Title: Seeking a bond holder
Post by: GreenBits on February 22, 2014, 11:46:52 PM
Im looking for a trusted escrow provider that I can post a bond with in order to assure escrow for the users of my new service. I contacted TomatoCage about this, but he never responded.

What I am saying is, I want to give you (the trusted) my btc in order to have readily available escrow  to back the sales i intend to garner. I'm not even asking for a rate of return (as is common in traditional bond scenarios).. i just want people to trust me and my service, and know if something is wrong that their equity is being held safely by a third party. I am not fucking playing; please don't come on this thread with that bullshit. I take my business offering very seriously; and I do not wish to divulge details about it at the time (LEST I GET BEAT TO MARKET). I'm actually quite confused why Tomato never responded to me (i initially wanted him to provide bond because of his prolific forum history + trust; either he is busy or this must seem like a scam to him) mayhap he didnt understand i'm offering him money to hold? that seems profitable and risk free. if I did not make my communication clear, my apologies.

To review:
1: I send you money
2: you hold it
3: i offer a service that involves money and accept money from users for service
4: if i fuck up (fail to provide service), you give the money to the customers to make them whole
5: if i dont fuck up, i get my goddamned money back
6:if you are smart, you will attempt to use my money to generate additional money. i could give a blue fuck; just have my money when i ask for it and there are no open customer issues
7: after ppl see that im here to make money for the long run ( that im not on that scam shit and i legitimately intend to get rich off my service offering, i will liquidate my bond from you, and i will pay you a small premium for your service (you had my money this whole time; i hope you were smart enough to increase it somehow)

this doesnt seem that hard to do. so i expect serious responses from interested parties.
if you dont basically live on this forum, or have extreme community trust, you need not apply.

Again I reach out to you Tomato, i honestly would prefer for you to do this

Anyway, now the offer is open to the rest of the trusteds

lol, no different than a bank speculating with my holdings.

i expect my judgement in choosing a bondholder, and the level of trust that they have, to be my "FDIC guarantee"

But seriously, I doubt an escrow issuer that wishes to maintain his community standing would accept enough speculative risk to possibly lose my funds. I dont really care. I just want my money back when i ask for it, in a reasonable timeframe. They can pay it back out of pocket. Its of little consequence.

What compensation are you offering to a person holding your collateral?

Id be willing to leave 3% of the bond as a fee for stewardship. this may be negotiable with a valid argument

I'd be willing to offer this service to you at a rate of 1% per transaction.

That means if you do something that requires me to secure 1btc of your coins as collateral, I would take 0.01btc for that service.

I would require a maximum of 12 hours for any transaction.  I'm online most of the time, but every now and then I leave the house.

I'd be willing to do this for the 3%, and hold your coins. I use a cold storage system.
