noticed that gox is offline and trading halted.   is this the end of gox for good?

At least that dysfunctional site is finally gone now. It was hanging like a dark cloud over bitcoin.

true..  the sellers are losing steam and coinbase was running out of coins off and on all the way down.. if it is was total panic they would be swamped in coins

Until there is an official statement, you cant be sure.

The buyout theory is looking likely to me. IDGAF though, I only have a couple coins there.

this sucks. how did this all started with gox in the first place?
