INCOMING FLOOD. BUY NOW

Let me take the opportunity to also plug this thread (http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4761.0).

-----------------

As per this (http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4543.0) and this (http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4435.0) post, me & dissipate have setup a new site:

http://bitcoin.cz.cc

You propose features for Bitcoin. The front page shows a mix of the most donated proposals (10) and newest ones (5). Once the feature is implemented in Bitcoin then the bounty goes to the author and the proposal is deleted.

Think of it as an experiment into future methods for bitcoin based free software dev. Right now I'm just putting it out there to see what happens. If it grows then we can think about turning it into a bug tracker type thing with tickets, comments, statuses, assignment of tickets and search.

##############
For this to work, people have to know about it. Add it to your signatures!
"Vote up your favourite ideas to go into Bitcoin"

Wow this news had a profound impact on the market alone. Very exciting to have someone from Google on board.

The comments are very disappointing. Slashdot, Hacker News and Reddit like to think that they are smarter than 4chan but apparently they are not.

Agreed. And nothing is changed from summer slashdotting - discussion about same things without moving to depth or to new ideas.

I'd attribute that to only a small portion of people commenting, and the majority of them being new people who didn't see it last time.

There's a lot of people on the internet, don't worry, people are learning ;)

Most commenting on the internet is negative as it is easier to bash something than to contribute.

couldn't google technically buy all the coins, usurp the marketplace, declare it whatever value they want and basically turn it into a paypal clone? noo

No, because as soon as people found out that someone was buying up all the bitcoins they would hold out and wait for the price to go sky high.

Even if they did, they wouldn't get control over the network, just the price temporarily. You have to remember as of now there's almost 3/4 more of BitCoins still to be issued.
