Title: How to calculate miner's fees? Googled info only confused me more! Thanks!
Post by: miragecash on February 23, 2014, 12:48:59 AM
OK, I googled it and the internets said that there is a 0.0001 BTC fee per 1000 bytes. However, how many bitcoins are in a byte? Electrum asks me to type in a fee but doesn't tell me how much to type in. So I typed in a 0.0001 BTC fee, hit "enter" and crossed my fingers. Someone please tell me the fee schedule of BTC charged per BTC sent through. Thanks.

I've sent shedloads of transactions all with the generally standard 0.0001 multibit default fee and haven't had any trouble.

Yeah pretty new also, i just payed out 1.07 btc to someone and asked for 0.0001 btc.  Well don't seem that bad considering what other fees are.
