• Coin Control panel via Market page - Never leave the market you are actively trading, we'll provide you with a button that will popup all the tools you need to see deposits, withdraws, trades, trade history, cancels etc.  You'll even be able to withdraw right from the coins market page.[/l]

Currently we have over 50 coin pairs, each available to trade to BTC, LTC or DGC.

Security

I have taken many measures to secure your data.  I recently hired a penetration tester and we have fixed any issues that were found.  We are currently behind a WAF appliance and will be monitoring the traffic along with the IPs etc that attack.  If you find a bug you feel may be exploited please report it to me for a small bounty.

Integrity

Myself and the CryptoALTeX team will do our best to maintain a high level of integrity.  Each of us have been burned by stolen coins somewhere along the line.  We will post to twitter, the system status page, and IRC whenever we have any issues.  We will also post timely updates when we are in maintenance.  One of the most frustrating things to a user is being unaware of what is going on while your funds are tied up.  We will do our best to alleviate this pain.

I've been working with chiznitz to help secure his exchange with many of the same methods I use for MyWl.lt, and as he mentioned he also hired a penetration tester to find any remaining holes. It's definitely a nice looking exchange, is there any chance you can code in some graphs to show trending for the coins ? Preferably with an option to select between candlestick & line and options to select between timeframes ie last hour, 6 hours, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, all time ?

Also can I suggest adding Noblecoin to your exchange, thanks

Have traded on here and it was great, everything went smoothly.

Some simple suggestions:
-Show trade volume for the last 24h somewhere for each pairing
-Include the sum of all current buy orders and sum of all current sell orders

Also, I noticed when I was putting in a buy order you can click your BTC balance but it puts the value in the 'Amount' field when I was expecting it to go into the 'Total Buy (BTC)' field. This way you just enter the price you want to pay per coin and then click your balance and it automatically calculates the max amount of coins you can purchase with your balance of BTC, and this value appears in the 'Amount' field.

Nice but what's up with all the new exchanges using so little screen space?

I mean I'm sure most people are using atleast Full HD resolution with +20" screens and now all this space is not used.

Every frame is the size of of a matchbox and requires endless scrolling to get more information than first ~5 trades.

Not sure if you were the one I helped with a ticket or not.   I'm investigating why but out of over 1200 addresses generated for users there somehow was an empty address column in the btc address table in my database when i woke up the one morning.  Once I removed that column addresses were assigned just fine.  Sorry about that.

I was having some deposit issues from pools and had to make a bunch of manual deposits for users, hence why I've been MIA.  I didn't expect BlackCoin to generate so much volume, remember this was the very first day the exchange was open.

I have pushed some new code to the site along with some new coins.  You can now exchange LTC/BTC to buy other coins if you want.  We will be working hard at opening other markets so that you don't have to pay double fees to exchange to the coin you want.

We have also added QuarkBar, Continuum, and Gridcoin.

This past week was pretty awesome but being a new system with almost 1300 user registration, the small bugs hit me hard with tickets.  Most of the issues were withdrawal and 2fa emails not arriving to @qq.com email addresses along with pool deposit issues that I have since fixed.

I have moved the fees up to standard exchange fees and will continue to keep the withdrawal fees at a "hope I break" even price.

I'll take a look into noblecoin.  Charts should be coming soon.  It's currently at the top of our checklist and I think my other dev is going to be working on that tomorrow.  He's in bed now and I hope to wake up to some more awesomeness like I did this morning with the new theme.  I woke up and saw the new theme on our development box and I was very excited.  The best part is he coded in the ability to change themes, now traders can select what they want :)

For some coin,this Is a good news,but there must some rules to keep coins' quality

The market truely is getting flooded with coins.  It's a shame because there are some out there with great potential.

Personally I'm a DGC fan and I can see that coin being used as an everyday currency.  I just can't see waiting in line to pay for a coffee with bitcoin.

I'm having some problems with my deposit. I recently deposited a large amount of Quarkbars and i have not received them. Anybody else with this problem?

Could you please provide more information?  I did an audit on the system and the 2 biggest deposits were credited already and already traded, all information links to the same userid which is expected. 

I see 0 deposits in the transaction/blockchain that have not been credited to accounts.  ALso if you have issues like this please open a ticket and I'll be able to get to them in a more timely fashion as I have the ticket queue open all day.

Also the user that reported not receiving their coins must be trolling, they posted in another thread and have yet to contact me for support.  I've looked up and mapped their username to an account in my system that never even clicked on the deposit link for quarkbars so either he has another account or he's mad at us :(

Great work getting the graphs up.

Now we need to market the site to get it as big as the other exchanges!

We're working on it we have some other fun things in the works to help bring people over, still working on building out some more infrastructure, hoping to get some extra load balancing for the front in sometime today but for sure by the end of the weekend.

Also should be pushing a small fix today to auto fill the price box.  The fix will also allow you to click your BTC balance to autopopulate, right now it populates the wrong field :)

Not sure why you are having issues.  I haven't had a single other person with any issues besides some SHAcoin issues that were related to SHACoin and have since been resolved.


Have you tried to run a traceroute to the website?   

We did block a couple IPs for attacking us and I've disabled some accounts that were trying to exploit withdraws (unsuccessfully of course)


We are working on opening LTC/DGC markets and haven't been hitting the forums up as much, we should have these updates ready by the weekend

This is a new trading site? Look beyond the trading site now.

We have been around for 3 months now.  Not nearly as new as many of the "new" exchanges that are popping up.


We have a lot of nice changes coming in, developer giveaway abilities, a smoother navigation for trading than most sites currently have as well

Actually I like your site and would still like to see it keep developing. It will just need a bit more time to build trust before the trading volume goes up

Don't really understand why you didn't get enough volume as you were a decent exchange and not out to screw coins & people over like scampal (I really hate them since they fucked everyone over with the XSI votes)

Still at least you can say you ran an exchange and have gotten experience from it which should hold you well in the future

It had nothing to do with trust.  People just go where the volume already is.  I should be one of the most trust worthy exchanges, my personal information is readily available by googling my name, I'm a registered business etc. many of these exchanges have none of that. In fact I listed a coin that went to sharexcoin the day after I listed it and they had volume and I had 0 sales....guess how sharexcoin is doing now? 

I feel the community should stand up for themselves and only use exchange where the owners are known and stop using exchanges where owners hide behind screen names. 

Sharexcoin is gone. I think it's now the golden time for you to keep your exchange running. A good number of altcoins that relied on Sharexcoin are now desperately seeking alternative exchanges for trading. You just need to add those altcoins and your trading volume is guarantied

If I were you, I'd keep running the exchange for a while at least to capture the volume

It does take time to build up trust. This time you don't run away and allow everyone to withdraw their coins before shutting down does help building up trust ;)

Only if you persist longer... Maybe you should add new coins more frequently. Run them under SELinux/Apparmour for security.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.  We of course still have the code and can watch what goes on in the exchange world.  Right now its just too hard to compete with some other higher volume exchanges that add coins we have as soon as they see any volume/movement on them.  CryptoALTeX was two people, i did all of the base code and when I realized I needed help I brought matugm on board and he really knocked out some great code, the problem is I have a full time job and two daughters, one of which is only a month old.  I found it really hard to keep up with everything maintenance wise on the exchange and that left matugm to do almost all of the coding.  Since we didn't have that much volume matugm had to find other work as his lively hood depends on freelance work.  This led to him having to take on other things.

We had a 3rd person on board that was paid to do our new front end interface but they had a bunch of real life stuff hit and wasn't able to focus on the project, we figured the new front end would be 5 days of hard coding, after 35 days we realized it may not happen unless we do it ourselves and since we were already stretched thing we thought it best to shutdown to avoid the eventual inevitable of being overwhelmed and causing issues for our customers.
