Title: Re: Poll: Do you actually believe Mt.Gox lose the money? Post by: sgk on February 25, 2014, 08:35:17 AM 350 Million Dollars.
Wonder how much wrong a company would have to do to lose 350 Mil Title: Re: Poll: Do you actually believe Mt.Gox lose the money? Post by: samsonn25 on February 25, 2014, 08:37:39 AM I dont think they ever has 750,000 BTC in their combined accounts as they claim.
There is only like 12 million minted. As you know 90% of that BTC is held by like 80 people. SO assuming less than 20% of that is available float, 2.4M in the whole world. Its hard to believe Mt Gox had 33% of it. Title: Re: Poll: Do you actually believe Mt.Gox lose the money? People and the media were calling Bitcoin dead and the exchanges useless after that bubble burst yet look where we are today. But just to be clear they lost their money due to their incompetence!

Post by: boumalo on February 25, 2014, 01:16:02 PM I can hardly believe a company handling million of $ can be unaware of daily balance until 744,000 coins stolen. They were handling hundreds of millions of dollars but it doesn't mean they are professional and skilled in every aspect of their business, it barely means they were here at the right time, took risks and got lucky |
