Just learn from your mistakes and don't do it again. They aren't really scamming you if it's stated in their website. Although it is stated on their website I still think this is a scam. You shouldn't loose any money using an exchange service (well, unless you do bad trades ofc).
How hard would it be to automatically return the funds if the amount is too low? Considering all the bragging about his coding skills that should be a piece of cake for him.
