Few days ago I had an idea to build crypto social network with wallet. Main feature of this network is that balance of user will be public and all people will have ability to see his posts, likes, transactions history etc. (like facebook) I don't need money to implement it, because I'm java developer and have couple of friends who will help with it :) I just want to build MVP of this system, but I would like to ask you: "Would you use such network?" Well, its just a forum but you can build a facebook like interface for it. You could even get yourself elected as a block producer for doing this. Much money to be made there..
As for your own blockchain, I would forget about that. The community isn't going to be anywhere near steem plus you'll have all sorts of competition for users from other social blockchain projects. People don't like MLM. So don't tell them that you are doing it MLM.
