Just when the price of bitcoin starts going up and you start getting your hopes up, the next thing you know, it starts going down again. Sometimes it goes down at a lower rate than it was rising. It's been up and down like this since the year began. Has it ever been down till this time of the year? I was expecting it to rise by the second half of the year but it seems not to be the case.

Everyone has been expecting that after few months it will start recovering but it didn't happened. There are years before that bitcoin has been down like what where we're right now.

With this information, 2013 was scary then,  good I wasn't into Crypto as at then.
We all are optimistic that this downtrend will end soon and market will turn green for the better.

The market now is not very optimist. But I still hope the market will be better in the near future, let's wait until the end of August, when bitcoin dominants the market again then they will all green like last year :)

Don't be scared, if it didn't happened from the past we will not know that everything is possible to bitcoin. And look the current price for bitcoin, it came from lows to highs and back to lows.
Keep the fire and optimism on the market, we know that there's no permanent down but there's also no permanent highs in this type of markets.

You were right in your thoughts. Do not be too confident that by the end of 2018 the market will be pumped, that will never happen. Because of all the whale's strategy, many people have gone bankrupt by the end of 2017.
If everything happens so easily, we will never be poor and have to work hard to make money. ;D

Welcome, we can still be optimistic up to upcoming years and chose your stand with the stand.

If you think that you shall be good holding for long term, keep calm and see those years coming. Endure the bleeding market so you'll never be in such panic like the others.

It seem to be dropping as of the moment but don't be dismayed.

As i have seen in several years, the price goes down in the beginning then go up by the end of the year. So i believe that it will pump by the end of this year, still waiting.

I agree. The change is just normal, I think no need to worry. Still bitcoin is valuable.
I believe the price will rise on year end so just keep holding on.

"time of the year" has nothing to do with price movements that you want history of it. it is true that history repeats itself but not in a way that you expect it to. people aren't trading bitcoin based on seasons or weather! its a dynamic market which changes based on changes in demand. and we are not going down exactly. price is still pretty much high above $7k and is staying there.
we currently have a big drama called ETF which is messing with the market. as soon as it is resolved we will be on our way.

I think no one will tell you this accurately. Because predicting about bitcoin price is so difficult or almost its impossible. That's the reason no one can directly pass the judgment related to bitcoins price. Anything will happen in an upcoming period like maybe it will going to in an upward direction or it will go to in a downward direction too.

I really hope so, fingers crossed.

Any idea when the ETF drama will be resolved?

We can not make comparisons between this year and the previous years, because when it was in the past years did not have the pressure of the governments, to give an example, in the past years there was little heard about regulations, but today this word "regulations" has become very common and every month we read on some news channel about some country that says bitcoin is dangerous and should be regulated. The effects of this pressure of the governments and the banks are reduce the demand for cryptos. see the marketcap... you realize that are not entering fresh money, only people are selling their altcoins to buy bitcoins


currently the only chance we have that can create conditions for a price increase, are the ETF if they are approved, if they are not approved then in the next months we will not see very high prices

You really need to check mtgox hack times, without knowing the history of bitcoin prices you can't really expect to make money from bitcoin prices. You need to realize this is a long term game and people who make money even on short term knows their long term investments as well. Bitcoin price plummeted to hell during mtgox times and it stayed there for years before going back up once again.

It might not be that much of a big deal this time because back than bitcoin was this small circle of people and it went down to 250 dollars or what not and this time bitcoin is known a lot more and it is swinging up and down a lot more frequently. Lets hope it can recover quicker than those days though.

if all you do when buying bitcoin is having "hopes" for a higher price then you are doing it wrong. and maybe "investing" in bitcoin is not something you should have tried in first place.
as for the ups and downs, they are normal market movements. if you watch the charts in long term you can see it is filled with them.

check the charts yourself to see if that happened before or not!
and why would you even want to know that? it doesn't change anything. last year for example price has been rising nearly all year long but we have not had the same this year.

I think you are still in the denial stage. Bitcoin is very volatile so don't get excited when you see the price going up. Its only based on pure speculation and everyone has its own plan how to make money here and usually when people thinks is started a breakout run, bitcoin do the opposite.


2018 is different though, and I'm sure you are comparing it with the massive bull run of last year. I suggest you look at your investment for long term, and be ready if ever this bear market resumes till the end of the year. Don't expect too high so that you won't get disappointed at the end.

Yes, you are right. Maybe this year became the year of bitcoin fall, as if the crypto market had a crisis of confidence. I can only hope that by the end of the year bitcoin will increase, I still believe it will happen.
