Title: Best crypto payment gateway?
Post by: rapidleech on August 04, 2018, 04:23:59 PM
Hey,

I'm looking for a crypto payment gateway to integrate into a website, trying to cut out a bit of the heavy-lifting for myself.

I've looked at Bitpay and gourl.io & paybear.io .

is there any other Good & trusted service ?

Maybe you can try to take a look at Coinpayments (https://www.coinpayments.net), and you should think twice if you want use bitpay, AFAIK bitpay will use url payment instead of bitcoin address and only some wallet that support it, but i believe there's a lot way to decrypt that url or something like that, just in case if that people is new to crypto and don't know much about bitpay.

There is coinsbank (https://coinsbank.com/merchant) and coinsgate (https://coingate.com/) which you can use to accept 50+ currencies.
and spectrocoin (https://spectrocoin.com/) which you can use to accept Bitcoin, NEM or Dash. They've been running their service for years now but they have an issue here in bitcointalk. See their thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577176.700

Also blockchain.com (https://www.blockchain.com/api) (former blockchain.info)

Don't use BitPay. They have been trying to kill off Bitcoin's ecommerce side by changing the way people conduct payments and they suddenly started to charge an extra fee which is completely retarded.

Use one of the payment gateways as suggested by the above users or look into Coinbase (https://commerce.coinbase.com) as they have the banking aspect done right and might even become a bank themselves in case their license gets approved.

is this reliable ?

I would say commerce.coinbase.com (http://commerce.coinbase.com) as payment gateway

Interesting read on this travel site, who's moved from Coinbase and Bitpay as Bitcoin payment processor to an open source solution... great story here on alternative/open source Bitcoin processors for merchants, as Coinbase Bitpay have a lot of criticism. Maybe it's time we give these open source integrations a push, suggest them to Bitpay and Coinbase merchants?

The link detailing their success so far a month into using BTCPayServer: https://www.cheapair.com/blog/update-on-our-search-for-a-new-bitcoin-payment-processor/

Bitpay, coingate and coinpayments API are good to have payment in your cryptocurrencies site. I suggest you to have coingate which gets cheap fees and very fast in transaction as well.
Then you can see the dynamic payment address also with this payment API dude.

Bitpay, coinpayments, blockchain.com API, paybear and Coinbase are all options.

I would definitely stay away from Spectrocoin based on its shady past with multiple scam accusations launched against them. They don't seem to be a trustworthy payment gateway to use, especially if you were to deal with large volume as they may selectively scam you.

All of the payment gateways listed above are not perfect and has had their own problems in the past, which is why I wouldn't recommend a single one to you as the best. Do research on all of them and see which fits your criteria the best. And don't rule out open source ones as buwaytress said.

In addition to what other users suggested, there's also "Shifty Button (https://info.shapeshift.io/tools/shifty-button)".
- Take note: If you choose to use it, users from few states and countries can't use it normally (Shapeshift's restrictions).

Bitpay is a piece of sh..
It works only with a few wallets for btc and DOESN'T provide you with the address and the sum, only invoice link.

Try bestrate.org. They offer an ICO payment tool (the link at the top).
It's suited mostly for ICOs, of course, but it can be implemented as a merchant tool, too.
Fiat + 80 altcoins are supported. Everything is converted into ETH or USDT.

- Don't use bitpay, if I happen to come on your website and see you are using bitpay, I will disappear the next second!
- Depending on the traffic on your website, you should decide if you need a payment solution or should implement your own portal.
- If you implement your own payment service, you can save much on the service fees and also customize stuff according to your customer needs.

Coingate and bitpay are my favorite and most successive payment API so far as much I know buddy.
Another one Spectrocoin payment api is being used by the various sites. Still you want to use the web wallet API means also you can use on among that to have the payment with the bitcoin payment address.
There is special service from various wallet provider to work on it.

A correct answer requires more information.

What do you want to get? US$? €? BTC?
How many sales a month?
BTC only or other cryptos should also accepted?

There are many answers...

Hi there,

Try out zab technologies crypto payment gateway development (http://"https://www.zabtechnologies.net/crypto-payment-gateway-development") services that provide specialized and complete solutions by integrating the gateway with a multi-cryptocurrency wallet. Zab experts will assist you and get your payment gateway in a short period.

Is better to open your new ANN thread about service which you offer. There you can announce what are you doing and answer possible questions from potential customers. No need to post in probably dead and abandoned topics. it is not to be expected that you will find new customers in this way, especially not if it is a sector that deals with finance in any way.
Also, you should need to learn how properly to post website links, otherwise, it's just spam.
