What are your arguments in favor of altcoins?

Both should be adopted en masse and complete each other, in my opinion. Because bitcoin has a huge network effect which will usher massive adoption but altcoins has features that bitcoin don't have

Altcoins because you can invest in it for your few money. Unlike bitcoin, you should have atleast 1btc to invest and grab a big profit.

Which features make altcoins better than bitcoin?

I think it's just because ALT is more volatile, that's why most people invest in ALT.
Most people are just speculators, so they invest in ALT in order to make more profit.

Though you can invest few money in altcoins, bitcoin adopters believe that it is more profitable, reliable and altcoins have more risks and don't have big growth potential. What do you think about this opinion?

Your profit is calculated based on percentage so whether coin price is high or low your percentage profit matters in investment. You can buy bitcoin also with your small amount but you will get a small amount of Santoshi but profit percentage will be same for big amount investors and small amount investors as well.

I prefer to start my crypto investment with bitcoin and slowly can move to altcoins because bitcoin is more stable compared to altcoins. What I know is many investors think that altcoins may give good profit they forget that they can even lose their investment even faster as well if a project doesn't go as per plan.

investing in bitcoin does not have to be a large amount, you can start with the capital you have. bitcoin is very good as an investment place because bitcoin has a high value among altcoins. there is a good place why you should be confused in the investment ?. do not get the wrong choosing altcoin to make an investment place my advice you can also invest in coin ETH.

It's about profit, BTC can't increase 200% in 1 month like many other altcoins

it is depend in you. some people want to invest in bitcoin becayse we know how much bitcoin expensive and if the prise is rise, it is very big so you will have a big profit. unlike in the alternative coin. but the advantage of the alternative coin it is more stable than the bitcoin that's why many of the investors are using it too.

Bitcoin has already a large amount so the percentage of profit you can get from it would be lower compared to having altcoins which has a chance of growing in terms of percentage but still depending on the market capitalization. Some would just buy more altcoins and then later on exchange it to bitcoin. The disadvantage you have with altcoins is that when it dumps, the percentage drop is bigger as well compared to bitcoin that's why it is a high risk, high reward trading when you decide to trade or invest in altcoins.

So you think that people who invest in altcoins just want to get quick profit and they are not much interested in the development and growth of the project that offers these altcoins?

why do you say that altcoins are more stable than bitcoin? Can you give an example of any stable altcoin?

Yes, you're right. Do you believe that some altcoins can become more stable and profitable than bitcoins?

There are so many people who would rather invest in altcoins than in bitcoin. We have seen a lot of persons say they want to trade off their bitcoins for altcoins. Even though I would rather not do that, I do not think it is such a bad thing to do. It is cheaper to get altcoins and that might be one of the reasons why many will choose it over btc because they believe that that way, they might get more profits.

Some people who missed the growth of bitcoin (since 2008-2009) hopes that it will happen again in some of the many altcoins in the market. This is why many investors try their luck in the altcoins. This is not a bad move, just incredibly risky...but in retrospect, bitcoin investors several years ago undergone same risks.

Why not both?
holding some of your source with bitcoin and some will get altcoins.
never put all your fruits in one basket.
make sure to have some on other basket just to make sure.

Like Fiat we never put all of our money in our pockets and wallet.

first of all, I think both Altcoins and Bitcoin should flourish and supplement eachother, Bitcoin has stability and scale, whilst Altcoins have flexibility and can try new things altcoins can implement new features wayy faster, easier and just more efficiently than Bitcoin.

I agree with what's said above. The only reason I can think of as to why people would prefer altcoins over Bitcoin is the short -term earning potential due to the incredible market volatility.

Despite of its high volatility, Bitcoin is the most reliable digital asset in crypto. Sometimes altcoins bring more than BTC. Thus, such altcoins as XEM, XRP, DASH were on top of the most profitable in  2017.

Bitcoin or altcoins - I do not make a choice between them. I choose both, it's reasonable. Bitcoin is a more stable coin. A good choice among altcoins can bring a good profit to your wallet.

Yes i agree, so far altcoins  are very well known now to newly investors  because its proven by many that it can be fun and profitable investment and the advantage is you can invest in a very small amount of money.

For some investors, they prefer to invest in altcoins since the price is much affordable than btc except for those alts that has a high price value.There are good altcoins with good reputation such as EOS, Ethereum Classic and Cardano which I think are promising coins for investment that may give you potential profit from your investment.

altcoin is the mother of all coins thats why bitcoin is a part of the altcoin or bitcoin is coins

It's for one simple reason: Returns. An alt coin can explode and go 2X to 10 X, BTC will usually be 20-30%.

The altcoins are actually better than bitcoins and they are really profitable. The ones I am using right now are going to have a great future. Prg, Eos and Xrp are excellent.

Well because they are pretty amazing. The altcoins like Lamden, Cardano and Power house are so good I can buy hundreds of them and store. They are very profitable.

I think both are great. I am investing in bitcoin + altcoins as both have a great potential and interesting use cases. I can understand some people only invest in altcoin as they're more (high risk = high profit) kinda thing.

Because altcoins offer more profit than bitcoin. However I would rather go for bitcoin because it is a sure market. it is a safer bet for me when tit comes to cryptocurrency.
