Title: Dispute on Bit777 & Peerbet Signature Program
Post by: Sonny on February 24, 2014, 11:01:00 AM
I have made lots of post for the last month (~2000) after joining the sig program, and I truly believe at least 95% of my posts are informative and helpful to the community.

However, the site owner (indeed the old owner) considered 90% of my posts "pure spam", and decided not to pay me anything.

"Sonny, 90% of your posts are pure spam, so you won't be getting paid for them." quoted from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=216854.msg5333714#msg5333714.

I want to know if we are having a common definition of "pure spam" here, and I really have no idea if solving other people's problems (from 360 seconds time limit, to cloud mining profitability, to wallet backup problem, to scrypt pool selection, to report spam bot to Badbear, etc) are considered spam here.

So I hereby ask everyone to please take a look at my post history (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=157320;sa=showPosts).

Please take a random check on a few pages of my previous posts (from page 1 to page 108), and tell me how much do you think my posts are pure spam.

Thanks everyone in advance.

Updates on Feb 25:

1. Thanks everyone for your replies here, and thanks for your supporting PMs as well.
I have sent casinobitco (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=37924) two PMs and two emails to support@casinobitco.in at around 10am UTC yesterday, but I haven't received anything back yet after 21 hours. I have just sent him another PM and email (with a link to this thread), and I hope he can read my points here, but I am not really optimistic about it. I am quite desperate now, and I have no idea what I can/should do.

2. I am still an university student, right now working a part-time job to pay my own tuition. So, that 0.4btc is a lot of money to me. It can cover half of my monthly tuition fee, and I really need it. To be honest, I was very very upset yesterday and can't sleep at all, not only because I was not payed according to the terms, but my works were not recognized and appreciated at all.

3. Before I joined the bit777 signature program, I checked the terms of different programs and eventually chose bit777 over Primedice, simply because I was worried that I would forget to send Stunna a PM on 17th each month. It now seems I have made a terrible and painful mistake.
I have heard a lot of good things about Stunna (sadly, after joining bit777 program), but I guess I will quit all those per-post signature program for now. As I mentioned above, I am not making money for a pair of new shoes, but to pay my university tuition fee. Thus, I really need to be 100% sure I will get the money each month, and I would probably go work a few more hours on my job next week.

4. I don't think leaving a negative trust to bit777 would be useful, as I believe he has already abandoned that forum account. And I don't think it would be fair to leave a negative trust to casinobitco.

(Final) Updates on Feb 28:

1. After all these days, I am still unable to make any contact with forum account bit777, and I have given up on that completely.

2. I have received a response from casinobitco on Feb 25 (slightly more than 1 day after the first PM).
Even though it is not his fault at all, he and his team are willing to pay me 0.25btc out of their own pocket.
I want to give them a big thanks for their help and generosity, and I guess I can call this a happy ending.
I just gave casinobitco a positive trust, and I sincerely wish him and his team all the best.

Thanks very much again for everyone's attention, help and encouragement.

I think they were very harsh to not pay you anything, and the majority of your posts where very helpful and informative, but you also did have quite a few posts that were just saying welcome or hi to newbs and answering questions that had already been answered and that's probably what he saw and stung you on. I'd say at least 60-70% of your posts were more than adequate though so his percentage is way off.

Think you have been a little harshly treated
But you are at his mercy so not sure what recourse you have

I reckon they must've just used this as an excuse to not pay him, especially seeing as it's their last term under that ownership. It seemed Sonny did far more posts than anybody else on that deal. Most other users did hundreds, where Sonny did thousands.

There's probably not much you can do unfortunately. Maybe PM the guy and explain the situation and see if you can come to some agreement.

Apply to sign programs paid upfront, like the one in my signature

I would not anymore try signs that pay in one week or one month, I have tried 2, that don't pay everytime

Is Prime-Dice amongst the ones you tried? Just wanted to know

The ones that pay upfront tend to not pay as much, and also don't last very long because they get exploited. Just choose a reputable one. Like coinnewbit says Stunna's Primedice deal is the longest-running and most reputable offer around and he's built up enough trust and community participation that I don't believe he would ever try scam anyone.

now he cannot PM him because he clearly post its his last appearance in this id and if any one want any support then contact casinobitco feeling sorry for this guy

No, I don't have tried this one, rules are not enough clear for me, I prefere something mathematical than having OP judging quality of my posts (that are in large majority in french)

I tried the RitzGrandCasinoScam  ;D and another that I forgot

@hilariousandco : maybe they don't pais as much, but they pay  ;D the one I do is checked and paid by a bot, no delay, no blabla  ;)

So does the other reputable one. Usually much more infact.

PM the new guy and explain the situation and see if he'll honour the payment, but it's unlikely I guess.

Today I have my last pay from bit777 and read about you its very sad I was with this campaing for long time never happen to me, I check your all posts he must have to pay you minimum 50% of all your posts now he never came online on this id which is more bad

Thats very bad. 2000 posts mean a lot of work.

You should ask the new owners to honor the pay as your advertisement benefited them.

Wow 2000 :O that's a lot. Checked your posts, most of them are ~5 words but still on topic and i wouldn't call it spam. They should've paid.

Sonny, I literally have talked to you on a lot of topics you have posted in.
I do not believe that 90% were spam. Contact CasinoBitcoin. That's my suggestion, as the bit777 account is now closed.

I just got paid by bit777 , I saw your name on the last post by bit777  but as you can see most of the members here are saying most of your posts are spam and yeah if you go through it , you'll feel the same , but i'm sure out of 2k posts at least 25% should be honored.

Contact them, be polite but show that you are determined to get something out of all your work

2000posts means 0.4BTC, that is a lot of work; I was very careful not to answer people just to say ''hi" or "good point" because I was afraid it would look like I was answering just  to get a higher posts count

I have Primedice on my signature now, let's see how it goes; I post anyway so I don't mind taking a risk of not getting paid

I wouldn't call them spam, but I chose a random page of your posts and came to the conclusion that around 20%-30% of your posts are in response to a tangent that is unrelated to the OP. Do note that I just read one of the pages. It is also only 20-30%, not 90%, so you might want to argue that. I have realized however, that many of your posts are one-liners, regardless of whether they are constructive or not, so maybe that's a reason why they are not paying you. Try getting in contact with the new owner.

I would suggest emailing their support email address, and see if they will help you out with it... Also, you may leave negative trust, if you'd like. Finally, might I suggest looking into Prime Dice?

Updates:

I didn't see that you'd been successful in getting some money paid. That was honourable of them. I wonder if they'll be continuing the signature deal, and how much they'll pay out especially with the new signature restrictions and Stunna dropping his rates? Will be interesting to see.

@OP : congratulations, you will be able to go buy some beers, 0.25 is about fair, what program will you join now?
You could join the 0.01/week one; you don't need to post much so if you post twice more than the minimum required you can count on being paid
