Few day's ago was a rumor about ETF approval will middle of August. Today  Cointelegraph (https://ctlgr.com/6xzr) publish a news that ETF proposal postponed to end of September.  After this ETF news Bitcoin start downtrend again. After ETF proposal bitcoin was bullish. But recently due to postponed ETF btc run on bearish again . If ETF result become positive market will be bump instantly. Hope SEC will consider for approve of ETF application.

after the ETF "hype" nonsense bitcoin started having a small rise, it was never bullish. just as it is not bearish now that it has dropped from that rise. and it is not a "dump" this is just a market panic that was expected which has been the main reason why people haven't been buying bitcoin during that initial "hype" phase that i said. basically because they knew this would happen and newbies will panic for no reason.

It's good news that the SEC postponed the bitcoin ETF decision.This might help for bitcoin to gain more support and get approved,even though I don't believe that it will happen.I don't care that much about the current price,I hodling btc for the next 6 months atleast.

The second news is correct, as a second postponement and so may follow this delay[1], it does not appear that this decision will happen this year.
Another problem was that the market was thirsty for positive news, so the ceiling was highly ambitious which made the price rise by $ 2000, now with sales going back to $ 5800 for short periods.
The rise of hopes as soon as any news emerges will reinforce fears in this currency due to the rapid fluctuations and hence the credibility of their acceptance.
Overall we seem to be settling at $ 6,000 for extended periods.

i think this id the last dump of the bitcoin because if you know that bitcoin and all cryptocurrency is all manipulated so they are the one that have a power to control this so if i am you buy this last chance opportunity until the value of bitcoin is too low.

I think prices will rise again in a few weeks before the SEC announced the result of Bitcoin ETF because rumors about ETF approval are still alive, just need to be patient to prove the rumors, I hope it will come true

I believe the delays are the result of the SEC flexing its authority muscles and also shows its uncertainty over the safety and security of cryptocurrencies. Perhaps the U.S. will observe other countries before legitimizing bitcoin.

ETF not the new things it always there and postponed since 2013. But bearish market is real and people still fear about bad news which always easy spread stronger than the good news. People have to patience and market too both need time to recover

Exactly!It was totally expected. Panic seller newbies make whales richer than ever.

ETF hype made BTC market very influenced since last two weeks. BTC market dropped down because of this hype as well as market nature of volatility. I think, as everyone assumed it before, it will make a small impact and start to recover soon.

the only thing that ETF did for bitcoin so far has been more drama and a lot of disturbance in the market and the trend that bitcoin could have had naturally. as it was said before we were rising already when the ETF bullshit started and caused problems. I am sure that if they never talked about it or if SEC rejected it the first day we were already at $9000+ by now.

the funny thing is, the same thing happened last year too! we had the ETF hype which caused a lot of drama and price went up then SEC postponed it and it dropped and ... finally when they rejected it the price dropped and as the drama ended price started rising back up again normally and healthily.

I think this news is not true. Hopefully SEC will approve ETF decision. we have to just keep faith on BTC and hold it. Hopefully the price of btc will rise again.

That's a good idea too, Don't buy the news but sell them with profit, I think this is exactly what they're doing, First spread the news, Second fool noobs into selling their bitcoins for cheap.
That would be great if we could see such prices again, I doubt it. If bitcoin price ever touches that low people would buy them all.
Read the news if you don't believe in this, We all know that bitcoin ETF always helps the price to pump, It doesn't matter if they approve it or not, The news is enough to pump the price. I think they know this by now that the news of ETF is good for the market and they are using such opportunities to profit from this volatility.

It was a shocker for bitcoin users as ETF postponed till end of September. As the approval will take a time bitcoin’s price is again falling down and investors are in tremendous fear of loss. If the approval is given in September then the price can up again.

Unfortunately, the price of Bitcoin has started to drop again. Many believes that this is due to the delay in listing and trading Bitcoin ETF by US securities and exchange Commission. It is delayed till September of this year. But I hope soon the price of Bitcoin will start rising again.

The postpone of the SEC regarding the approval of the ETF was a good call. This will give some time for the coin to rise a little bit, make the market and the people settle down a bit and for the panic to subdue.

Bitcoin dumping as a result of the SEC postponing a decision doesn't really strike me as a logical response to the situation, unless a bunch of people bought bitcoin, hoping for the announcement of an ETF approval by the SEC to then dump their coins in the resulting increase of BTC for a profit.

However, as a lot of BTC price movement is determined by very shortsighted and immature opinions, I'm sure the volatility will stay with us until we have a larger influx of steady hands.

But one potential benefit of the SEC moving into the space is preventing "insider trading" on the part of influencers. Say, to prevent someone like McAfee or Jamie Dimon from making bold statements for or against something while making a simultaneous financial move in that same market. Although I don't know if anyone is listening to Jamie Dimon anymore. His facilitation has been a little too obvious.

And we do need to remember that Bitcoin can be shorted now, so there are big players who can profit from moving the price of Bitcoin down.

I think it’s  a good news. Because of the postponed of the ETF by the SEC, it might help BTC to gain more support and approval. And I think prices will rise again in a very few weeks. SEC announcement has to show that the ETF approval is alive still. Just need to hold patience to prove the rumors. Something positive will happen surely!

SEC prosponded BTC ETF till sept. I think some effect fall on BTC for this reason and BTC remain down for long time. Hope SEC will approve BTC ETF later and that should be felt very good effect on crypto.

After the ETF publicity bitcoin began having a little ascent, it was never bullish. similarly, as it isn't bearish now that it has dropped from that ascent and that is the reason for peoples not buying it in the initial hype stage. This results newbies are now panicking.

it is expected that the SEC  ETF decision will have a great impact and influence in the blockchain technology and most importantly on the bitcoin related transactions and the postponement is not a good one as it will further scare investors on the technology and that will have a negative impact on the technology.

I see an opportunity actually by postponed on Bitcoin ETF since the price of bitcoin is much cheaper now. Let just buy gradually while the price of BTC is falling because I strongly believe that bitcoin will be huge again in the future.

Bitcoin's price is somewhat low, but ETF is not responsible for this. Because Bitcoin is dependent on liquidity, its price will rise, it is normal. But I think if Bitcoin ETF is approved by secs, then it will help to raise prices.

I think we're in for a very long bear market if the SEC doesnt approve a bitcoin ETF. A watched pot never boils, and the whole crypto world is watching the pot right now, which means we'll need some truly extraordinary fire to get the water to boil. This wasn't the case last year, when the market went up 3x after consensus, because people werent expecting it. An SEC approval now would be strong enough to shoot the markets back up to consensus 17' levels.

I really don't care about their decision. i will hold the btc next 1 year. hopefully i will get my desire profit. but i think it will not happen.maybe it's a rumor.

i have seen the dump of bitcoin in the market.
it was a happy moment for all of the holders but suddenly change in just a blink.
we are back now. again and again.
i hope ETF will be soon approve and gone to market.
but there will be another reason why BTC will go over 20K again SOON!!!

I think an ETF won't be approved until a more conventional proposal that protects the investor is made. A proposal that will offer a plan for a system that prevents major price manipulation of the market. It is risky, though it could be quite lucrative if successful. I'm sure the SEC is looking after the investors best interests, so a small postponement seems necessary.
   In the meantime, the market will  most likely continue to fluctuate.

it is always like that ETF really affect for bitcoin price. but maybe now some people wouldn't really care about that, now they are will hold it even what will happen to bitcoin. it is good for bitcoin itself so not get dumped much

I don't get why this ETF news is so important.  We were just fine before it was getting hyped in the media.  This entire situation looks orchestrated and I for one and loading up my bags.  1 Million or 0.  I feel the risk reward is in the favor of the buyers now. 

if the SEC gives a positive response to ETF, I think ETFs don't have a big influence on crypto volatility. it might be a little bullish but will not pass 10K.

ETF is not holders of a bullish market, so it's stupid if we judge that ETFs will make the market bullish with the maximum.

we have to think about other aspects that can make the market come back bullish.

Actually it was bullish, compared to july. But there were crazy downs and ups because of ETF. But all in all, I see it rising. Even with the panic setbacks.

It’s not a dump rather getting rid of the weak hands. It’s a good chance to buy bitcoin now since the price is going down. We have seen bitcoin skyrocketing after every major fall. If bitcoin gets the SEC approval in September then we can expect a major bull run.

I think its hapens because many investors invest to the bitcoin with target sell it after ETF accepting and when it posponed they fasly cashout and invest to something other.

I think this is rumor. I suggest you to please take patience. ETF decision still alive. Just hold btc and keep faith on btc. the price of btc will rise again.

SEC prosponed till sept. but there still have some hope to be approve but current situation of bitcoin is very unmeasurable so it’s will take more time I think.

Even though the ETF should not hamper BTC, it still has. Sadly we are paying attention to the wrong news and it is costing us our investment. But anyhow, it is a good thing it got delayed and will give the coin some time to recover

I wouldn't call it a dump rather it looks more like a correction to me which was required because the hype of bitcoin ETF helped it to rise way beyond what was expected growth. However, delaying ETF hearing is good to be honest because in this extra time bitcoin ETF have the chance to gain more support and hype again to rise like it did last time.

But it is not all about the dump or what is going to happenb with bitcoin, the truth in here is that bitcoin is going to be aproved without any exception, sooenr or later

I really don't understand why people so worry about ETF. Market is full of positive news, but ETF is price killer... After quick hype we always see "dumps" because of panic investors.

What if that will continues until the 2019 year? :) For sure that could happen. And what if SEC is a main price manipulator on the market?

the etf would allow every investor to get into crypto in a regulated way. This is huge for the credibility of cryptocurrency in general. If we don't get a positive answer here, the total market will remain in hybernation for months, maybe even years.

the transfer of this event to September was very bad for the whole crypto market! but I think that in September they will take a positive decision, and we will again sleep in the bull market and everything will again turn green around!

Down this trend will indeed be very affected especially during delays such as last year which led to rejection. Hopefully at the end of September the decision can be accepted and we will find out that prices will increase

it is already a troublesome process to postpone this decision. This is when the market falls or the investor invests in the market. I hope the decision will be positive soon and we will all win together.

The postponement of the  ETF proposal to end of September did not really cause much of a drop in price of Bitcoin. The bearish move wasn't any different from the ones we have witnessed in the past. The impact we hope to see will be quite clear after the bitcoin ETF has been approved. 

It will ultimately be positive but I don't think that will happen in september so we will probably see a long painful bear trend.

Well i don't see any reason why it will be denied or postponed again to a later time but yeah, in the long run it will contribute a lot to btc and crypto's growth and mass adoption. Well if it does get moved again or denied, then prepare for new bottoms lol

The sec etf approval news made btc jump 20-30 % but once it was postponed bitcoin went down even more. We need to be clear that etf approval is not the only thing that will make btc rally.

I think all this ETF buzz is an avenue to manipulate price and put fear in weak minds. One thing is certain, this ETF will continue to cause price speculations which am okay with but it will finally be approve. When will this come to materialization is what I can't tell.

What needs to happen is people need to stop talking about it, because there are tons of options that are almost just as good as an ETF, plus global altcoin adoption will matter a lot more than bitcoin getting an ETF. As far as most people and businesses are concerned, blockchain is still not a viable option for usage or investments. This needs to change, a bitcoin ETF will not change that faulty mindset

Apparently, the ETF's approval by the SEC greatly affected the increase in bitcoin prices. But for some reason, the SEC seemed to be too stalling about it
