Title: Can't get bfgminer to auto detect ASICminer, failover config?
Post by: Galane on February 22, 2014, 04:23:12 AM
Here's my configuration.

bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinex.pw:9944 -u workername -p password --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 --scan-serial erupter://./COM5

I can manually make it find the ASICminer Bluck Erupter USB on COM5 but that's annoying to have to do it every time I run the batch file. I saved a config file from within bfgminer but it still will not automatically find the ASIC. I just tried adding the --scan-serial erupter://./COM5 and it still will not hook up automatically.

I'm using it on a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop, upgraded with a Core 2 Duo T5600 CPU (1.83 Ghz) and 4 gig RAM (limited to 3.25 thanks to stupid hobbled chipset), running Win 7 Ultimate.

Just got the miner today, set it up on the CoinEx SHA256 switch pool. Was going well for a few hours, got a little CTM and a little UNO, until the pool 1 server went to never responding so when the pool 0 server loses connection it sits there for several minutes waiting on pool 1 to never respond. The inactivity light is on more than it's off. Worst of it is since the servers started acting up I've been getting zero payout.

How do I set bfgminer to give up a lot faster on non-responsive pool servers?

At least I only paid $12.49 for this gizmo, used on Amazon.
