Without evidence nobody can know anything. It could just as easily have been purchased by somebody attempting to divide the market and slow the descent maximizing profits. Until MtGox makes a press release explaining their actions I can't believe it's a Gox plan. Gox just committed suicide; they committed a cardinal sin in business. Never close the doors unannounced when holding customer money. It doesn't matter what their plan was. They've given up the ghost...
