Title: Which altcoin are you bullish on, which are you bearish?
Post by: vy99 on August 07, 2018, 04:17:59 PM
I'm thinking long-term here (next 5 years), which coins do you think will still be very strong and which ones do you think will fall apart?

I like Ethereum and think they have a lot going for them over the next few years but I'm not sold on Ripple, they're centralized and it seems like everything they do goes against the goal of cryptocurrency so I think eventually people will desert them.

What does everyone else think, which coins will be good/bad in 5 years?

Nobody knows. Look at the coins that were in 2013 (top 10), only 2 of them are now on the top and you can hear about them, it's bitcoin and lightcoin. Our words will not be backed up by any facts, it's just a lie. There is no sense in writing about what will happen in 5 years, because everything can change in one day!

Bitcoin still become number 1 crypto according to market cap in 5 years,.and others all altcoins on the top 100 ranking is possible to bullish in that long duration. ETH still become number 1 altcoin because this project always has new inovation to make their blockchain better than others. Altcoins that to be bearish is altcoin that does not have any solid team developer and fraud crypto.

I am bearish on most altcoins because it is very clear that they have no chance while competition is very high and the market is selective but I am also bullish on some coins like oax.

I agree with you about Ethereum, and I can not name any more coins that will be popular on the market for 5 years. I believe that during this period we will see many new altcoins that will replace almost all current ones.

You dont have to think about the bullish or bearish trends if you are going to have the plan for next 5 years. Holding your crypto currencies for that long is literally jackpot stuff if you do really hold for that long. Why so ? Because in that much period one can easily see a product or service being getting developed to the fullest and also launched with full scale. Many investors will have their funds locked into them for the profits just like you.

The summary of this statement means that, you can pick any legit coins today and you will see minus 5 fold growth in its value in that much time. So go ahead and put your finger on any coin within Top 50-100 range.

To be honest, five years is a bit long, but I know that there are two kinds of coins that can stand up and get better and better, that is Bitcoin and Ethereum. I am bullish on them.
Most of the other altcoins are worthless.

I am bullish on all alts that have a purpose and utility - a real utility, not just created for the purpose of being a part of the crypto currency industry. If you can only get a service with a certain alt and that service is a game winner - that alt will prevail in the long run. Maybe not in 1 month or 1 year. Maybe in 5-10 years.
I like Docademic even though it has dropped a lot since their ATH.

There is no point in believing that in next 5 year Ethereum will stay as profitable as now; and ripple will fall apart. This market is changing overnight. New strategies are coming; it is getting accepted by many countries now; even new cryptos are also introducing. So; it's hard to predict the next 5 years now.

I am most bullish on Icon and COSS based on current prices.

I also really like ETH, Dash and Neo among large market cap coins.

I am most bearish on XRP.

I think it is ETH; they are going good for the last few years. But don’t know what will happen to them after 5 years! Because it is really very hard to predict which will be good and which will be bad. The coins that are on top may fall; again the coins that are in downturn may rise in next 5 years! No one can actually sense what will happen. Things change in one day too!

I'm bullish with ETH and with other altcoins, I don't have more of it.

I have invested to it and had decided that I'll hold this for longer term so I'm all for ETH but not for other altcoins for now.

I am most bearish on XRP.
Not with a centralized coin.

it’s an uncertain market of crypto currency where nobody can say that what will happen in next few days. But there are some promising coins like Bitcoin; Ethereum; Binance coin who have a bright future but coins like Auraracoin (D-); Comet (E-); Gulden (D-) don’t seems to have brighter future.

We have to be realistic in this bear market and can not create situations or strategies beneficial to a profit. So the top 200 of the coimarket is refence to an optimism and does not mean something absolute and also we can classify optimism in other currencies. To summarize it is somewhat difficult to classify a currency in this bearish market.

It is really tough to predict what will happen in next 5 years. The market is so unpredictable that nothing can be said with assurance. We never what will happen to the top coins of today in future. We just can hope that potential coins like Eth;Ripple etc has the same demand like today after 4/5 years.

I like Ethereum and think they have a lot going for them over the next few years but I'm not sold on Ripple, they're centralized and it seems like everything they do goes against the goal of cryptocurrency so I think eventually people will desert them.

you need to know two things.
first is that people only get in altcoins that can give them profit. then don't care about anything. they can be centralized, buggy, scammy, or they may not even exist in reality. for example i have seen people trade coins that are no longer generating new blocks, there literary is no more mining but they are being traded!
second is the fact that centralized coins like XRP and ETH have centralized funds to pump them and keep them alive. they are not like decentralized altcoins that solely depend on the community to keep them alive.  so they won't go away that easily.

Ethereum has been developed using advanced technology. That is why it has gained faith. People are interested because the price can increase at any time. Even if it can run bull at any time. I think it's profitable to invest here.

There are many things that can happen in 5 years. For the market like crypto, the five-year time can change dramatically. I think that 90% of the Altcoin that we can see at that time will disappear, and there will be some more advanced. More valuable coins replace them. For the current coins, I think the future ETH, BCH, DASH, ZEC will be preserved.

It’s not certain that which altcoin will be strong and last. Because there are ups and downs in the cryptocurrency market. The rate of the cryptocurrency is changing in a tremendous way. So; you have to take a risk if you want to buy or sell crypto coins. But; bitcoin is the best altcoin.

It is very hard to predict that which ALTs will remain in the market in next 5 years let alone predicting which will be bullish and which will be bearish. I personally think ETH will prevail in the long run. Also Ripple and LTC might do very good due to back up by their team and community.

I will not predict and make people fall for this trap. You cannot just predict what will happen in next 5 years. Even the world can get destroyed within next 5 years. Moreover; crypto market is heavily volatile; so it is very much possible for the coin that is on the top of the list right now to not even exist in the upcoming 2-3 years.

Definitely your number one should be Bitcoin. Then you might consider Cardano and Ontology. Playkey will be another one if they would successfully move to another blockchain other than ethereum. There are many others more and would participate these from the ones do not exist at the moment.

The market is volatile as we can see looking up the data back from the starting to till now; we may see many ups and downs in the top chart. Though BTC and other some altcoins exist in the hotlist for ba a long time; none can predict they'll be here or not in upcoming five years. We just can predict some. Ethereum is doing well actually as they are moving with diverse movements to evolve themselves across the world. They may sustain also like BTC; this seems.

I think coins with a very strong use-case (and I'm not referring to gimmicky use-cases that either have no real-world application or are simple impossible to implement) have a good chance of surviving through the inevitable "trimming of the fat" that will occur across the altcoin market.

One of the big altcoins I think will survive is ETH (due to the massive use of their blockchain for tokens and other platforms), other alts I think have a good chance of surviving are: Raven, Bitcoin Green (Bitcoin POS alternative), Stipend (freelancer platform), Deviant (hybrid DEX), Pac (very active community coin with an encompassing array of features), Apollon (one-click masternode hosting platform)

Coins on which I'm bearish include pretty much all the gimmicky coins. High ROI, tiered masternodes, all the new coins that are sooo innovative because they have "governance", or "ASIC resistant" or "ONLY coin offering DEX", or "best privacy coin".

Take the feature "best privacy coin". When cryptocurrency inevitably gets regulated by the government, do you truly think they will allow a possible avenue for tax evasion, money laundering, drug money, etc?

I think a lot of the current ICOs will go the same way. Gimmicky ones will fall by the wayside (two off the top of my head is Eloncity and Swachhcoin), while those with a solid business may continue.

If you want to watch it for 5 years, then I only dare to say BTC, because all other Altcoin I think has the possibility of being overtaken. This also includes ETH. Although I personally like ETH very much, it is still a long time after 5 years. .

my top coins for a long time (5 years)
Ethereum
Bitcoin
NKN
Nebulas
Komodo

All coins will not die in 5 years, but will only grow in price
The correct answe will be the bitcoin and ethereum because only both of coins can't be considered as security and you should remember that the bitcoin and ethereum will always lead the crypto market and the whole of crypto will be using the bitcoin and ethereum pair anytime.
NKN, KMD and Nebulas just speculation coins.

The coins I will be bullish in the next five years will probably be ethereum and bitcoin, most of the existing coins today borrowed an idea from them, so they are the ones I will so bullish on.

Coins that offer smart contracts, future of payments or something usuable. A real case uses platform. I bet on Nem,Ethereum, Eos and Waves. Please do your own research before investing on altcoins.

I think you are right coins which are smart contract based in my own opinion will have a great future and I will be bullish on them because people will always make contracts and having a smart contract which cannot be changed will be a great tools in the future, also i am bearish on coins that that blockchain is not really needed, there are some project that doesn't require a blockchain.

There is eth and bitcoin for sure. Those 2 are my favorites right now. I'm starting to expand into some other altcoins but it's difficult to say. Too many scam projects or just pump and dump coins out there. Gotta be careful with the current market.

IMO.
I think in 5 years
Bitcoin will become government controlled due to their insane energy requirements which is their greatest weakness.
Ethereum blockchain will grow so massive , no one will want to store a full node, and eventually this kills Eth and all of it's tokens in 1 shot.
Bitcoin Cash will suffer the same fate as eth, because the dummies added tokens to their blockchain.  :P
Ripple will still be here, but they are centralized posers, so no one cares.

5 years or 50 years, ZEITCOIN will still be running as it ultra low inflation and energy efficiently allows it to survive and thrive where others fail.   ;)

we can never predict in the future but I see ethereum being a strong candidate who will survive in these five years with ico and his new idea to bring new things in the crypto world. . not many altcoins like ethereum can provide new colors in the market and crypto

The strongest crypto is Bitcoin , in next 5 years i think the price will be going up to around $500k because Bitcoin just like internet which more people want to know about it. 5 years is too long for hold altcoin because in this duration the price will be going up and down many times.

I have been watching the Alcoyans for a long time and that's what I understand. The best coin is still bitkoyn, the second is the etherium, well, then went all sorts of names. It is very difficult to tell you which coins are better there than dogs or ripple.

It's true that altcoins and even eth wants to follow the steps of bitcoin to be a next big thing. And five years is quite long and many are seeing eos to be one like eth because of its own blockchain that can transact more faster than ethereum platform. I personally suggest to look for the top 20 coins in CMC hence research it first.

Some of the coins I am bullish on are BTC, ETH, Neo, Omg and XMR. These are the solid projects and I believe will be big the next few years.

I think Bitcoin and Ethereum will stand firm in the next five years. Because Bitcoin has a very good development platform (that's what it did today) and ethereum I think it's very potential.

I disagree with you about Ripple. It is much more centralized than Ethereum but it is much more convenient. It has not the problems with scaling or long time of transaction and it has bigger chance to become cryptocurrency number one.

I think that in 5 years we will be able to see such coins as Monero, EOS, Dash, NEM, Qtum, OmiseGo, Neo, Etherium, Stellar, IOTA, Zcash, Tezos, Acon.

Bitcoin and ETH have a decisive role in Cryptocurrency and this market is heavily dependent on these two coin. I think both coin will survive for a very long time and the investment at this time may make you richer in the future. If there is great faith, then consider now because the opportunity will always come to us in one go

I am bullish only in ethereum very good platform and smart contract and i think ethereum is the most reliable altcoin with high potential in the next 5 or more years in the market and even eth has ups and downs but it will survive in the future.I am bearish with alts that have no value at all.

After some time involved in electronic money I do not dare to believe it too much. I am afraid that someday bitcoin will completely collapse. That's what I did not want to happen. I want to make more money from investing in bitcoin. The electronics market will soon return.

Agree with you mate it's always hard to see the market situation these days. The value is drowning slowly and I am scared too. My expectation are higher and slowly becoming dependent on this. Waiting for my day.

I think you should be able to take advantage of all the existing price movements because if you just wait for sure you will not be able to grow the assets that you have, and you should be able to take advantage of the price movements of any moment to get profit.

Right now, I'm bearish on all of my coins except Ripple. That's one coin I bought when it wan about $0.03. It is sad watching all of my other coins suffer so badly, and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. I'm not so troubled though, cos I'm certain I have invested in great coins, and in due time, I will be reaping my profits.

preparing foresight by holding 1 coin that we entrust must have a strong mentality with all the possibilities that occur, the market or wave and even crypto will still be able to survive within the next 5 years or not. in my opinion the coin which is still very strong with its drastic direction and how many people believe it is Ethereum, even though it's hard but I believe.

Recently the situation has changed a lot. For example, ethereum began to show a strong decline, and Ripple, on the contrary, publish its further development, which accordingly changes the concept of development. And centralization is not a reason for further development.

To be very sincere, there is not a single coin that I'm invested in that I'm presently bullish on. All the coins on my portfolio are on some bearish trend. I'm hoping that soon enough, there would be a change in that. I'm hoping to see some positive trend soon enough, and I'm trusting in the system for that.

I'm very bullish on EXRN and XRP. The former is very under the radar right now and is in the development phase but if they can manage to bring forth what their idea, it will be very profitable. The latter is also a good investment sincd it is backed by the banks. Hate to say it but this is the reality; it gives profit more.

Anyway, I'm bearish on ETH until the fiasco (difficulty bomb, POW to POS, etc) is resolved.

I think that bullish coins are EOS and Cardano and Bearish ones are BTC and ETH. So bullish ones are cheap coins and expensive coins are bearish. Their prices’ developments show these results and based on them I have done this conclusion. Am I right? Or do you have other ideas?

I think 5 years is a very long period so I wouldn't choose risky altcoins with small cap. It's better to buy famous coins whcih have really interesting products. I think it's the best strategy

For now i have a coin which is stable at 30-32 satoshis.
I am very bullish on this one as it will give the world a great project which will eliminate the expiration of loyalty rewards.
A reward that can be converted not just in one merchant but many all over Earth.
It can also be converted into cash.

check for it... LOYALCOIN!

Top 10 coins are unpredictable in my opinion. I can only say i am sure eth and btc will be in top 10 but i can not say anything for others. Sometimes i feel i have some doubts about eth as well. I am not sure if icos will not continue like before i think eth may not reach again its all time high value. So I am bullish for btc and i am bearish for altcoins.

the market is paradoxical. with a greater degree of probability we can say that only bitcoin will be on the market. about the other coins to say something difficult.
