. When do you think Bitcoin could hit $20K?

Yes, thanks to this increase, the total value of the world once again is close to $ 300 billion, according to Coinmarketcap.com. Bitcoin prices are still 60% lower than last month's peak of $ 20,000. Bitcoin prices and other numbers have reversed this month.

In my view, what is happening is resentment due to the bad news from ETF, which may continue until the middle of this month, rather than a healthy correction.
Maybe this decline will continue, but I do not think it will keep to the $ 6000 levels.
The middle of this month is the breaking point if there is negative news, maybe we will not see $ 20,000 this year.
Panic is not necessary for this stage, whatever news, it will affect in the short-term.

Can someone explain this situation in the previous 2 weeks - when Bitcoin goes up, alts goes down. This week bitcoin went down, same does the alts... Hope that will not repeat this month.

In my opinion, bitcoin will grow up, but not coming soon. it play between 6000 to 10000 until new money be injected into the market.

If bitcoin market is in correction mode than its good sign for upcoming days also price decrease is possible because of ETF rejection. but this will not decrease much because of Support area also we can see in upcoming days bitcoin will touch $10000 but invest only which u can afford and main thing when we enter in market and exit.

pulled their investment, before the correction got momentum. I say good riddance, because we do not need a bunch of short

Probably because of the ETF news. I think we will see a decrease for the next few weeks but will probably go up again and continuously for that matter until the end of the year.

As you said, there was a 2-week upward trend..However, there were sudden drops in 2 days..Maybe it was something that was necessary..I expect the next increase to be bigger..My guess is that in November, we can see $ 20,000.

In my observation, I think bitcoin may be going for a bullish market within the coming months but not on the month of August 2018. People should better hold their btc further while waiting for the recovery and if have you have some additional capital, it would be better that you buy more btc and wait until Q4 of this year since I believe that what happened last year would anyhow be repeated again this year.

if it is a dump then it is not a healthy thing. and if it is a healthy correction then it can not be a dump.

and I disagree with calling this "necessary" because a correction "drop" is only necessary when there was an actual big rise not any kind of rise. and this rise was a correction of sorts after the huge drop to $6k. we were recovering from that bottom not having a rally!

I also disagree with using the term "highly" here because things aren't as bad as you think although the manipulation exists in bitcoin market.

The decrease in bitcoin price was highly due to bad nqews and FUD going on in recent time. The $20,000 might not come any moment soon, a least not this year again. But am certain the market will correct itself,  the capitalization is booming already and that's a good indicator.

the short term speculators aren't going to go away just because of a drop. they pull out to put it back in a little later when the price reached the bottom. that is why they are called short term speculators!
if someone pulls out and goes away then they weren't investors, nor speculators short or otherwise. they instead were gamblers.

The reason may be is that the newbies easily believe to what others are saying. Many of the cowards (those people who sells there bitcoin, during bitcoin's market down) are pulling the bitcoin downward. But as per the real virtual world there are kore companies who started investing in bitcoin and this may be the reason of bitcoin's boost. But we can not really predict what will be going on next. We must believe to the power of bitcoin.

At the moment its sleepy bear time, he is not yet coming out of hibernation.
The markets are moving slowly but its an upwards move.

Those short term investors who are not looking to medium and long terms are alwats going to
affect the market. There are a lot of people looking to make gains as the markets move.

With that in mind the OP'S $20k is a long way off.

the trend that we have these days may not be exactly a bull market trend but it definitely is not a bear market anymore. it stopped being that a couple of months ago that price hit the bottom and started its reversal.
and you can not call this a bearish trend unless price drops below that bottom (go to $5k) and stays there which is not possible anymore.

Bitcoin has been maintaining its spot to stay in the headlines, almost every other day. It’s plummeting feature made the crypto traders stay in the corner of their seat. I think bitcoin will bullish.

I expect growth only from September and definitely not earlier, there is no reason to grow earlier. to regret

so far we have had a couple of very strong bullish news in the media like the New York Stock Exchange opening up a bitcoin  exchange and Microsoft and Starbucks adopting bitcoin. but we still haven't had that bullish signal which is going to be noticeable on the charts and in the price. but also there is not a shred of bears in the market anymore they are all killed and their skins are being used by the bulls now :D

I agree with you. This definitely looks like a correction to me which happened when Btc broke the recent $6k and $7k resistance too. The next BTC hearing being lined up on 10th of August, it might even go up again and start the next trend by breaking further resistance. That's just my opinion though.

Well that would be something to look forward to since an  approval of a bitcoin etf may very well slingshot us a couple of thousand dollars up. The dump is probably preparing us for that

i'm sure it will go beyond 20k but it's around the end of the year or early january.

Analysis on Bitcoin is very nice. I think Bitcoin will retain its quenching tendency and exceed 20K. There is more demand of Bitcoin in the crypto market. This demand will implement the target of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a flactuated  currency but I think it's not easy way to predict something about it. But who have a good analysis skill they can be analysis gently with bitcoin.

Because of some reason bitcoin price is little low from last two week. Last two week the price of bitcoin increase a graet amount. Hopefully it will continue in future.I think price will go high et the end of this year. I also believe it will increase more at the end of this month.

BTC will outreach $2000 by the end of this year I assume. Not only that, I think it will be possible that it reaches its double value. Though there were some falls, price will rise as regular and BTC will outreach its own benchmark.

we don't know for sure when bitcoin gonna hit $20k, but just believe that it's gonna happen someday. it is right that bitcoin has dumped in last 7 days, but if we see the bitcoin chart, the bitcoin price is increased than last month. and I think this is a good sign.

I think that one the regulations become a bit clearer, the price should approach the $20K mark again. Whether that will happen again this year, who is to say? I do believe  that the market is within a self correcting process right now. In order for Bitcoin to become more stable, we need solid regulatory guidance.

The heat and fire that the bitcoin came under indeed crashed the price and brought it to its knees. Its beginning again to rally with an occasional hiccup and setbacks. When the price will touch the $20k mark is still largely speculative. What amazed me was that there had been no news bad of Bitcoin in the past few days. But now prices are falling a lot compared to the end of July. We should find ways to solve this. If Bitcoin prices continue to fall, it is likely that the ETF will not be accepted

This statement made here is completely ambiguous. The price of the crypto cannot be tampered, just like that. The price gets determined based on the level of demand the people in the market has for it.

bitcoin to $ 20k if ETF receives bitcoin. we have seen since GOLD received eth 2008 GOLD prices rose significantly. so will bitcoin if it is accepted in 2018, maybe bitcoin can reach all time high

If you are conversant with the price actions of bitcoin, there is always a pullback whenever there is massive pump just it is being experienced, of course 'history repeat itself' the bears had taken over the market now however there is the possibility of the market becoming bullish any moment from now and this happens repeatedly like a cycle.

I strongly oppose the view that bitcoin is highly manipulative. Bitcoin price is determined mainly by the demand of this so manipulation is not the reason. Moreover we cannot say with surety that when it will hit such price but hope that this will happen soon.

In this uncertain crypto market nothing can be predicted. Maybe not in this year but in 2019 or 2020 BTC will be glorious.

maybe it is still in sideways with investors and traders are waiting for the ETF approval though there are some speculations that U.S. SEC would reject the bitcoin application. nevertheless there are still lot of positive news are coming from crypto market as more and more companies are openly embracing crypto currency and this may good for bitcoin as the pillar of crypto market.

Right now it looks bearish due to the consolidation. However, there are many factors that can help it to go bullish by the end of this year. There are news of ETF hearing to take place during the next few months, this will create a lot of demand among the users and if it gets accepted by SEC, bullish trend will start again.

It can go much higher than 20000. Bitcoin is like those small companies before they sold shares and became huge. We can trade Bitcoin already but those exchanges are nothing compared to stock exchanges. If the money that is being put into companies like Google or Facebook went into cryptocurrencies Bitcoin would have to be worth 10 times more.

Bears are not going to let go off Bitcoin in the nearest future. Honestly speaking, I'm a bit tired of this stagnation and wanna see a positive tendency at last, but apparently it's not the time. Well, it remains only to wait. The dip won't last forever, I'm sure)

as per my opinion it is just another bad face of the bitcoin market but I am hopeful that it will start growing very soon, investors support is highly required here

    Due to a volatile market it is difficult to predict the bitcoin price. It is very unpredictable but i still believe that bitcoin will reach more than $20000 before end of this year even their is a lot of dumps and pumps happening in bitcoin market.

Right now bitcoin is showing a bearish chart and we might see lower prices. But that doesn't mean you should sell of rather buy more if you can. There is an SEC hearing on ETF approval soon and if BTC gets the ETF approval we will see higher prices. I'm optimistic about BTC getting the ETF approval.

in reality, bitcoin on August 1 decreased. bitcoin fluctuations are very fast, difficult to predict and very easily influenced by any market manipulation. we know that bitcoin is difficult to reach 9K, and bitcoin requires a booster.

I think the target $20,000 is 1 year from now. The market is not so good, but it's still potential. Just need to believe in future and we can make it, when you lose your hope, remember why you started :)

August is time of corrction and the pice will stay at 6k and price bullish into the marketplace at 1st week of September until the price goes into become expensive, and hope 20k hit in the month of november upto december of this year, so watchout and see what will bitcoin hit.

As of the moment, the bullish price was already reached and the bearish part is going to end in about a few days from now. It means, the bullish run will start over according to some indicators and my TA. After breaking the price down to $6.7k, let us wait the start of recovering.

Look like Bears will stay in control for a while yet, we might see some altcoins get mini pumps from people pre loading up on Big bags for next year.   

Bitcoin, ideally needs to hang around this area, try and push to 10k USD by end of year and hold strong, then give altcoins a nice run next summer, let the Bulls make more Bitcoin to then kick Bitcoin pump into action. We will definitely blow past 20k, safe to say by late 2019, mid 2020 Bitcoin will be over $30 and testing 50k region for the Halvening.

My pro advice to all here worried about $BTC. Dont, dont worry, just Hold for 12-24 months and you will be very happy, to say the least!

Absolutely incomprehensible behavior of the market for the last 3 weeks, bitcoin is going up, then falls to $ 6800?does anyone know the reason? I hope the expectation of many that bitcoin will rise at the end of the year to last year's level of$20,000

Most say that bitcoin will not overstep 10,000-12,000 this year. i don't believe it to be true, we hopefully will reach a high of at least 15,000. that would be great.

after analyzing last few weeks i can predict that soon the market of bitcoin start rising. Though it is totally my own perception but i think there is a great possibility of this.

I think current condition is good enough. But I dont think bitcoin will soon be 20k. It needs more time i guess to reach that point.

The beginning of the month provided a bullish trend taking the price go closer to the $8500 range,after which the price decline got initiated as the etf got postponed. Now we could have experienced good price pumping if the etf have got approved. Hope the market will get retained shortly.

This fluctuation is quite simple for bitcoin. But i don't know many people are having much panics. I think it necessary for the upcoming growth because bitcoin will probably bounce back.

Crypto market is highly volatile, so these fluctuations are quite normal for Bitcoin. We are going down as the etf approval got delayed and it hit the market really very bad. If the ETF gets approved, I think and I hope that we'll see new high of Bitcoin, again.

That advice is simply the key. The whales are always trying one thing or the other in the market to favor their own objectives. That is why every one should adhere strictly to the advice given earlier. Bitcoin price despite being  speculative  is also manipulative so we better deal with caution.

The dip is still normal and the and we should be expecting 5800 area as next stop but the 20k will be along time thing which might take years to get to , we are in correction time and the weeks chart and month chart still have a bearish sign that will drive us long time to get new ATH.

I think the market will be bullish again once SEC make the decision on ETF.

The hype about cryptocurrencies seemed to have died down; with that, the rate of cryptocurrency wallets have also slowed down. Well that;s a good mathematics, some are saying that august is a ghost month , most of the traders are in the market, trying their lucks and preparing for the bull of bitcoin in the next coming months, holding some important and valuable alts also searching for the possible bull is one of the people doing in this month.

Maybe bitcoin will not hit and reached a $20k for this year, because the market this pass few months ago are not good. But hopefully it will recovery and bitcoin users will survive what will happen.

20k might be happening in this year, we will see stable grow when we enter September. Bitcoin etf will be approved trust me. If they dont want to approve it then they should just reject it on 10 August.

This is one of the more rational outlooks. Natural price growth because the fad is sizzling up and we are running out of people rushing in. This is probably better because frantic rushes up like that are not healthy for an asset. Just look at what happened to gold almost a decade ago. And what's happening to the stock markets right now after the Trump-gasm buying spree.

If we see a slow and steady increase it will be the best for bitcoin. Any more skyrocketing and it'll have another monstrous crash, I guarantee it.

I think that Bitcoin will reach 20000$ within 1 month after the approval of the ETF. Now all major investors are expecting this particular event, so until this moment the price will not grow.

2018 year of the bear in the crypto-currency market. We will not see good bullish growth this year.
