I have seen Bitcoin become a number of forks a few months ago. Like BCH, BCD, B2X, BCP, SBTC.

whether bitcoin be a fork again next year

bitcoin never "became a number of forks"! that doesn't even make sense.

what happened is that certain people starting forking new altcoins "from bitcoin". and it is over because they were creating shitcoins and at first newbies didn't know it or at least they never believed it but eventually and soon enough they realized it. and as soon as they did, the profitability of doing such pointless forks became zero so nobody attempted them anymore.

According to the website the next bitcoin fork is Bitcoin Zero (BZX) and the fork date is September 30, 2018.

from my site this fork is look like garbage. i will suggest you not to use this garbage. if possible try to ignore it.

I dont think it can be determined that which coin will become the next bitcoin fork. There are many factors relating to it.

At present, it seems that the probability of BTC as a new branch is not very high. The market has completely entered a bear market, and the possibility of another decline is very high. Too much uncertainty also leads to the possibility of BTC branch is not very high.

you are right, don't mind all the garbage around you because it may affect your belief. focus of what you think is good .

They will probably come out when BTC will rally up again . Where are the old forks ? what was the point of doing them .... I understand miners could earn some money and so on , but really what the point to make them like in factory ... Cant wait for regulations to wipe out more than half of coinmarketcap and leave just Legit projects , with legit people behind them ...

I don't know, I miss the fork that happened in 2017 yesterday. this really makes the price of bitcoin go up. well, not only bitcoin, even so many altcoins reach the highest price because of that incident. well, hopefully this year it will also happen.

Any fork is an opportunity to get even more from the main network. But at the same time a large dispersal of funds, as forks are frightened and you never know how to carry on the main network, and how it will be reflected in the currency exchange rate.

Times look near bitcoin need revolutionary fork to move like a blast! Hope devs working underground to sustain and moves up the market. Right now situation is very criticizing  :'(

It is difficult to predict when the next grandiose rise in the price of bitcoin will occur, but it is definitely inevitable.

Bitcoin forks are considered as ALT coins and to be honest, these ALTs have no value right now. A lot of people predicted and made speculations regarding how these forks will change the current market but sadly, it proved to be a bubble. There is a chance of another fork to get released soon, called bitcoin zero but don't think it will face the same fate as other ALTs.

Well for me forks is line Altcoin and this although coin it dont have a lot of value but I know soon the altcoin can have a value

Too many forks may weaken the value of bitcoin. Last year we saw a lot of forks, most of which were meaningless, many of which were made for the benefit of miners and project teams.

Bitcoin's fork isn't really an event to be expected or anticipated. If anything, people are just creating their own version of the coin, adding some unique and [/i]much needed[/i] implementation that the users asked for, or at least a few users at the best. Even though such forked version exist, consensus still remains king in choosing what would be the next best bitcoin available. Also, the way I see it, forks are created by different teams in order to grab some money off of potential believers of the said coin, and that, I think, is quite problematic to say the least.

Such things do not come with an announcement as this comes due to different situations. The market of crypto currency is very much unexpected and volatile so there is no certain news for any events. There is a possibility of such forking in the next year.

Fork is done to make changes on the existing coin. Bitcoin cash (BCH) is a bitcoin fork. The purpose of BCH is to increase the block size producing a faster transaction verification process.

Now, for the new bitcoin fork, what would be the purpose? Would it be significant enough to get support from users around the world?

There is no need for a fork until the need arrives mate. All those people who fork Bitcoin and name it something cool and call it the real bitcoin are just wasting their time in my opinion. The real fork was the bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold and the rest were just to drag people's attention and to make money. I am pretty sure there is no fork necessary as for now and any of them happening will just be for money sake.

I think with the present situation on the market nobody will rest to do that because it can just distract people from the main involvement in Bitcoin, and in this negative market conditions it would be negative as well.

Last year there were too many forks, all trying to copy the success of bitcoin cash. The following clones were just a waste of time, all shitcoins with no use. Bitcoin zero is likely to be worth about zero sats

now of course we are hard to predict. because all that is not true too, if we only predict it. we only need certainty in the development of BTC to date.

My apologies leeheidrick, but i immensely doubt that bitcoin will fork.

Bitcoin advocates believed that a bitcoin split will hurt more than it will do any good and to fork might be the last thing we will see with bitcoin.

The world of crypto already witnessed how ethereum suffered a fork, though the original ethereum did good not only in surviving but exceeded the expectations for it.

Many believed that to split bitcoin using its original architecture will simply confuse people and possibly affect the market strength of bitcoin itself.  Thus, many advocates of bitcoin is against this idea.

For me I just wait for further updates on how bitcoin withstand on the current development it has. Of course this will drag people's attention on the most common desires of money making. I partly agree that there's no need for a fork, because the demand is the actual results on how the price will continue to pump as well.

it cannot be predicted when bitcoin has experienced fork again, but if bitcoin experiences a fork it definitely gives profit to the owners. so I think this is a good benefit.

The idea of a fork has been totally changed in recent times, it is a resource to be used in order to improve consensus, but since BCash the idea is to create money from scratch, with projects that have little added in terms of innovation, the long-term trend of the forks is worth very little because Bitcoin is being improved and does not need a replacement.

According to https://www.forks.net BZX will be the next fork of bitcoin. I’ve confusion about it.Though many people are assuming it. Let’s see what will happen, but I always hopping the best for bitcoin (Finger cross!!)

I hope bitcoin will become a fork back, but who knows everything is only limited to analysis, whether bitcoin will become a fork or vice versa but seeing price movements seems like it will happen

I doubt it that there are people that will remain to stick with these forks. You'll hear people say "it's free money".

But to be honest, if there will be groups that are planning and intending to create another fork for bitcoin it's pointless.

I believe that it is very difficult for bitcoin to recover as much as 2017 and it will take many years for bitcoin to recover. Bitcoin prices are unlikely to recover, of course altcoin prices will continue to fall further and I believe that at this point you will only long term investment in bitcoin only. The market is in a very difficult period so you have to trust the market.

I think they will eventually be reduced now because it is people who create a fork due to the notion that there's a "particular identified flaw" in BTC and they're gonna fix it. But eventually all the coins are nearing zero and so people don't see the need to fork anymore, but well this is crypto, no one sleeps. I won't be surprised to see a new fork soon.

A fork can be announced anytime of the year, it is possible to have some forks in the coming year when the time is right. I think the various bitcoin forks has caused more good than harm.

I can't really say as regard that for specifics, but I it will surely come, possibly later end of this year, or let's say early next. Let's just hope, it will.

As per as bitcoin release new fork. you can not predict the exact date when actually become a fork again. Because this crypto market is beyond prediction.

I think it may takes more time to become fork again. As per they are launching new new forks. hopefully it will not take time that much.

It is good that this days we do not have else last year their where so many unwanted fork happened and just check where are they today. So even if we have fork this year it would happen the same way of what has happened to the last year fork.

Like any other coin, they had good hype in the beginning but then eventually died. This time though, it's the whales that have hyped it up because they know they will be the ones who are holding the most coins. In a way, it's really helpful since we get coins for free and you can sell it for a decent amount. I never really believed what they were saying before about the coin itself since we already have bitcoins and the fact that people are hyping it up for their own benefits wasn't exactly a good sign.
But other than that? Most people take advantage of the free coin but never really try to understand what forks are for because they never really felt the need to do so.

Exactly , even most predictions have a tendency to be off so we won't know for sure

Listen we all know that bitcoin is a volatile crypto currency and apart from that bitcoin is a kind of investment so these two two factors contributes a lot in determining the valuation of bitcoin and thus the flactuation, the ups and downs and pumps and dumps are very common in every investment and so does in the bitcoin but we can see that there is a very huge dump in the valuation of bitcoin in the last past 8 months but still there are hopes and according to many financial experts there will a pump again.

I don't think anyone knows about which coin will be the fork of bitcoin, but I do think there will be a new coin that will grow to replace the old coin as mentioned above.

I was a bit surprise that this year there isn't so much noise about bitcoin fork unlike last year, there is always high expectations when a fork date is announced as far the price of bitcoin is concerned unavailability of btc forks this year could partly be responsible for the low volatility and momentum of the price.

When Bitcoin will be on fomo again , people will start to create forks again for a quick bucks . Forks last year boosted BTC price aswell , image if you hold like 1000 BTC and you can get 1000 BCH free , its kinda free money . So people bought even more btc to get free forks ... It's kinda sad . And look where are the fork projects heading currently ? Nowhere...

It's so sad to see that people actually bought these coins thinking that it's going to overthrow bitcoin from its throne simply because influential people told them so. But if we're going to play the logic here, the influential people have an enormous amount of bitcoins. If they don't hype the forks, no one will place buy orders and they will not make profit from it. So in order to end up with the best case scenario, they had to team up and create hype enough for them to sell their coins on a decent price. It's a million dollars worth of money just like that. And of course so the people who got ripped by this scenario are left hanging with messages that makes them keep holding even longer. Explanations like why the world is just not yet ready for the coin yet and you should even buy more because it'll increase in the future. Just so the actual investors don't feel bad about it.

Nonetheless, the possibility of those coins actually going somewhere in the future isn't entirely zero although when we look at the present charts, they are not looking good.

Bitcoin Zero is the next Bitcoin Fork! But do you really want a bitcoin fork coin? All of the bitcoin forks are like a shit coin, they made investors poor! The fork is not a good thing for waiting! Except for BCH, I did not see any good Bitcoin fork at all! SBTC, B2X Price was more than 800-1200 USD and now, they are almost finished!
