ripple has big potential and could become the future in money and payments on the internet. they have a good team of developers and they have backing from venture capitalists like google ventures.

but one thing that makes me wonder though, is that ripple labs' marketing team doesn't seem to be doing enough to get the word out in marketing ripple. dunno, could they already have a strategy and think this is not the time to go full blast in marketing yet?  i really wonder.

and the ripple community is small.  really small at this point but we have new interested people joining the ripple bandwagon. although not that many, at least the community's job getting people into ripple seems to be progressing.

we have The Got Jed? Initiative set up for new people in ripple to help them get their wallets activated.

both giveaways are going well, though it could be better. hoping to do a better job to get more people into it.

While on it, could anyone also recommend which way is the best to get ripples (USD/Ripple rates wise)?
In particular, will a simple withdrawal into Ripples at Bitstamp will give reasonable rates?

for getting answers, i suggest going to xrptalk or the main forum, but xrptalk is better for questions like this. the main forum is more like mostly technical stuff and more for devs.

edit:  let's just say xrptalk is more newbie friendly. :)  no offense to the main forum. i go there too. but that's just what i observed since i frequent both forums.
