Post by: greenalliancegroup on February 25, 2014, 03:03:16 AM
How you raise your activity on bitcointalk.org and become a hero member? Beside being active on the forums and replying to post. How would I get to hero member for Bitcointalk.org?

You need to gain more activity. You can read more about activity and member groups in the sticky in this subforum, but basically you get a max of 14 activity points every two week period.

Nobody cares about the status. Newbie, by name, no longer restricts anything you can do.

You cannot accelerate your "activity" rating any faster than to post at least once every two weeks.

Have they changed the system then? When I registered it was based on post count :/

*sigh* vanish for a few months and everything changes. There was no trust system the last time I was active...

it's still posts number based... Nothing has changed.

Well, it's posts vs time: you need to post at least once every two week period to get the full 14 activity points.

What do you mean by sticky? I would like to raise my activity.

He meant the stickied (always on the top) threads in this board (Meta).

Every 2 weeks since the date of your account creation 14 activity is alloted. No more no less. Time is really of the essence.

Bullshit. Newbies have massive post limits. I can't reply to a post, then report another post. I have to wait like 5 min between each action.

Because that was meant to identify spammers and scammers here. If that was allowed then all we can see here are posts full of trolls all throughout the threads.

They didn't, but but now they do again, because new members unrestricted tend to do unsocial things like post signature ads to bump four-year old threads.

I don't recall doing anything special.  All I did was make (generally) relevant posts to constructive threads.

I did most of my posting a few years back and then slowed down.  Back in the day we were all talking about mining which I found very interesting.  Now everyone's all hung up on what kind of member ranking you have and how long it takes to advance.  I don't remember knowing or caring about that.
